After several days of deliberation, Xueying finally made a decision.
Xueying walked to a chair in the room and sat down: "Aluo, go and call Zuying and Rachel. I have something to tell you."
A'Luo was overjoyed. These past few days, the concubine had been sullen and unwilling to speak, but today she had finally let go of her worries. How could A'Luo not be happy?
A'Luo immediately said, "This servant will go right away."
Zuying and Rachel were embroidering in the room. Xueying had taught them how to embroider mandarin ducks before, and they hoped to show them to Xueying when they finished, so that she would be happy.
A Luo walked into the room, took the embroidery from the two people, and placed it on the table next to her.
Then he pulled the two of them up and said anxiously, "Come with me quickly."
Zu Ying was startled by her actions. She pulled her arm away from A Luo's grasp and asked, "A Luo, what are you doing?"
Rachel asked in confusion, "Yes, Ara, what happened to make you so flustered?"
"The concubine sent me to find you. It seems she has thought things through."
"Really? That's great!" Zu Ying exclaimed excitedly, jumping up and down on the ground.
Rachel remained silent, seemingly lost in thought.
Aro grabbed their hands again: "So come with me quickly."
Aro pulled the two or three of them and the three of them ran quickly back to Xueying's house.
Upon seeing Xueying, Zuying couldn't wait to say, "Consort, Sister A'luo said you were looking for us. You're finally willing to talk to us! This servant is so happy."
Rachel wasn't as excited as Zuying, but she was still happy: "Consort, are you alright?"
Xueying nodded, then pointed to the chairs next to her: "Please sit down."
“This…” The three looked at each other in bewilderment. A’Luo stepped forward and said, “Consort, this is probably not in accordance with the rules. How can we servants sit with our masters?”
Xueying stood up, took A'luo's hand, and led her to a chair. This startled A'luo, who quickly stood up, saying, "Consort, this is..."
Xueying pressed her down into a chair: "Sit down."
Seeing Xueying's serious expression, A'luo knew she was serious, so she could only sit down in the chair.
Seeing A Luo's restless state, Xueying couldn't help but smile wryly. She then pressed Rachel back into the chair and instructed Zuying to guard the door and prevent anyone from approaching.
"I called you here today to tell you that I have made my decision."
Rachel was afraid that Xueying would blame her for suggesting poisoning Hongli, so she stood up before Xueying could finish speaking and said, "Please forgive me, Consort. I shouldn't have said that I wanted to poison the Prince. Please punish me, Consort."
A'luo and Zuying echoed her sentiments, with A'luo adding, "That was just something I said in a fit of anger, Consort, please don't take it to heart."
Xueying gestured for them to sit down: "I won't mind anymore, because I know you did all this for my sake. I've reflected on myself these past few days, and I realize that my previous thoughts were indeed wrong."
Upon hearing this, A'luo hurriedly spoke up, "Consort, we are merely maids. We dare not act rashly without your permission. Therefore, the decision of what to do ultimately rests with you..."
Xueying raised her hand: "Let me finish speaking first."
Xueying took a deep breath, then exhaled, and said firmly, "I've made up my mind. I'm going to poison Prince Bei."
Aro and Rachel exchanged a glance, neither of them speaking, choosing to continue listening to Xueying.
