With Lu’s mother’s hand in his, Lu Xiaobao also politely called out for Lu Nanchen, and then followed his grandmother into the living room.
Not only did he follow his grandmother, but Lu Xiaobao also started running, he let go of his grandma’s hand and scampered into the house. Upon seeing Yu Ting, he stopped and gave a wide grin, showing his missing tooth.
"Little Saosao!"
Lu Xiaobao’s speech whistled through his missing tooth. 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢
He quickly ran to Yu Ting’s side, but stopped a short distance before her, refraining from pouncing over.
Auntie told him not to collide into little sister-in-law.
Yu Ting, who felt the commotion at the door, quickly stood up from the sofa. She reached out and touched Lu Xiaobao, and then greeted the Lu’s mother and her own mother, who were following him, with a smile: "Mom, you guys are here."
Lu’s mother saw Yu Ting carrying her precious grandson in her arms and was thrilled. Her face was radiant as she replied, "Mm, we just wanted to visit you, didn’t we?"
Saying so, she gently nudged Yu Ting’s mother who was standing next to her.
Following behind was Yu’s mother, holding a couple of things in her hand. Seeing her daughter who is now so different from before, she coughed awkwardly and said, "Well, I was afraid that you wouldn’t know how to take care of yourself."
Yu Ting’s mom had a long history of disputes with the original owner of the body. After a long time of not quarreling, she didn’t quite get the tone of conversation right and seemed quite awkward.
"Nanchen is here, no need to worry about that," Lu’s mother reassured, placing her things down and sitting on the sofa. "How have you been feeling lately? Is your morning sickness getting any better?"
Yu’s mother also carefully placed down the precious things she brought and sat down.
The three women were now seated in the living room, with Yu Ting in the middle, and her mother and mother-in-law on either side.
Yu Ting responded with a light smile, "It’s getting better, not vomiting as fiercely."
It was the feeling of the ’farmer’s liberation through song.’ Just a few months ago, she was only worth assisting with the meals and now, she had become the center of attention.
"Ah, morning sickness. There’s not much to do about it, but you should be better after these few weeks. Once you’re a couple of months in, you’ll stop vomiting," Lu’s mother encouraged with a heartfelt tone.
"Mm, make sure to rest and not tire yourself out. Otherwise, it will get worse," Yu’s mother chimed in, looking at her daughter. Her eyes welled up but she quickly averted her gaze.
"Mm, I’ll take care."
Lu Xiaobao was now lying by Yu Ting’s leg, swinging Yu Ting’s thigh a few times: "Little Saosao, will I have a little nephew soon?"
"When can Xiaobao meet him?"
Yu Ting hadn’t thought about that. The due date seemed to be over nine months away. She hadn’t done the math, only knowing that it was far away.
Lu’s mother explained excitedly: "In about eight months or so, you should be able to see him. I did the math the night I talked to Lu Nanchen. It might be a bit earlier."
Yu Ting made a mental note of this and Lu Xiaobao made a note as well, then started doing the math in his head.
"Eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve..."
"That means I’ll see my little nephew next New Year!"
Lu Xiaobao was even happier when he figured out the date. He patted his chest and told his grandma, "Then from now on, Xiaobao will start saving money to give my little nephew New Year money~"
The older ones should give to the younger ones. Xiaobao also wanted to prepare for his little nephew!
