Son of Light 18

Son of Light 18

Luli stood in front of the Dean's room at Sirland College, his long silver hair gently rippling in the breeze, a hint of nervousness in his blue eyes. He looked down at the letter of recommendation in his hand—the last gift from his mentor, Singla.

The principal's kind voice vaguely appeared in my ears. It turned out that Singela was not missing, but why did the tutor refuse to meet him?

Luli's blue eyes dimmed slightly. Was it because I didn't do well enough?

After calming down, Luli walked towards the dormitory. The teaching style of the holy land of Sirland was rigorous and the competition was fierce. It placed the utmost emphasis on strength. All the recommended students were the best in their respective ethnic groups or families. When Luli mixed in with this group of people, the reputation of the Son of Light became insignificant.

Since the academy prohibits servants and guards from entering, Theodore could not follow in. Luli breathed a sigh of relief when he was no longer surrounded by compliments. The four years of academy life had brought Luli a great sense of novelty. After asking the dormitory teacher for the room key and dormitory supplies, Luli took the key and walked towards the room marked 032.

The room was rather plain, a standard double room, but it had all the necessary facilities. Luli had spent a long time in the most difficult Abyss Expedition Team, so he did not show any discomfort with the dormitory environment. He made his bed calmly, took out a pot of flowers from the storage space and placed it on the desk. The white flowers emitted a misty white light. Looking at him, a hint of tenderness flashed in Luli's eyes.

Mentor Singela always likes to collect rare and famous flowers from all over the continent to decorate his tower beautifully and dreamily. The flower in front of him is the flower Luli brought out from the magic tower. It can be regarded as a souvenir. He hopes that the mentor will not mind him picking his most beloved flower after knowing it.

"Are you the new roommate?" A loud voice came from behind. Lu Li was startled and then looked behind him.

A tall man with blond hair and red eyes was leaning against the door frame, a playful smile on his face. He was muscular and wore a loose black robe with the collar casually open, revealing his muscular chest.

"Hello, I'm Luli." He nodded slightly, his tone cold.

"Xin," the man strode over and ruffled Luli's hair, "I'll be your roommate from now on, little antique."

Luli frowned and dodged his hand: "Please don't touch me casually."

Xin raised his eyebrows and smiled even more wantonly: "Oh, you're still a little antique with mysophobia."

Luli frowned secretly as he looked at him. Although there was a large-scale magic barrier in the academy, which was enough to affect his detection, it was not so severe that he would not know there was someone behind him until the person walked behind him and made a sound.

I was careless. This person is definitely not simple. Luli subconsciously became alert.

He watched the man casually sit down on his bed, his long legs casually crossed, and immediately frowned and scolded him, "Sit still."

The man didn't even look at him, turned around and lay down on the bed, fell asleep without taking off his clothes.

Luli: ...

Looking at the man who fell asleep in seconds in astonishment, Luli didn't know whether to put on a speechless expression or to suppress his mysophobia and wake him up to at least take off his muddy shoes before lying down to sleep.

Looking at the mud marks on the ground, Luli's forehead twitched slightly. After wiping the mud marks, Luli walked forward and looked at the man who was soundly sleeping, and was about to wake him up. However, when he saw the thick dark circles under his eyes, he gave up and disappeared. He didn't know where he went and was in a mess. Only then did Luli realize that his new roommate's clothes were dirty and messy, and there were a few small cuts on his face. It seemed that he had experienced a fight on the way here.

When Luli thought about being roommates with this man for four years, she felt tired from the bottom of her heart. Is it too late to change dormitories now?

In a magic theory class, the professor was explaining the advanced applications of light magic. Luli sat in the front row, diligently taking notes, his long silver hair falling from his shoulders, shimmering in the sunlight.

Xin sat in the back row, propping up his chin lazily, but his eyes were fixed on Luli. He folded a paper crane and used magic to make it fly to Luli's desk.

Luli looked down at the paper crane. Written crookedly on it was the words, "Little Antique, let's go eat together after class?"

He crumpled the paper crane into a ball with an expressionless face and threw it aside.

Xin couldn't help but laugh, earning him a glare from the professor.

After class, Luli walked alone to the college garden. As soon as he sat down, a crisp voice interrupted his thoughts.

"Are you Luli?"

He looked up and saw an elf girl in a green dress standing before him. Her hair was like a golden waterfall, and her eyes were the emerald green of the forest.

"I'm Philomena Kermans, the princess of the elves." She smiled slightly. "I heard that you're the best student in this class. I'd like to make friends with you."

Luli closed the book and nodded politely: "Hello."

"Don't be so cold," Philomena sat down opposite him. "Xin said you were a little antique, and it seems he was right."

Luli's brows furrowed slightly: "Xin?"

"Yes," Philomena blinked, "He said you were very interesting and asked me to come and meet you."

Luli sighed helplessly. This Xin was spreading his story everywhere again.

A year has passed since Luli started school. During this year, he has been trying hard to absorb a huge amount of new knowledge while dealing with Xin's persistence. He doesn't know what's wrong with this guy. He insists on sticking to him like a dog-skin plaster and can't be driven away.

During this year, Luli challenged him to a duel. After winning, he asked the man to stay away from him. The man readily agreed, but he didn't win. Luli gritted his teeth and his face turned slightly dark. Luli put on a cold and indifferent expression towards him, but the man still followed him around with a hippie smile every day. They ate together, attended classes together, and even slept... in the same dormitory. Luli even knocked down the man who had secretly climbed into his bed in the middle of the night, but it was of no avail.

Moreover, because they often heard voices in the middle of the night, their classmates once misunderstood that they were a couple. Some even ran up to Luli with red eyes and said loudly, "I won't give up, so when you break up with Xin, please consider me, okay?"

Luli: ...

"Hahahaha, are you talking about that?" Philomena laughed, glanced at the dark-faced Luli teasingly, and joked, "Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if you two really got together one day. After all, we all saw how much Xin liked you."

Luli: ...
