Voices came from Gu Nian’s earpiece, as the Federation’s observation team located in District One analyzed the data through satellite imaging and provided Gu Nian with advice and strategies.
The monster quickly finished its meal and immediately sprung towards the men, dashing incredibly fast.
Its prey was nearly within its reach.

Gu Nian pulled out a sniper rifle from her bag, set it up, aimed, and successfully hit the monster’s eye.
"Grr!" The monster howled in pain, stopping its chase, as it covered its bleeding eye with one claw.
The bullets, specially created by the Federation, were highly damaging to these mutant monsters.
Gu Nian quickly switched to a portable rifle, jumped into the community compound, and aimed as she ran to the left.
"Grrr!"
Despite the pain, the monster adjusted its direction and ran straight towards Gu Nian. Swinging a claw in her direction, it shot a blue Ability Sphere at her.
Gu Nian veered to the right, accelerating and dodging the Ability Sphere. She hid behind a residential building, widened the gap, exchanged the rifle for the sniper rifle, and knelt into position.
Bang.
A moment later, the monster turned around, and it was hit by another bullet.
This time, it cleverly swung its claw to block the bullet and launched another Ability Sphere, which hit and neutralized the bullet midair, causing an explosion.
"Grrr!"
The monster howled towards heaven and charged at Gu Nian.
Gu Nian quickly got up and climbed the stairs, placing a metal disc on each step as she moved higher, laying down one every few steps.
The monster pursued Gu Nian up the stairs, stepping on the discs as it ran, which exploded upon making contact.
Gu Nian laid down discs as she ran, and the monster was hit by successive blasts in its pursuit. When Gu Nian reached the rooftop of the fifteenth floor, she once again set up her sniper rifle, waiting for the monster to appear.

The monster appeared in the doorway, and it was hit in the forepaw by a shot.
By now, its four paws were bloody and mangled from the series of explosions, causing its speed to significantly decrease.
"It’s exhausted now. All you need is to find the right moment to aim at its chest and fire," a voice came through Gu Nian’s earpiece.
Upon having its forepaw shot through, the monster let out a painful howl, and it stopped running.
Gu Nian remained in her position, aimed at the monster’s chest, and pulled the trigger.

To her surprise, after landing a precise shot on the monster, Gu Nian heard the sound of breaking glass. Her expression as well as her movements froze momentarily.

"Grr!"
The monster let out a wild roar, and its body was engulfed in a dark, expanding mist that entirely shrouded it.
"Not good, the monster’s Ability Sphere fluctuation is becoming extremely strong, it’s no longer an A-class monster, run!"
