After explaining things to Hobart and Wuxian, Hobart headed to Rome. The little dog, who had stayed behind, did not return to her own house; she remained with Hobart.
The decoration of this place was not what she wanted, but the owner of the house made Wu Qian feel a greater sense of belonging.

"Leave! You shouldn't be here. You've violated the covenant against hunting humans. Where are your parents? I'm going to sentence them." This was a newly transformed newborn vampire who couldn't yet control his desires.
He lunged at Ivan, but missed.
Because Ivan had been playing the role of mentor for many years, he was inevitably soft-hearted. Instead of confronting him directly, he took a step back and deliberately avoided the confrontation.
This step led him into a trap; a white beam of light erupted from the ground, completely restricting Ivan's movements.
Applause erupted, and another man from the darkness stepped forward, a wicked smile playing on his lips. Before he even reached Ivan, he had already snapped the newborn vampire's head off.
"Long time no see, Ivan."
"I'm here to find someone."
