Chapter 2589 Ninth Master Out of Control

"To go with him to his execution?" Ninth Prince looked at Ninth Princess in shock, never imagining that one day she would say such a thing.

Perhaps her words surprised him too much, for Ninth Master was speechless for a long time.

The Ninth Prince's wife's words were not pleasant to hear, but rather quite harsh. He pursed his thin lips and couldn't utter a word for a long time. The Ninth Prince's wife then spoke to provoke him, "Anyway, our current situation is just like this. I have no other requests. I only want the Ninth Prince to grant me a letter of divorce, and I will be content."

Ninth Master suddenly stood up. His movement was so abrupt that his elbow hit the table, causing the teacup on the table to wobble.

"You...you should calm down first. You should think this over carefully!" After he finished speaking, he saw that Ninth Princess Consort opened her mouth, so he quickly turned around and left the room.

The figure seemed to be fleeing in panic, staggering out of the courtyard and letting out a long breath.

Returning to his room from Ninth Prince's wife's courtyard, Ninth Prince thought all the way. He knew that she had never really liked him since she married him.

She knew he frequently went out to indulge in debauchery and frequent prostitutes, but she chose to remain silent and indifferent.

But now that Consort Yi is mentioned, she actually made such a request to him—to divorce her? Is she trying to sever all ties before things go wrong?

Back in his room, the servant saw that he looked dejected and lost, as if he had suffered a great shock, so he cautiously called out, "Master."

"Bring the wine!" Ninth Master said sternly.

The servant was startled and quickly ran out to bring back a whole pot of wine.

Ninth Master drank one glass of wine after another, his mind filled with memories of their long and awkward relationship.

The initial fluttering feeling upon first meeting gradually faded away as they spent time together.

These images flashed through his mind, and he couldn't control himself. He smashed his wine glass and stormed out the door.

The servant who was serving him was unaware of what was going on, but he absolutely dared not follow him. He only saw him walking quickly towards the Ninth Prince's courtyard.

Ninth Princess was startled to see a figure rapidly approaching her through the doorway. It was Ninth Prince, his eyes fierce. He rushed forward, step by step closing in on her. Ninth Princess retreated little by little until she reached the corner of the table, where she had nowhere left to go, and braced her hands on the edge of the table.

"Ninth Master, you..."

She had barely uttered a few words when she felt a sharp pain in her arm. Ninth Master had grabbed her arm with tremendous force, pulling so hard it hurt her.

"I'm asking you, why are you treating me like this?" He reeked of alcohol, hovering around Ninth Princess Consort, leaving her somewhat at a loss.

Ninth Princess's heart pounded, enveloped by his fiery gaze. "I... how have I treated you?"

"Why are you so cold to me? Why don't you treat me the same way you did when we first met? Have you changed?" His brows were furrowed, and his eyes were even a little red. Ninth Princess thought she was seeing things.

Ninth Master continued, "Do you remember the first time we met? How innocent and adorable you were then, how content you were when you were with me! I want you to be like you were back then!"

Ninth Prince's wife forced herself to calm down and found that he was still holding her hand. She tried to shake him off, but couldn't. She said coldly, "You're drunk. Someone, prepare some hangover soup for Ninth Prince."

"I don't need hangover soup, I'm not drunk, I just want your answer!"
