"Try this, I just learned to make it this afternoon." Lu Nanchen served a portion of the dish into Yu Ting’s bowl, saying with a nonchalant expression.

This afternoon, he not only used her card to buy groceries but also purchased a few cookbooks.
Don’t the female leads in novels usually win the hearts of the male leads through their stomachs?
Lu Nanchen thought the reverse could work as well.
Yu Ting took a careful bite, her eyes leisurely rolling around.
The dish was indeed tasty, but was a bit bland.
Yu Ting couldn’t help but ponder.
"It’s quite good, but slightly bland. Adding more spices or chili would make it better."
The latter looked at Yu Ting indifferently.
"You’re about to start your period, you can’t eat spicy food."
"Oh, I haven’t started yet." Which implied that she could still eat spicy food.
"Better safe than sorry."

Lu Nanchen prepared the meals and also did the dishes after, not wanting Yu Ting to touch cold water.
Yu Ting sat on the sofa, her chin rested on her hand as she stared at the busy man in the kitchen, looking somewhat entranced.
Happiness and excitement flooded her heart, as though they were about to spill out of her body.
However, her thoughts then wandered elsewhere.
What if during summer, she craves ice cream or yogurt?
Hold back for seven or eight months every year, year after year?
The more she thought about it, the more Yu Ting’s brows furrowed. It was a big test of willpower for someone who adored these two items so much.
However, what she didn’t know was that there would be a summer in the future when she would give in to temptation to eat, which led to a tormenting stomachache at night.
She ate some cold dairy products which led to her lower abdomen throbbing in pain all night. Her face was a sickly pale without any colour, even her lips shared the same pallor.
The bleeding worsened, she perspired heavily, due to both heat and pain.
Not only was she in pain, so was Lu Nanchen. Looking at Yu Ting writhing in pain on the bed, he let out a sigh, his heart aching in sympathy.
"Will you blame me for eating recklessly?" Yu Ting asked, looking visibly unwell, one hand on her stomach, her hair damp with sweat.
"No."
Lu Nanchen responded with an answer that surprised Yu Ting, then proceeded to make her a cup of ginger and brown sugar tea.
"You’ve always wanted to eat but couldn’t, you’ve been enduring this for years."
Lu Nanchen continued to provide care till late that night and followed by Yu Ting, was busy to the point of sweating even in midsummer. But these were all things that happened in the past.

A few days later.
Yu Ting went to the company to attend to business matters for two consecutive days. Having settled quite a few issues, she started preparing to head towards Yuanmeng Variety Company, the inaugural show was only a day away.
After arriving at the company, she was led in by a dedicated receptionist.
Having exited the car, her assistant carried her stuff and was led by a company employee to a hotel in advance. She checked into a high-end and well-rated hotel.
Meanwhile.
Yu Ting entered the company alone, was led upstairs to the second floor by the program team and entered a hall, where she met the three other coaches.
Two males and one female.
Yu Ting’s pace slowed as she saw a familiar face among the three coaches.
A man close to 180 cm tall, ruddy complexion, looking quite healthy, with a characteristic smile on his face, his temples and beard were tinged with white.
It was the same person she had seen previously in Nanshan City, Zhou Guorui.
Yu Ting’s gaze settled on Zhou Guorui for quite some time.
He was here too, wonder how important he was?
"Welcome, Director Yu."
