Chapter 10 My Wife is a Vixen 10

Chapter 10 My Wife is a Vixen 10

“I don’t understand what you’re saying.” Shu Zhuang frowned. “My mother cried because my father went mad. They said it was caused by a monster. Before my father, there were a few other people in the village who also went mad.”

Blind man: "Oh? Gone mad? Not seduced by someone else?"

“I’m a blind man and I love to meddle in other people’s business. Take me back to see your father.”

Shu Zhuang looked at his tattered clothes: "My mother won't let me bring a beggar back."

“I’m not a beggar, I’m an exorcist. If there really are monsters in your village, I can exorcise them. Maybe I can even cure your father’s madness.”

Without hesitation, Shuzhuang tried to pull him home.

"Don't pull me, just walk ahead, I can follow behind you."

After taking a few steps forward, Shu Zhuang turned back and discovered that the blind man could indeed walk on his own.

Before they even arrived, the two encountered a madman. The man was filthy, his hair was a mess, and he was chewing something in his mouth.

As the two passed each other, the blind man stopped, turned his head, and then quickly went back to grab the madman.

Shu Zhuang stopped and saw the blind man grabbing the madman and groping him all over.

The madman was startled by the blind man and kept shouting.

"Is your father like him?" the blind man asked.

Shu Zhuang nodded: "Anyway, they're all crazy, but my dad is cleaner than him."

"His three souls and seven spirits were injured by demonic energy, which is why he became like this. If your father is like him, then he was definitely harmed by a demon."

The blind man released the man.

He took a sip from the gourd at his waist and said, "There really is a demon in your village. It looks like we can't leave."

When he got home, Shuzhuang's mother thought he had brought back a beggar and started cursing him in the yard.

She grabbed his ear and yelled, "You think the house isn't messy enough already?!"

"Mother, it hurts!"

"This is to teach you a lesson!"

"You should leave. We don't have any surplus food either. Go and look for other people's houses." Shuzhuang's mother's tone was somewhat unpleasant.

The blind man looked at the bound man, stepped forward, and placed his index and middle fingers together on the man's neck.

"What are you doing?" Shuzhuang's mother asked anxiously.

"Mother, he's an exorcist!" Shuzhuang hugged his mother's hand: "There really are monsters in our village."

"He just encountered another madman, who said his soul was damaged by demonic energy."

"I brought him back so that he could be seen by my father."

Shuzhuang's mother looked somewhat suspicious, but she simply watched the blind man's actions without stopping him.

The blind man lowered his hand: "It's the same, both of them had their three souls and seven spirits damaged by demonic energy."

"Really?" Upon hearing this, Shuzhuang's mother immediately grabbed her son, stepped forward, and pressed him to the ground: "Kneel down."

"Master, save him, save my man."

“He is the pillar of our family. After people found out that my husband had gone mad, people would come knocking on the door every night, just because they saw that we were an orphan and a widow with no one to protect us.”

Shuzhuang's mother cried bitterly.

The blind man accepted the bow and said, "Get up first. If you want to save your husband, you can only catch that demon. Get up and talk to me properly."

"That demon?" Shuzhuang's mother said, recalling what Gou Dan had said that day. "It must be Ji Huaizhi's wife."

“Nothing like this has ever happened in the village before, except after she came, and on the day my husband had the accident, which was not far from their land.”

Shuzhuang's mother cursed a few times, but the blind man interrupted her: "Tell me about that man's background."

"Ji Huaizhi is the teacher in our village. One day he suddenly said he was getting married. His wife appeared out of nowhere, saying that she had come from a refugee camp and used to be a maid in a wealthy family."

"But his wife is extremely beautiful. How could such a beautiful woman, fleeing alone to this place, not have anyone coveted her along the way?"

Shuzhuang's mother gritted her teeth, and after finishing her story, she felt terrified.

"It must be her. Our village used to be so peaceful."

After listening, the blind man stroked his beard and said, "Judging from what you've said, it's probably pretty close to the truth."

"Don't make a fuss about this yet. I still don't know the extent of the fairy's magic. We must take her down when she's not paying attention!"

Shuzhuang's mother nodded and immediately warned her son not to tell anyone else that he wanted to save his father.

"What kind of person is Ji Huaizhi?" the blind man pondered. "Could we ask him to lend us a hand?"

"He's a timid and frail man, terrified of death. If he knew his wife was a demon, he'd probably be more afraid than anyone else." After saying this, Shuzhuang's mother thought back to that day and suddenly became uncertain:

“But that day someone spoke ill of his wife in front of him, and he lost his temper and hit the person.”

"I'm really not sure what to do."

The blind man nodded: "I understand. I'll go and test it out tomorrow."

"Let's also check if he has any demonic aura. If his wife is really a demon, he will naturally have demonic aura when they are in the same room together."

Shuzhuang's mother said a few more words of flattery.

"Call the person in charge of your village here. This matter should also be discussed with other families, but make sure the monster doesn't find out."

"Oh~!" Just as he was about to leave, he suddenly turned back: "Master, I suddenly remembered that someone said that the Ji family's wife is pregnant."

"Ji Huaizhi even bought chickens, saying they were for her to nourish her body."

"Can humans and demons really have children? Wouldn't that be a terrible sin?"

Upon hearing this, the blind man suddenly smiled and said, "That's not a calamity. A child born from a human and a demon is called a half-demon."

"As the name suggests, a half-demon is someone who is half human and half demon."

"Isn't that a terrible thing?" Shuzhuang's mother felt a chill run down her spine. "How disgusting!"

"Never mind, I'll go find someone first." With that, he jogged out to tell others the news.

The blind man's smile grew increasingly eerie: "A half-demon is a good thing. If you get the mother's demon core, it's a great tonic."

After saying that, he touched his eyes, saying that he would soon be able to see the light of day again.

Ji Huaizhi pulled out a chessboard from somewhere, and the two started playing Gomoku in the courtyard.

A-Yuan felt that this period had been the happiest time of her life. Her husband could spend every day with her, and she didn't need to go to class. With the things her sister sent, neither of them felt any pressure.

If we run out, I'll send a message to my sister and ask her to send some more.

Hmmm, how should I prepare the fragrant little chicks tomorrow?

My husband seems to have mentioned that Sichuan-style chicken with saliva is delicious.

What kind of delicious chicken makes your mouth water after eating it?

Seeing her ears start twitching rapidly again and her tail wagging incessantly, Ji Huaizhi knew that she had other ideas on her mind.

"what's on your mind?"

"Saliva chicken." She placed the white piece in her hand on the chessboard, realized what she was thinking, and looked up at her husband.

Seeing his light laugh, A Yuan couldn't help but blush, and she stuck out her belly: "It's because the baby wants to eat."

“In that case, I’ll make it for you tomorrow.” Ji Huaizhi put down the black pieces, and before A Yuan could react, he started collecting them.

Looking around, the board is mostly filled with white pieces.

And Ah Yuan didn't have much left either.

"You won again?"

"It seems the housework will be hard on you, my wife." Ji Huaizhi cupped his hands in greeting.

"No big deal." She finished the job with a single spell.
