"Xu Nian, why didn't Tingyu come today?"
Xu Nian was naturally aware of these matters: "Reporting to Your Majesty, Lord Zhang requests a day off today."
And the reason is still unknown, but everyone can guess what it is.
Bobo said, "I know, thank you for your hard work."
After asking her question, Bobo got busy again.
Zhang Tingyu and Qiu Wen weren't busy at home; they were just idling together. However, they both seemed a little distracted, though it wasn't obvious on their faces, which was perfectly normal.
But when it's time to part, it's time to part. Qiu Wen acted perfectly normal on the day Zhang Tingyu left, only saying in a voice that Zhang Tingyu could hear, "I'll wait for you to come back."
Zhang Tingyu nodded solemnly: "Wait for me to come back."
The two hugged for a while before reluctantly parting.
Qiu Wen stared blankly at Zhang Tingyu's departing figure for a long time. Luo Xue couldn't bear to see her mistress like this, so after thinking for a moment, she went over and said, "Master, it's windy outside. If you catch a cold, Your Excellency will be worried."
Qiu Wen nodded: "Okay, let's go back!"
Qiu Wen didn't seem to do anything special after Zhang Tingyu left, but sometimes she would stare blankly at a certain place, and Luo Xue knew that her master was thinking about Zhang Tingyu.
Luo Xue witnessed the development of their relationship, and naturally felt sorry for her master. However, as someone with no experience in matters of the heart, she couldn't interfere.
The snow can only be dealt with by putting more effort into the food.
Bobo used the latest ships for this voyage, equipped with cannons. Some of the elite crew members were even specially equipped with muskets, which were essentially low-end pistols.
Zhang Tingyu and the others were still at sea. Bobo, Zhang Tingyu, and Fuqing were studying a map of Japan. In fact, they had studied the map many times, but there was nothing else to do at sea, so they could only study these things.
They were talking when suddenly no one knocked on the door.
Bobo said, "Come in."
"Greetings, Master. Greetings, gentlemen."
"Get up, what is it?"
"A small scout was sent out and discovered two large ships ahead, which did not appear to be merchant ships."
Bobo thought that since the large ship at sea didn't seem to be a merchant ship, it must be a pirate ship.
Since he planned to use his troops at sea, it was impossible for him to be completely unaware of the situation at sea. In recent years, he had been sending people to investigate the situation at sea.
Bobo understood that the sea was far more dangerous than he had imagined, with its unpredictable weather, mysterious and infinitely possible ocean, and countless pirates who could appear out of nowhere to cause trouble.
Bobo knew all this, so when that person mentioned this situation, Bobo and the others weren't surprised at all.
"Continue to investigate. If they mean no harm, don't provoke them."
Their target was Japan, a country teeming with pirates. Although the pirates outnumbered them, the Japanese were experienced at sea, and Bobo was confident he could hold his own against any of them. However, it would be a huge loss to fight the pirates before even reaching Japan.
"Yes, Master."
"The eldest prince doesn't intend to deal with the pirates?"
It was Fuqing who asked this question.
Bobo wasn't ignoring it, but not now. He knew what was important and what his main purpose was in coming out this time.
"We don't plan to confront the pirates for the time being."
Not long after, no one came to report that there had been no conflict between the two sides. This was normal, since Bobo had brought a lot of people with him this time, and so many ships, all of which were the latest models. In addition, the pirates had good eyesight and could tell that their ships were fast. If a fight had really broken out, the other side would have been at a disadvantage.
Bobo dares to guarantee that, more than them, the pirates are afraid of them initiating a conflict.
On a pirate ship not far from Bobo and his friends, someone reported: "Brother Da, the other side doesn't seem to want to fight us."
"Yeah, remind the brothers not to get into a conflict with them."
"yes"
The messenger left after delivering the message, and three people were born in the cabin: two boys and one girl.
One of the men spoke up: "Brother Da, according to the information we've gathered so far, the other side seems to be an official fleet. What are they planning to do?"
“And judging from their appearance, they don’t seem to be targeting us either,” the only woman said.
"I don't know, but it's better to be cautious. Let the brothers lay low for a while. The government is different after all."
"Yes, Brother Da."
Bobo and his companions sailed the seas and encountered more than one wave of pirates. Most of them were very honest and not stupid; they knew to give way. However, there were one or two waves that were truly hard to see clearly. They paid the price with their lives to understand what it meant to be a wise man who knows when to yield. Unfortunately, they never had the chance to put this saying into practice.
And so, they arrived in Japan relatively smoothly.
I wasn't completely unprepared for their arrival this time, so naturally I couldn't just lead my troops up and attack without a reason.
"We'll be able to dock tomorrow."
Their ship traveled at a decent pace, but there were some delays along the way, so it took them about half a month to reach Japan, which was neither a long nor a short time.
"Does the eldest prince really intend to go see their emperor?" Fuqing asked.
"We have to show our presence first. Remember, we're here for cultural exchange. As for everything else, that's just to protect my safety."
Bobo's statement is a vehement denial that these soldiers were specifically trained to deal with Japan, so that if they are bullied by Japan, they will have a legitimate reason to fight back.
And so, Bobo led his people to the Japanese Emperor. As a major Eastern power, they were naturally treated with great respect. Japan was not without its vigilance, but how should I put it, the people Bobo brought this time were able to protect his safety.
