These past few days, Xueying has been in the palace, and Su Shi has been bored staying at home, wondering why Gao Shi hasn't come to visit her. Thinking about it carefully, Gao Shi had warned her not to get too close to the concubine, but she hadn't listened. It seems Gao Shi found out she went to see Xueying, and is therefore angry and doesn't want to see her.

Xiao Mu arrived at Gao's Langyue Pavilion and conveyed Su's message to Gao.
Hearing that Su was thinking of her, Gao was secretly pleased. She had assumed that Su had gotten together with Xueying and completely forgotten about her. However, she still felt a little uncomfortable, so she asked Xiao Mu, "Has your princess gone to see the concubine these past few days?"
Xiao Mu was Su's personal maid, so she would definitely know everything Su did.
"Your Highness, my lady hasn't visited the concubine these past few days. She's been saying every day that you haven't visited her for so long." Xiao Mu knew that the conflict between Madam Gao and his wife these past few days was because of the concubine, so he didn't dare say that Madam Su had visited Xueying.

Madam Su invited Madam Gao to sit down. After they were both seated, Madam Su asked, "Xi Yue, why haven't you come to see your sister these past few days? Your sister misses you so much!" Seeing the familiar face, Madam Su couldn't help but complain that Madam Gao hadn't come to see her for so long.
Although Gao was happy inside, she still spoke firmly, "I thought I was superfluous now and was afraid of disturbing your pregnancy, so I didn't come."
Su was puzzled. Gao's tone was clearly displeased. Had she done something wrong? "Xiyue, why are you unhappy? Did your sister do something wrong? Please tell me." If she really had done something wrong, she would definitely correct it.
Gao hesitated, reluctant to speak, while Su's eyes welled with tears, on the verge of falling. Gao then took Su's hand and revealed the reason. "My dear sister, I've already warned you to stay away from the concubine. You clearly know the relationship between the principal wife and the concubine, yet you still went to see her. Aren't you just asking for trouble?"
Lady Su realized that Lady Gao was worried about her being hurt. It turned out that the reason she hadn't come to see her for so long was because she was angry that Lady Gao was getting too close to the concubine.
“Xiyue, don’t worry about me. Consort Xueying is a good person. She’s not as bad as you think. If you get to know her, you’ll definitely like her too.” Madam Su also tried to get Madam Gao to like Xueying.
Hearing Su's words, Gao completely disregarded what she had said and angrily shook off Su's hand.
"How can you be so naive? You can't see into someone's heart. Can you really tell what kind of person the concubine is? I'm doing this for your own good, why can't you listen?" Thinking of this concubine, Gao felt angry.
