The director stood up to greet them, while the other three sat with smiles on their faces.
Only then did Yu Ting shift her gaze elsewhere. The other two mentors were in their thirties and forties, radiating a kind of temperament formed by years of experience.
There were also people from the directorial team sitting nearby, grinning from ear to ear, delighted to have these four people present.
"Hello."
Yu Ting stood upright at the side, responding with a smile.
After exchanging a few words with the group, she began to introduce herself, considering they were all going to work together on a reality show for ten episodes.
Going anticlockwise, the first to speak was a middle-aged man who seemed to be close to fifty. He appeared casual, probably used to being relaxed in his daily life. He wore a gown and his face wore an easy-going smile.
"Hello, my name is Wen Shan."
Wen Shan, recognized for his early years of successful stock trading and gambling, later became an entrepreneur. Now, he had three sons and though he was over fifty, he had retired five years ago, leaving his family business to his sons. He now enjoyed his leisure time, strolling and bird-watching whenever he pleased.
As he finished, the others clapped politely in welcome.
Next was a woman of elegance and sophistication. Sitting in her chair with a graceful posture, hands resting on her thighs, she introduced herself, "Hello, my name is Ling Wanlin."
Ling Wanlin, a well-known philanthropist and founder of the Shanyou Foundation, had a great reputation inland.
Then came the third, Zhou Guorui.
The old man greeted them all with his signature grin, despite being the oldest, his tone of introduction was light-hearted: "Hello, I’m Zhou Guorui."
What Yu Ting didn’t know was that he was a well-known stickler in Nanshan City. Zhou Guorui, retired at sixty, had a massive wealth inherited from his ancestors. Now, the company and all other properties were managed by his grandsons, giving him great freedom to enjoy his retirement.
All three of them were wealthy, each effortlessly rich and comfortable.
Yu Ting wondered if they were participating in this show just to pass the time and spend some money.
At last, it was Yu Ting’s turn. As the youngest among them, compared to the previous three, she stood up and gave a brief self-introduction, her expression gentle.
After getting to know each other briefly, the group talked about the reality show while the directorial team reiterated the rules.
The Dreamers would share their stories with the four mentors and the audience. Then, the mentors would decide whether to comment or sponsor, followed by the voting process.
Overall, the rules of the show were quite straightforward.
Once the four mentors had memorized the rules, it was already late. The directorial team then organized a lunch for everyone to attend.
The show "Dreaming Twenty-first Century" was scheduled to start filming the following day at 2 p.m. In the meantime, Lu Nanchen had visited her in the company’s car a few times.
As the time approached two o’clock, the venue was set up, the audience was led in, and Yu Ting, along with the other three mentors, took their seats facing the center of the stage, which offered a great view of the entire stage.
Yu Ting sat at the far right, next to Zhou Guorui, followed by Ling Wanlin, with Wen Shan at the far left.
There wasn’t much interaction between Zhou Guorui and Wen Shan, always separated by distance and objects.
