Chapter 9 My Wife is a Vixen 9
But he couldn't see the master's wife at all.
Whether you climb the wall or hide behind the door, you can't see anything.
I used to see it often; the husband's wife would bring him water or mung bean soup. Everyone said that the husband's wife was the most beautiful woman in the world.
That day, he caught a long snake and wanted to put it in the master's house so that the snake would bite the monster to death.
But to my surprise, the snake didn't even try to crawl into the yard.
Afraid of being bitten and afraid of being discovered, he was so anxious that sweat was dripping down his face.
Ji Huaizhi suddenly opened the door, startling Shu Zhuang so much that his hand trembled. The snake turned around and bit Shu Zhuang's hand.
The pain made him immediately release his grip, and the snake slithered quickly into the jungle.
Shu Zhuang cried out in alarm, clutching his hands in panic.
"Snake...snake..." The children in the countryside were brave, and the adults scared them by saying that these snakes were poisonous and that if they were bitten, they would die from poisoning.
Shu Zhuang looked at the man in a panic and pleaded for help: "Sir, my hand has been bitten by a worm."
Ji Huaizhi looked at him coldly: "You want to put that snake into my yard?"
"Sir..." Shu Zhuang glanced at the beautiful figure behind the man: "She is a demon, why would you marry a demon?"
"She killed my father! I must avenge him!"
Ji Huaizhi: "What evidence do you have? You've wasted all the knowledge I've taught you."
"You believe everything you hear. If my wife were truly evil, why were so many children at the school unharmed before? You all came to class every day; why didn't she eat you all?"
Shu Zhuang was speechless for a moment, he just kept muttering "monster" under his breath.
"Sometimes humans are more terrifying than demons. I often say that in this vast world, good and evil can be separated in an instant."
Can you guarantee that the person who's with you every day is a good person?
"But are the things others say really bad?"
This was the first time Shuzhuang had ever seen the gentleman so angry.
Looking at the corner of her husband's clothes and hearing the wooden door close, she couldn't help but cry.
She cried because she was bitten by a snake, and she also cried because her husband criticized her like that.
A-Yuan looked at her husband pitifully with her round eyes, while the crying of the child outside the door was quite obvious: "Husband."
"I don't like some of the people in the village..."
"It's nothing, no need to deal with them."
Hearing her husband's words, A Yuan breathed a sigh of relief. When she had talked to her husband before, he had advised her to humble herself and get along well with the people in the village.
Neither of them has any elders in their families, so they will have to rely on the villagers for many things in the future.
But she felt that the villagers' gazes were really filthy.
He would also occasionally utter a couple of disgusting, lewd remarks.
She only gets along with a few women; most people look down on her or openly or secretly belittle her.
She was very distressed by these things, but when she told her husband, he just said that she was overthinking things and had a prejudice against them.
Ji Huaizhi knew exactly what she was thinking.
The original owner knew this all too well.
Alone in the village, I had long understood the coldness and warmth of human relationships, but my body was too weak to do anything, and I couldn't do anything to live in this village.
So I could only pretend to be stupid and try to keep her from going out too much.
"Husband, now they all call me a demon, aren't you afraid?" A-Yuan held the man's arms with both hands.
I stared intently at his face.
“We’ve lived together for so long, do you think I don’t know whether you’re a demon or not?” Ji Huaizhi stroked her face: “If you really are a demon, then you must be a fox spirit.”
A-Yuan was stunned. If it weren't for the smile in the man's eyes, she would have thought he knew.
"My husband."
"Because everyone says that only fox spirits can be so beautiful."
What if I really were a vixen?
“Then I am the fox spirit’s husband.”
A-Yuan couldn't help but laugh: "Then the villagers will kick us out."
Laughing, A-Yuan leaned on Ji Huaizhi's shoulder: "Husband, if one day we can no longer stay in the village, would you be willing to come to my house?"
"Your home?" Ji Huaizhi raised an eyebrow. "Didn't you say you were homeless?"
A-Yuan's eyes darted around: "I still have my sister, and my sister has a family."
"Wasn't your sister promoted to concubine?" Ji Huaizhi teased her.
"No, I have other sisters." The more you say, the more mistakes you make; one lie leads to countless others to cover it up.
A-Yuan was speechless, trying to figure out how to explain.
Ji Huaizhi simply smiled and said, "Actually, as long as I'm with A Yuan, I don't care where I am, whether it's the ends of the earth or living in seclusion in the mountains, as long as our family is together."
A-Yuan looked at the man and suddenly smiled brightly: "Husband, you are so good."
"If I have the chance, I will definitely take you to visit my hometown."

Shu Zhuang ran away crying, his right hand still clutching his other hand.
I bumped into someone without noticing.
"Hey kid, why aren't you watching where you're going? You almost knocked me, a blind man, flying."
Shu Zhuang: "I'm sorry, I need to find a doctor. I've been bitten by a snake and I'm going to die from the poison."
After hearing this, the blind man tilted his head, stroked his beard, and raised his hand: "Help me up and I'll take a look at you. I can treat snake venom."
After hearing this, Shu Zhuang pulled him up and held up his hand to show him, only to find that his eyes were tightly closed and he couldn't see at all: "I'd better go find a doctor."
The blind man grabbed him, took his pulse, and then squeezed his hands.
When the spot where he had been bitten was pinched, Shuzhuang cried out, "Ouch!"
The blind man knew where it was, took out his gourd, took a sip of the wine inside, and then sprayed it directly onto the tree stump's hand.
Shu Zhuang's expression of disgust was almost ferocious.
"Little one, you're lucky. That snake wasn't poisonous. If it were a poisonous snake, it would have already venomed into your internal organs after running around like that."
Shu Zhuang was delighted upon hearing this: "No poison?"
"Hmm~"
"Even if we put the snake in, it wouldn't be able to kill the monster if it wasn't poisonous," Shu Zhuang said, his tone a mixture of regret and relief.
The muttered words made the blind man's ears twitch.
She quickly grabbed his shoulder and pulled him back: "What did you say? A monster?"
"Yes, people in our village say that the gentleman's wife is a vixen. She may have harmed my father and made my mother cry every day."
After hearing this, the blind man let go of his hand and laughed: "The fox spirit they're talking about isn't a real monster."
"What?" Shu Zhuang didn't understand.
"The fox spirits they're talking about are women who specialize in seducing other women's husbands; they're shameless and shameless women, not real monsters." Fearing he might not understand, she explained further, "It means 'fox spirit' is an insult."
Shu Zhuang was puzzled.
The blind man continued talking to himself, as if it were a family secret.
"Your father was seduced by a shameless woman, which is why your mother cries every day. Poor mother and that man."
