Chapter 2 Namuzhong's Divide and Conspiracy

"who?"

"Yehenarajir, the head maidservant of Bumbutai, does she know all of his plans?" Namuzhong smiled again, this time with an eerie quality.

Hailanzhu immediately understood that Jill had been bribed by Namuzhong, but she still looked bewildered and said, "But she is ultimately someone from Bumbutai's side, how could she possibly help us wholeheartedly?"

Namuzhong shook her head slightly: "She is a kind person. She has long wanted to expose the evil deeds against her master, but she just lacked the opportunity."

"Is that so?" Hailanzhu drawled, thinking to herself: What kind of kind person is he? He's nothing but a treacherous lackey.

“That’s right,” Namuzhong said resolutely. “Don’t worry, I will take care of this. You just need to wait for the Emperor to come and say that you saw Bumbutai’s figure when you fell into the water.”

If it were the original owner of this body, she would probably have been led by the nose by Namuzhong's words, but the current Hailanzhu is as shrewd as Bi Gan, how could she be confused by a few words?

She agreed to the plan for the time being, but seeing Namuzhong's smug look, she felt somewhat resentful.

So she said, "But Bumbutai is my sister after all, and I really can't bear to do it. How about we just warn her? I'm sure she won't dare to do it again next time."

"What?" Namuzhong was initially shocked by Hailanzhu's sudden words, and then became anxious.

Watching her change three expressions in just a few seconds, a speed even faster than the face-changing act in Peking Opera, Hailanzhu almost burst out laughing.

"No, no, that won't do, then I'll be wasting my time..." Namuzhong almost let slip in her anxiety, but after regaining her senses, she instinctively covered her mouth.

Hailanzhu did not press Namuzhong for the unfinished question, but instead asked, "Is there something wrong with doing this?"

Namuzhong lowered her hand from her lips. "There are too many problems. Sister, you must know that old habits die hard. Bumbutai is ruthless. Even if you let her go this time, she will still try to kill you next time."

"No, I've watched Bumbutai grow up since she was a child. She's not a malicious person. Her attempt to harm me this time was probably just a momentary impulse..."

Namuzhong couldn't bear to listen anymore, but she couldn't yell at Hailanzhu. She could only try to interrupt calmly, saying, "Bumbutai is now twenty-four years old. She is no longer the thirteen-year-old she was when she entered the palace. Since you came, the Emperor has never favored her. She has long been blinded by jealousy. Sister, I hope you can recognize reality."

"Face reality?" Hailanzhu was stunned for a moment, then covered her face and burst into tears.

Unaware of the reason, Namuzhong naturally felt that her words had been appreciated and continued to add fuel to the fire, saying, "Sister, have you thought about your future? You will have children in the future. Perhaps you will have the Emperor's protection and be able to escape all kinds of traps, but what about your child? He is so young and has no power to resist. Do you really want to keep such a vicious person in the harem?"

"No, I cannot allow anyone to harm my child..." Hailanzhu shook her head frantically.

"If that's the case, then don't let her go!" Namuzhong said, raising her voice.

After a long while, Hailanzhu slowly raised her head, her eyes terribly red.

Namuzhong was a little intimidated by the sight and involuntarily took a step back.

Hailanzhu glanced at her and said gently, "You're right, we can't let her go."

Upon hearing this, Namuzhong breathed a sigh of relief. Seeing that her goal had been achieved, she decided not to linger any longer and made up an excuse to leave Guanju Palace.
