Chapter 547 Daily Life

Li Chenjiao vaguely heard Aman's voice in her sleep, but to be precise, she was awakened by the sound of rain outside.

She sat up covered with a soft, thin blanket, which was just right for the season.

She folded the blanket aside. The rain outside was much louder than before. She called out to ask who was outside.

However, no one answered for a while, probably because the rain was too loud and they couldn't hear it.

She slipped on her shoes and got off the soft couch. She must have just woken up, because Li Chenjiao staggered for a moment. She stopped and walked out of the room after a couple of seconds.

She saw the Fourth Master and the Second Princess from afar when she reached the outer room. She was somewhat surprised to see the Fourth Master in the East Courtyard at this time.

She called out first, "Why are you here, Master?" She called out to Fourth Master, but her eyes were looking in the direction of Second Princess.

Upon hearing her voice, the little girl immediately stood up and ran towards her.

Li Chenjiao caught the little girl steadily, then took the Second Princess's hand and walked towards the Fourth Master: "It's raining so hard outside, did you get wet, Master?"

As she spoke, she looked Fourth Master up and down again, and after a moment she breathed a sigh of relief.

Seeing her so alarmed, the Fourth Prince couldn't help but chuckle: "I've been here for a while now."

His tone was casual, and he leaned back in a relaxed manner.

As the rain outside gradually intensified, the father and daughter moved from the porch into the house, where the little girl could be heard singing nursery rhymes only occasionally.

Li Chenjiao didn't apologize for neglecting the Fourth Master or feel embarrassed after hearing what he said; she simply went along with what he said.

"These maids are really something. They knew the master was coming, but they didn't even wake me up."

She only vaguely mentioned that they were maids, but did not specify which maid.

The Fourth Prince naturally understood her implied meaning, but he didn't press the matter. Perhaps out of consideration for the Second Princess's presence, he didn't say much, only remarking, "You've become quite fond of sleeping these days..."

He asked that question, then paused for half a second.

Li Chenjiao, however, was completely unaware of this. She smiled and agreed with Fourth Master's words: "Ah... Springtime is indeed more invigorating than usual."

The second princess looked left and right, and whispered, "Aman isn't sleepy at all."

Upon hearing this, Li Chenjiao couldn't help but laugh. When she looked up at Fourth Master, she saw that he was also unable to suppress a smile.

Sometimes, the Second Princess's liveliness is truly delightful.

As they were talking, the maids came in to ask if dinner could be served. Li Chenjiao looked at the Fourth Master, who nodded slightly. Li Chenjiao turned her head and nodded again.

Qiu Hu went out to give instructions, and the little girl, seeing this, tugged at the sleeve of her dear mother, Li Chenjiao.

Li Chenjiao understood what the little girl meant and patted her head: "Go on, it's time to eat, but don't go too far."

The little girl disappeared in the blink of an eye.

Li Chenjiao sat down next to the Fourth Master, and slowly pressed on his shoulder without saying a word.

Fourth Master turned his head to look at her: "What are you doing now?"

Li Chenjiao smiled ingratiatingly, her eyes sparkling: "Didn't I neglect you earlier because I was sleepy? Of course, I wouldn't dare to neglect you again now."

The atmosphere between the two of them unconsciously transformed into this relaxed and playful one.

Upon hearing this, Fourth Master snorted.

Li Chenjiao softened her grip and leaned closer to see the Fourth Master's expression: "Alright, next time I'll get up as soon as you come..."

To be honest, when the Fourth Master came, Li Chenjiao naturally had to serve him, but in reality, the Fourth Master exempted her from having the maids wake her up.

Li Chenjiao got tired after massaging for a while, but she naturally wouldn't say that she was tired: "Since Your Highness doesn't want me to serve you, then I'll go out and see how the dinner is being prepared."

As she spoke, she tried to stand up and walk outside, but as soon as she stood up, she felt dizzy and almost fell over.

Behind her was the Fourth Prince, and naturally she fell into his arms.

The moment Li Chenjiao fell, her first thought was that perhaps the time she encountered Niu Hulu slipping at noon that day wasn't intentionally planned.

Back then, Li Chenjiao thought it was a coincidence, but now she understands that sometimes people really do have moments when they can't stand firm.

When Li Chenjiao came to her senses, she was met with the Fourth Master's smiling eyes, and his warm arms pulled her close: "Aren't you leaving?"

Li Chenjiao exclaimed "Ah!" and suddenly felt that the atmosphere seemed a bit off, and the Fourth Master's attitude was also very strange.

She wasn't used to it, and as she crouched down to pull away from Fourth Master's embrace, she said, "With you here, how could I bear to leave..."

As she said this, she felt her teeth ache.

The Fourth Master was stunned for a second upon hearing this, and subconsciously scolded him with a stern face: "Smooth talker."

Li Chenjiao blinked, then pouted as if she was a little scared: "If you don't like me, then I won't say anything more."

Fourth Master looked at her without saying a word, but pulled her back when Li Chenjiao crouched down.

"Let's go have a meal."

Fourth Master only said this one sentence, then leisurely got up and went to the outer room with Li Chenjiao.

Seeing that Fourth Master's words didn't match his true feelings, Li Chenjiao secretly chuckled.

Sometimes it's quite amusing to say these kinds of things to tease the Fourth Prince, but you have to be careful not to go too far. You can only do it when the Fourth Prince is in a good mood.

However, given that Fourth Master had just come out of the main courtyard, his mood shouldn't be too good, right?

If he were truly in a good mood, he shouldn't have come to the East Courtyard. After all, if the Second Prince's health had really improved, the Fourth Prince should be by his side right now.
