Ning Xuan’s mother was somewhat startled by Song Yue’s solemn disposition. After a moment, she greeted him warmly, "Hello hello, you really are a promising young man."
"Oh, I’m just lucky," Song Yue responded with a humble smile.
Although he didn’t show anything on the surface, Song Yue knew he was inwardly flustered. This whole scene was an eyesore to him.
He was behaving in a way that Ning Xuan had never seen before in the office. He was acting as if he was seriously negotiating with a business partner.
Observing his demeanor, Ning Xuan asked, "Boss, did you come here for a business meeting?"
"No, I just came here to solve the lunch issue." Song Yue responded, standing upright next to Ning Xuan’s dining table without any intention of leaving, smiling at their elders.

"If you don’t mind, join us. The food hasn’t arrived yet." After observing Song Yue for a moment, Ning Xuan’s mother offered.
"I don’t mind at all," Song Yue replied to Ning Xuan’s mother’s invitation. He asked the waiter to add a chair between Ning Xuan and Zhang Bin, then sat down with a soft smile on his face, "I hope I’m not intruding."
"No no, not at all," Ning Xuan’s mother responded. Although confused about why things had come to this, she felt it was a good opportunity to treat her daughter’s boss to a meal. Maybe it was her way of thanking him for taking care of her daughter.
Ning Xuan’s mother was seriously considering it, oblivious to the fact that the Aunt Liu beside her was grinning like a blooming flower. Aunt Liu kept muttering "Xuanxuan is so lucky" in her heart and pushed the menu that had been ordered but not yet handed to the waiter, to Song Yue. "See if there’s anything else you’d like to order."
"Thank you," Song Yue graciously replied. After scanning the menu, he added Mapo Tofu and Hams and Shrimps Steamed Eggs. He then handed the menu to the waiter and said, "Could you please charge this to my account?"
He then handed over his bank card.
"Wait, when did you start liking Mapo Tofu and Steamed Eggs?" Ning Xuan glanced casually at the two dishes Song Yue had added, asking out of curiosity.
Maybe Zhang Bin had only seen the boss eating luxurious food, so he didn’t know the boss liked these two hearty home-style dishes?
Glancing at her, Song Yue replied, "I ordered them because I saw you liked them."
He made the admission openly without regard for the three other people present, projecting his voice so that all could hear.
After a moment, Zhang Bin finally responded, quickly interjecting, "Sir, how could we let you pay? I should be the one paying."
"You also work hard to earn your salary. You should save it for yourself," Song Yue said with a laugh, determined to pick up the tab.
Then, sizing up Zhang Bin, he asked innocently, "Are you a real estate agent?"
"Huh? No."
Still wearing an innocent smile, Song Yue continued: "Are you an insurance salesman then?"
"?"
"No."
"He works at a job market," Ning Xuan answered for him.
As if contemplating, Song Yue responded: "Oh, so you have graduated and started working already."
"Yes, that’s right!" Aunt Liu quickly answered, then turned to Zhang Bin, "By the way, Binbin, which university did you graduate from?"
"Aunt Liu, I graduated from Lujian University of Technology. It’s a 211 university."
"211 is good, it’s a good university." Song Yue interjected with a compliment, immediately attracting Aunt Liu’s attention.
Following his comment, Aunt Liu asked, "What about you?"
