After half an hour’s drive from Qingheng City, one can see the sea to the far north which is about the same size as the city itself.
The four guesthouses are located in different parts of Qingheng City, each with its own unique style.
Guesthouse No.1 is a bit out of the way, located in the suburbs, to the north is the sea and to the south is the city outskirts. It’s a country-style house, built entirely of wood, one storey and a single room, covering an area of nearly 100 square meters. It comes furnished, and there’s a tree outside that’s been there for decades providing shade.
The four pairs of guests took a brief tour inside with the crew.
As Zhan Zheng took a look around, he held the hand of the woman on his arm and asked gently, "How is it? Do you like it?"
"I like it. It’s pretty and the environment is good. The crew has great taste."
As soon as Yao Yingying finished speaking, Zhan Zheng leaned over, stroked her nose with his hand, and said, "Silly goose, if you like it, I’ll buy it for you."
The camera operator was filming them.
The second couple was followed by the second camera operator, and so on.
Yu Ting, who was following behind, took a few glances at the environment and asked Lu Nanchen a similar question, "How is it? Do you like this kind of house?"
Lu Nanchen glanced at Yu Ting, then touched the wall and answered seriously, "I don’t like it. This kind of house is prone to damp, bugs, and is poor in fire resistance and earthquake resistance, although it might look nice."
His remarks criticizing the crew’s efforts in public left the third camera operator at a loss for words.
Uh.
"Hmm, I think so too." Yu Ting quickly agreed.
The camera operator: ...
Indeed, you can’t know a family without living with them.
After the crew and the guests took turns to visit all the guesthouses, they returned to Guesthouse No.1 for a tour and then moved on to Guesthouse No.2.
Guesthouse No.2 is in the centre of Qingheng City and was relatively small and average in terms of setup. 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖
After a more than half an hour tour, the crew headed to Guesthouse No.3, which was next to the ocean, featuring a business-like, minimalist style.
Guesthouse No.4 was the closest to the sea. The house wasn’t large, only about 70 square meters, enough for two people. It comes with a viewing garden that faces the ocean, allowing visitors to see the blue sea and gentle waves.
A sightseeing spot with the sound of the roaring sea.
Pretty good.
Once the crew had taken the four couples around all four guesthouses, they started drawing lots.
Qiao Qing was the first to draw, followed by Ren Yingying, then Yu Ting, and finally Tong Na.
When Yu Ting was drawing lots, there were only two options left. She pulled out a piece of paper that prominently read: No.4.
"I drew No.4." Yu Ting showed Lu Nanchen the slip of paper in her hand.
"No.4 is good, the view’s great." Lu Nanchen commented.
Once the guesthouses were assigned, the crew left, giving space to the four couples and their individual camera operators.
Considering they would be staying at this guesthouse for the next three days, Lu Nanchen tidied it up simply, changing the bedsheet and quilt cover for a clean set.
Meanwhile, Yu Ting sat on the chair, watching a TV show on her iPad for a while, then leaning her chin on her hand to gaze at the scenery.
This mundane routine was to continue for the next seven to eight months.
But Yu Ting didn’t find it boring; instead, she was somewhat looking forward to the birth of their child.
It would surely be interesting.
As time went by with the sound of the waves crashing against the rocks, Lu Nanchen finished tidying up and sat across from Yu Ting, starting to tell her stories and knowledge about general topics.
"Today we continue with gossipy stories about famous people."
The man’s voice was steady and reliable, accompanied by the sound of the waves.
