Chapter 810 Blind Liang

"Hurry up and get the antidote! She's in so much pain. Is your heart made of iron or ice?" Fourteenth Master roared angrily. He had indeed come to question Fourth Master on behalf of Eighth and Ninth Masters, but now, seeing Lanqin nestled in Fourth Master's arms, her brows furrowed in pain, and feeling helpless, he could only shout at Fourth Master.

Fourth Master roared at Su Peisheng, "What are you still standing there for? I told you to kick him out, kick him out!"

Seeing the two brothers arguing so fiercely, Su Peisheng didn't know what to do. He could only walk up to the Fourteenth Prince and say with a bitter face, "Fourteenth Prince, you have truly wronged our master! How could our master bear to poison his concubine? You should..."

"Why do you need to explain to him? Just kick him out." At this moment, the Fourth Prince wished he could shoot out a thousand ice swords to freeze the Fourteenth Prince.

"He's always been a ruthless person. He can be extremely cold-hearted even to his own mother, let alone a concubine. I'm afraid he poisoned the concubine just to cover things up." Fourteenth's thought process started to become incredibly bizarre.

Lanqin couldn't bear to listen any longer. She endured the sharp pain in her abdomen and said, "Fourteenth, in your eyes, is your own brother such a shameless and hateful person? Who told you to come here and shout? You haven't even figured things out yet, and you're already spouting nonsense. Utterly foolish!!"

Faced with Lanqin's accusations, Fourteenth Prince was momentarily stunned. He was cursing Fourth Prince in his heart, but deep down he was very worried about Lanqin. He just couldn't show his concern for her in front of Fourth Prince; she probably already knew.

Just then, Cui Niang suddenly stumbled in and rushed in, reporting to the Fourth Master, "Your Majesty, I went to check on the hangover soup, the hangover soup..."

Fourth Master, already annoyed by Fourteen's teasing, saw Cui Niang stammering and shouted sharply, "What's wrong with the hangover soup?"

Startled by his shout, Cui Niang turned pale and could only grit her teeth and say, "The hangover soup was inexplicably poured out. Only that empty jar is left. But there was clearly half left."

Hearing this, Lanqin felt a chill in her heart. If the hangover soup was gone, how could Doctor Liang determine what kind of poison they had been given? If they couldn't find out in time, would they just continue to suffer in pain, or even die from the poison?

"Damn it!! How dare someone do such underhanded things right under my nose! If I find out who did this, I will not let them off lightly!" A surge of anger quickly gathered between the Fourth Master's brows, a sight that even Lanqin found somewhat frightening.

Fourteen was startled when Lanqin said those words and then heard what Cui Niang said: when he came over just now, he seemed to have seen a figure run out of the tent.

"Cui Niang, is that jar in the main tent?" Fourteen asked.

Cui Niang had no idea how fierce the argument between the Fourth Prince and the Fourteenth Prince had just broken out. When he asked her this, she naturally replied, "Yes, I was afraid that it would get cold quickly if I left it outside, so I specially put it in the tent. But when I checked just now, the jar was half full, but now there's not a drop left. Someone must have deliberately poured it out."

Fourth Master's brows furrowed even more. He was now almost certain that the problem lay with the hangover soup. Someone must have secretly added some kind of poison to the soup when no one was looking.

"When I came over just now, I think I saw someone run out of the main tent," Fourteen couldn't help but say.

Fourth Master suddenly looked up and stared at Fourth Master. Even Lanqin struggled to open her eyes. Then they almost said in unison, "Who?"

Fourteen tried hard to recall that figure, wanting to remember it, but couldn't for the moment.

"Fourteen, think about it slowly. Who is that person?" Lanqin said quickly when she saw Fourteen frowning.

"She was dressed as a servant girl; I really can't remember who she is!" Fourteen said dejectedly.

"Don't you have any distinguishing features at all?" Lanqin asked, enduring the excruciating pain.

"The woman walked in a strange way, as if she had some problem with her legs, and her way of walking was slightly odd."

The Fourth Prince's eyes sharpened, and he said in a deep voice, "This is not difficult. Just find the maid with the problem in her leg."

Just then, someone came to report that Eighth Master and Ninth Master wanted to go back, saying that there was no medicine or doctor here, and that they should hurry back!

Fourth Master's eyes darkened, and he said to Su Peisheng, "Quickly send men to guard the tents of Third Brother, Eighth Brother, Ninth Brother, and Tenth Brother. Don't let them leave even a step, understand? Tell them that the doctor is on his way and to keep them calm!"

Fourteen was shocked and exclaimed, "Are you going to put them under house arrest?"

The Fourth Prince's face was so dark it was almost icy: "No one is allowed to leave until the matter is cleared up! Fourteenth Prince, you and Seventh Prince go and check all the servants here, make sure you don't miss a single one."

Lanqin opened her eyes with difficulty and said to Fourteenth Prince, "Fourteenth Prince, you don't want Consort De to be sad, right? If something happens to the Prince, Mother will still be blamed by Father!"

Fourteen nodded and went out to find Seventh Master.

Suddenly, the outside was filled with noise, and the lively and joyful atmosphere instantly turned into one of panic, anxiety, and depression.

A moment later, Thirteen arrived with Blind Liang and his two apprentices.

Upon entering the Fourth Master's tent, before even bowing to the Fourth Master and Lanqin, the Fourth Master immediately shouted, "Come and see her!"

Blind Liang didn't waste any time; he had already heard Thirteen's account of what had happened on the way.

"Please step aside, Your Highness. This servant needs to examine the concubine," said Blind Liang respectfully.

Fourth Master's pupils contracted slightly for a moment, but when he noticed Lanqin tugging at his hand, he held back and reluctantly stepped aside.

Fourth Master had several maids line up in front of the bed to act as human screens. There were Thirteenth Master and Su Peisheng in the tent, weren't they? Our Fourth Master had already used up his breath by letting Blind Liang see Lanqin's tongue. How could he let other men see it too?

Blind Liang walked to Lanqin's bedside and first took out an instrument from his medicine box to examine her throat.

Lanqin knew he wanted to examine her tongue, so she obediently opened her mouth. Blind Liang examined it carefully and then asked, "What did the concubine eat that caused her stomach pain?"

Lanqin said, "Our hangover soup has probably been tampered with."

Blind Liang asked, "Where's the hangover soup?"

Lanqin said with difficulty, "It's been thrown away again."

Blind Liang was taken aback, and could only say, "We might find a tiny bit, just a tiny bit is enough to do a test."

Cui Niang couldn't help but say, "Yes, I can see that the jar still has some sediment at the bottom."
