Chapter 2735 Tracking

In a secluded alley, a horse-drawn carriage sped away.

A coachman sat in front of the carriage, diligently steer the course while occasionally paying attention to his surroundings.

Six women were sitting inside the carriage, three of whom were the female assassins who had just been tied to the wooden stake. The three female assassins did not seem to have recovered from their panic, and their bodies were trembling.

A woman in red took off her own clothes and hugged the woman who was crying the hardest, comforting her, "It's alright! It's alright... You're saved..."

The other two women quickly took off their clothes and wrapped them around the barely clothed female assassin. The six of them huddled together, trying to warm the three female assassins with their body heat.

"Don't cry, it's all over now..." The woman in red comforted the three of them with heartache, but seeing their battered and bruised appearance, she didn't know what to say.

She said indignantly, "What a dog emperor! How could he treat you so cruelly! If we hadn't saved you in time, you would have..." The woman in red was too excited to speak. She reached out to touch the scars on the female assassin's face, but just as she was about to touch her, the female assassin sneered and dodged away in panic.

The lead female assassin finally calmed down, looked up gratefully at the woman in red, and said guiltily, "We...we failed, the sect leader..."

The woman in red gratefully covered her mouth, her eyes reddening as she said, "The sect leader knows you've done your best. If it weren't for the emperor's incredible luck and someone risking their life to save you, you wouldn't have met such a tragic end..."

The lead female assassin lamented, "We went into action prepared to die, but unfortunately the dog emperor wasn't killed. We only managed to stab one of his concubines. We have failed our leader's orders and have no face to face him..."

The two female assassins beside him burst into tears, crying in despair, "I'd rather die than be stripped and executed in public..."

"I thought we were dead just now, but I didn't expect the sister in red to come and save us..."

The woman in red gripped the three women's hands tightly, fighting back tears as she said, "It's the sect leader. She has never given up on you. Ever since the incident, she has been trying to rescue you..."

The three female assassins looked at each other and then embraced and wept bitterly.

"We have failed our leader..."

"We failed our mission and now we need the leader's help..."

The woman in red hugged the three of them, comforting them, "It's alright, it's alright... As long as you're safe, the leader is at ease..."

The woman in red said to the three men, "These are my two trusted confidants. The leader has ordered the three of us to escort you back. Rest assured and recover from your injuries. We will await the leader's instructions..."

The three female assassins nodded, moved.

The carriage headed towards Xizhimen, unaware that a tail was following behind it.

The fourth master of the restaurant put down his teacup. There was a noise on the stairs. The fourth master turned his head and saw the thirteenth master rushing over.

"Fourth Brother, the person has escaped..." Thirteenth Master said anxiously. Fourth Brother nodded with a smile. Thirteenth Master stamped his foot: "Such a good opportunity, why didn't Fourth Brother give the order sooner? Let the person we had in our grasp escape..."

The Fourth Prince laughed and said, "I did it on purpose!"

Thirteenth Prince was taken aback: "Deliberately?"

Looking at the mess on the execution ground, the Fourth Prince slowly said, "I want to arrest more than just these accomplices; I want to wipe them all out in one fell swoop to prevent future troubles..."

Thirteenth Master suddenly realized, "Could it be that Fourth Brother had already laid an ambush?"

The Fourth Prince said, "The Seventeenth Prince is currently tracking their whereabouts. I lowered my guard and allowed them to escape. Only in this way can we find out where their hideout is..."

It turned out that the tail following the carriage was none other than the Seventeenth Prince and his guards. They had been quietly following the carriage, and had left Beijing through Xizhimen.
