67. How about engagement?
As soon as Su Liu arrived at the castle, Vincent came down the spiral staircase with a thick ancient book in his hand.
"Liuliu, long time no see, you seem to have lost a lot of weight."
Su Liu said politely, "Long time no see, young master. You seem to be in high spirits."
Vincent smiled gracefully, stood in front of Su Liu, and looked at her with great interest.
Su Liu felt his back hair stand on end when he looked at him: "What are you looking at?"
"Look at the warrior who blacklisted my brother." Vincent had actually wanted to eat melon for a long time, but he never had the chance. "So, now you finally let him out of the blacklist?"
Su Liu felt that he was very well-informed: "Why do you say that?"
"My brother had been gloomy for a long time, and I was worried about this castle all the time," Vincent said deeply. "Suddenly one day, his face brightened up again."
Because I knew the reason why my brother was so moody, after his mood turned sunny, I could naturally guess what the reason was.
Vincent felt very happy about this.
Su Liu wasn't here to chat. After exchanging pleasantries, he asked, "Vion asked me to come. Where is he?"
"Study, but we have guests now. You can go to the guest room to rest first, or wait in the lobby." Vincent said, then looked at Selina and said, "Tell the gardener to send flowers to Liuliu's bedroom."
"Yes, young master." Selina left.
After Silena left, Su Liu was still thinking about what she had said.
What does it mean to be born not as a human being but as a weapon?
"Young Master, thank you for your kindness, but I have a lecture the day after tomorrow and have to go back to the association hotel later." Su Liu politely declined Vincent's kindness.
Vincent led her to the hall, looking back with an elegant and gentle smile.
"I know that the Ives family will provide you with a quiet environment to rest. If you still have any information that you haven't found out, you can ask my secretary general for help."
Su Liu was really helpless.
This family seemed to be used to talking to themselves and didn't care about other people's polite refusal.
The hall remains the same, simple and elegant, except for the large crystal chandelier on the ceiling which is too brilliant and gorgeous and doesn't quite match the overall style.
Su Liu looked up at the chandelier in a daze until Vincent personally placed the refreshments in front of her.
Sitting on the armrest, Vincent smiled and asked, "Liuliu, what do you think of me?"
Su Liu came back to his senses, "Huh?"
"Am I a good person, or someone you can get along with?"
Su Liu felt that there was a trap in this statement and he had to answer very carefully.
"To be honest, I don't spend much time with you."
Vincent laughed, "Liuliu is really honest."
He then asked, "Then do you think Huo Jie is a good person?"
"The Admiral? Of course he's a good man," Su Liu said seriously, "The Admiral has saved me many times. Although he's a little naughty sometimes, it's harmless."
He answered without hesitation.
There was some understanding in Vincent's eyes, and his smile became even brighter.
Su Liu didn't think there was anything wrong with his answer, but he felt that Vincent's smile was a bit weird.
She picked up the teacup and took a sip of tea, her eyes lit up: "What kind of tea is this? It tastes so mellow."
"Newly cultivated fermented black tea," Vincent filled her bottle. "Specially supplied to the nobility, rarely circulated among the common people. If you like it, take a box home."
Privileges always exist, whether on Earth or in the interstellar space today, so Su Liu didn't make a fuss.
"No, I seldom drink tea."
The two chatted for a while, and the silver-haired butler came over and whispered something to Vincent, but Vincent remained calm.
"Looks like that's all for today's chit-chat," Vincent said with a smile. "I have something to take care of. You stay here until Vion sends his guests away, okay?"
Su Liu nodded.
The deacon also bowed slightly and left with Vincent.
Su Liu was the only one left in the living room. He took out his laptop and replied to messages from his roommates.
At the moment the screen went black, a face appeared.
Su Liu said without even looking up, "Please don't stand quietly behind others."
Ansel glared at the top of her head with disgust: "Stupid woman, you're here again."
"Have you read too many novels? Do you really think you're a domineering CEO? All you talk about is women and women." Su Liu turned around and gave Ansel a middle finger: "Little brat."
Ansel was furious: "You are younger than me, you are obviously the little brat!"
Su Liu didn't know how he could make a lot of money with his personality. What Weiong said must be exaggerated.
"Okay, I'm not here to argue with you." Su Liu put away his laptop and saw a middle-aged man coming over.
"Ms. Su, please follow me. Vian is waiting for you in the study." The man politely gestured for invitation.
Su Liu stood up immediately, and Ansel followed closely behind.
"Hey, if the old man asks you to marry me and you dare agree, I won't let you go!" Ansel said viciously, "If we really get married, I'll make you eat vegetables every day!"
Su Liu rolled his eyes and ignored his shouting.
In the study, Victor wiped the photo frame again and again.
It was not until Su Liu came in that he put away the photo of himself and his teammates when he was young.
"Liuliu, I haven't seen you for a few months. You've grown a lot." Victor said with a smile, "If Mingzhu saw you now, he would definitely be very pleased."
Su Liu said helplessly, "If you don't force me to get married, I will be happy to share things about my father with you."
"Hahaha," Victor laughed loudly and continued, "This is my judgment. It's the only way to protect you. You don't have to understand it now, and you don't have to be grateful in the future."
Protect?
Su Liu didn't think he was worthy of being protected by a wealthy noble family like the Ives family.
Moreover, why does “protection” require marriage?
Victor didn't explain too much to Su Liu, and only said, "Because of your matter, my cold-hearted son took the initiative to talk to me for the first time in a long time."
Cold? Which one?
Su Liu didn't ask, so Victor continued, "He told me not to push you too much. So, I thought about it carefully for a long time and decided that I really should respect your decision."
Su Liu was delighted: "You're not rushing me anymore?"
Victor smiled and said, "Just until you're 24. If you still don't have someone you like after that, consider my son, okay?"
24 years old?
For Su Liu now, it seems a bit far away.
"Any conditions?" She didn't think that Vion would be so easy to talk to. After all, he had been so determined before and there was no room for turning back.
Sure enough, Victor gave the conditions: "First, get engaged to my son and become his fiancée. This engagement will last until you are 24 years old. If you don't find 'true love', then you can become his real wife."
