Just as Yu Ting was about to take a look to see what was going on, the private room door was rudely pushed open, with Shen Ruchu standing in the doorway, full of fury.
As expected, she spotted Yu Ting at this place and time.
Thinking about it, Shen Ruchu’s face turned purple with rage. She stood at the door, surveyed the room, and nearly shouted, "Where is Zhang Hao?!"
Guilty as charged, Yu Ting pursed her lips and shook her head, "He left. Didn’t you see when you came? You must have missed him."
The casual tone infuriated Shen Ruchu even more. She swiftly stepped forward, slammed her bag on the table with a bang, saying, "Good job, Yu Ting, well done."
"Of course."
"Compared to you, I am undoubtedly better." Despite Shen Ruchu’s proximity, Yu Ting’s tone and pace of speech remained unchanged. She found Shen Ruchu’s disposition amusing.
Inside the private room, there were two women. One angry, the other infuriating.
"What’s your attitude? Have you lost face? Deceiving me behind my back? Huh? What, do you want to rise to power in Southwest Entertainment? Speak up!" As Shen Ruchu spoke more animatedly and observed Yu Ting’s lackadaisical manner, she felt like punching a bag of cotton. This only led to her increased agitation.
Looking around, she noticed some pastries and mousse on the table next to Yu Ting. She puffed out her cheeks and swept everything onto the floor.
The plates shattered and clattered as they hit the floor.
"Let me tell you, you will not succeed. I hold 32% of Southwest Entertainment’s shares. I am the undisputed CEO! You, have no chance."
Here we go again, she’s smashing things in a tantrum.
How boring.
Yu Ting rolled her eyes in front of Shen Ruchu, not responding to her.
Needless to say, cold violence is a very irritating strategy. Despite Shen Ruchu’s rant, she received no response from Yu Ting. She felt like Yu Ting’s gaze was filled with pity.
Pity?
Pity who?
Pity me?
"You little brat, speak up!"
"What’s with that look in your eyes? Huh?"
Shen Ruchu was frustrated, especially after being constantly rebuffed and provoked by Yu Ting. She was so furious she could hardly move.
She really wanted to know how there could be such an irritating woman in this world.
Just as Shen Ruchu was about to rush forward and physically attack Yu Ting, Yu Ting finally reacted, stepping back and kicking hard at Shen Ruchu’s flat belly.
Doing so to create some distance between them.
"Shen Ruchu, are you a shrew?"
"Ah, I’m going to kill you, you cunning and uneducated woman." Shen Ruchu, who was not only ignored but also kicked, felt an intense pain. At that moment, she was ready to faint from rage.
Just as she was about to go all out and pounce on Yu Ting, her flailing hands were abruptly grabbed mid-air. Before she could react, she was thrown onto the side wall by the person behind her.
She felt a sudden loss of weight and then fell unsteadily against the wall.
Her vision blurred and when it cleared, she saw the person behind her.
Lu Nanchen.
At that moment, Lu Nanchen was standing rigidly beside Shen Ruchu. The hand that had just thrown Shen Ruchu aside was veined and hot.
With rage.
"Shen Ruchu."
