His voice was not too loud or soft, just loud enough for Zhou Chengyan to hear. He sat on the sofa, his legs crossed under the table. Zhou Chengyan took a light sip of coffee, his eyes gazing at the deep brown surface of the liquid. The corner of his mouth curved upwards excessively.
"Prison food? What prison food can I possibly eat?"
"You know very well what," Yu Ting retorted swiftly. She didn’t move, not willing to approach Zhou Chengyan at all.
Even breathing the same air in the room made her lungs uncomfortable.
Yu Ting thought Zhou Chengyan was acting presumptuous, lawless. Who knew what line he had crossed? Perhaps if she investigated him, she might unearth something.
"So, you want to threaten me with this?" Zhou Chengyan finished his coffee, resting his crossed hands on his legs. His smiling eyes, watching her closely, resembled those of a python, sizing up its prey. "Come and sit, let’s chat."
He was curious about Yu Ting, wanting to know more.
Plus, given she was pregnant, he became ever more curious.
Curiosity about how she would react if Lu Nanchen cheated on her.
Just like his own parents.
Yu Ting remained silent, still standing.
This man was unpredictable.

"If you want to keep the child in your belly, you will sit down." After Zhou Chengyan paused for a minute or two, seeing that Yu Ting did not respond, he added. He then took another sip of his coffee.
Hearing his words, Yu Ting was first stunned, then she realized she was being blackmailed. She made a face and gave a disapproving monosyllabic grunt.
She was really annoyed.
"What can I possibly say to you? Where are the people from Ousheng Electron Entertainment? I knew you were not among the executive team there."
She made no move to engage him. She glared at the bodyguards who blocked her way. Her gaze was so fierce, unlike anything you would expect. She set her jaw, a spark glowed in her eyes.
"Move."
Zhou Chengyan looked at Yu Ting’s irascible behavior, amusement dancing in his heart. He found her quite interesting, her tone and words pushed all the wrong buttons.
"Hmm... I should have my name added there."
"Don’t make me slap you."
The words slipped through gritted teeth, one by one. Already on edge from feeling deceived and threatened, Yu Ting was swiftly getting angry.
Her eyes landed on a chair nearby.
Considering the feasibility of hitting him with a chair.
Seeing that the bodyguards did not budge, Yu Ting took out her phone from her bag and dialed 110 (police).
As soon as she took out her phone, a bodyguard tried to reach her to snatch it away.
Barely taking a few steps, he was kicked by Yu Ting to the side, while she spat out a contemptuous command: "Get lost."
"It’s not good if you’ve disturbed the fetus," Zhou Chengyan said lightly, his lips curved into a smirk.
"Just a chat, now you aren’t willing?"
"Ousheng Electron Entertainment belongs to my brother. What’s wrong if I negotiate a deal on his behalf? He didn’t object, why do you?"
"Get lost, there’s no more negotiation, back off." Yu Ting waved her hand dismissively, her movement rather exaggerated as she abruptly stood up.
"Are all pregnant women as temperamental as you?" Zhou Chengyan jibed nonchalantly, disregarding the gravity of the situation. He splayed his hands in the air before resting them on the back of the sofa.
"Just sit and chat with me, and you can take as much profit as you want from the Ousheng Electron Entertainment project. You can even take up to 90%."

Zhou Chengyan continued to talk.
But before Zhou Chengyan could say more, Yu Ting took advantage of the bodyguards backing off and briskly walked down the stairs, not wasting any time.
The bodyguards recovered shortly and started chasing her.
Just as the bodyguards were about to catch up with her, Yu Ting saw a familiar face on the ground floor.
Lu Nanchen.
