"I must win! For Mother, for you and the children!" Fourteen suddenly said firmly.
"Reporting to the General, a woman claiming to be your friend has arrived! She requests to see you!" someone suddenly announced from outside the house.
Fourteen glanced in surprise at the figure standing outside the door and replied, "Tell her to go to the study. Make sure she doesn't bring any weapons!"
14. Now, do not search anyone you meet, and do not allow anyone to carry weapons!
"I'll go see who it is!" Fourteenth stood up and patted Chen's hand.
After Fourteen left Chen's house, Chen, feeling as empty as a bag, slumped down in the spot where Fourteen had just been sitting.
"Consort!" the maid Xiaomei called out quickly, because she knew what was troubling Chen Shi!
"Xiaomei, what should I do! What should I do! That man is notoriously ruthless and cruel. If Father falls into his hands, I'm afraid even the Prince can't save him!" Madam Chen said tearfully.
