With the prosperity of the Qing Dynasty, the lantern festival now features more and more items, and many of them are novel. Mingxiu looked on with curiosity. There were cute doll masks, and the pattern on the revolving lantern in front seemed to be the flying apsaras of Dunhuang, and something that looked Western, and then there was Chang'e.
"Wow!" Mingxiu exclaimed in surprise. "Is something this lively on a revolving lantern?"
He pulled Kangxi over and bought the revolving lantern.
"The capital city is getting better and better, and this lantern is so beautifully decorated." Mingxiu smiled as she looked at the exquisite and beautiful patterns on the lantern.
Kangxi nodded, turned around and looked at the sea of people behind him, the bright lights, and the smiles on everyone's faces. "Although I have never seen what the Tang Dynasty was like, I think the Qing Dynasty is no less impressive now."
Mingxiu glanced back and nodded in agreement. Indeed, putting aside everything else, at least the technology had improved a lot, and at least the basic living necessities, such as food, drink, and toileting, were things that Mingxiu really appreciated.

The flower-selling girl, seeing that the silver ingots Kangxi handed her were much more than usual, excitedly said auspicious words and then happily ran off, as if afraid that Kangxi would return.
Mingxiu and Kangxi were both amused and exasperated by the little girl's actions. They exchanged a glance and burst out laughing.
Fireworks exploded, and the sky was instantly filled with colorful lights, reflecting on the faces of Kangxi and Mingxiu. But their eyes were only fixed on each other's smiling, crescent-shaped eyes, a look that seemed to last a lifetime.
Kangxi looked at Mingxiu, put his arm around her waist and said, "Let's go, that bridge over there is a great place to see the scenery, let's go there to see the lantern festival."
"Okay, since we're going to see it, let's go to the best spot. This place is blocking the view; I can't see many places." Mingxiu said to Kangxi in a coquettish tone, their voices gradually fading into the crowd...
