Chapter 12 All the Superpowered People in the Class Want Me Dead
Ji Huaizhi did not make a move among the remaining people.
These people are all desperate criminals; keeping them around will only cause trouble. Once they reach a certain size, the ones who will suffer are ordinary people who are powerless to even kill a chicken.
They showed no mercy.
The superpower struck them directly and decisively.
Song Shu nimbly dodged the bullets, as if she had teleported in front of the enemy. Then, her right fist turned into metal and smashed into the back of his neck.
As they charged forward, Chen Peng used his supernatural abilities to erect an earthen wall in front of them, blocking their path.
Tang Bao's rattan whip pierced through the earthen wall and embedded itself in the enemy's chest.
After Da Hu fell, these people seemed to have lost their leader, and their team was easily scattered.
Upon seeing how ruthless these people were, he immediately begged for mercy.
Xie Jiaqiang ignored him. The chilling air condensed on his hands, and when he pressed one hand to the ground, the frost between his fingers burst open.
Then the sound of ice forming came from the ground, and a thick layer of ice spread out, instantly freezing the team in front of them into ice sculptures.
The ice sculpture was still emitting cold air.
The people inside the ice sculpture still had expressions of terror on their faces.
Song Shu stared in astonishment at Xie Jiaqiang's superpower.
That strong?
"Good heavens, Qiang-ge, did you eat dog poop and your superpowers grew so fast?" Lai Chao had just said his smug words.
A chunk of ice flew right at him and hit him on the head.
"Ouch!"
Feng Qiao had seen them kill zombies, but he had never seen them kill people.
When she saw Xie Jiaqiang walking over, she couldn't help but blurt out, "Wait a minute, I... this is the first time I've seen this... let me calm down."
The atmosphere suddenly became a little awkward.
For a moment, everyone fell silent.
Song Shu never expected that this soft-hearted team would take such drastic measures.
The apocalypse has only been going on for a few days.
They dare to kill like that.
Ji Huaizhi looked up and said, "There's no time to calm down, I have to go."
"Such a strong smell of blood will attract all sorts of filth in no time."
Xie Jiaqiang stepped forward forcefully and grasped Feng Qiao's hand: "Let's talk in the car."
Feng Qiao looked at her boyfriend's back. It was the same face, and he still cared about her, but the changes were so great.
Actually, it wasn't just him; his other friends were the same.
The group took their tents and boarded the RV.
The things inside are really complete, but it's a bit messy.
There's plenty of food and drink. Although the bulk of the supplies are on the truck, the supplies in the RV are enough to last a long time, and there's also a good amount of cigarettes and alcohol.
It's probably a backup plan they've made.
"Lai Chao is driving."
"Me?" Lai Chao pointed at himself in disbelief, unable to believe that Ji Huaizhi was calling him: "I just passed my driving test."
"I wasn't very good at driving in my past life either."
"I trust you. Everyone has to take turns driving, so you can go first."
Ji Huaizhi handed him the keys, patted him on the shoulder, and got into the passenger seat.
The others went straight to the back.
The ordinary people watching the show slowly got up. Seeing the eerie ice sculptures, they felt a little creeped out. Unexpectedly, they left immediately.
Have they forgotten that there's a huge truckload of supplies behind them?
The RV wobbled and drove further and further away; the clever people had already climbed onto the truck and looted the supplies.
"Don't steal it! Don't steal it!"
"Mine, all of them are mine, I'm starving."
The truck swayed precariously as people climbed on it, and they fought over food and water.
People who are really hungry will just tear open the packaging and stuff it into their mouths.
The scene was in complete chaos.
The rational people felt that this couldn't go on, so they told them to stop and suggested driving to a safe place to distribute the food, or that everyone use the food to get to the base together.
But these people simply can't stop.
They were afraid that the goods would be snatched up by others.
Even the most rational person can't stay rational. He picked up some of the food they had dropped on the ground and immediately called two familiar people to the front driver's seat.
They drove off with a large truckload of supplies.
If this continues, everything will be looted.
Those who hadn't gotten on the bus were filled with regret and slapped their thighs in frustration, while those in the back seats hurriedly stuffed food into their mouths.
The car swayed, and someone fell due to the car's inertia and choked to death inside.
After everyone had finished eating and calmed down, they finally discovered that someone on the bus had choked to death.
~
"Lai Chao, can you drive a little more steadily? I'm going to throw up." Li Xin clung to the car's handrail, feeling like he was going to vomit.
"I've done my best. Everyone, please bear with it and find a place to rest up ahead."
Ji Huaizhi found a pair of sunglasses somewhere and put them on. He seemed to be asleep. Lai Chao looked miserable and thought he was really carefree.
Feng Qiao also felt unwell and rested with her eyes closed, lying on Xie Jiaqiang's lap.
"We've arrived. The houses here are really beautiful. There don't seem to be many people, so there shouldn't be many zombies either. Let's find an empty house to rest."
Lai Chao parked the car, unbuckled his seatbelt, and jumped out.
Ji Huaizhi turned his head and calmly raised the handbrake on his left.
Song Shu, who was the last to get off the bus, saw it and six dots appeared above her head.
This team is full of carefree people.
"You really know how to pick a spot; this is a villa area." Chen Peng looked around and said, "Hey? Why does this look so familiar?"
"You forgot? We passed by here on our way to the base in our past lives," Lai Chao said smugly.
"Let's find a place to eat and rest first, I'm exhausted."
It was quiet all around, and even though it was still early morning, it felt incredibly hot. If it weren't for Xie Jiaqiang's ice and Song Shu's breeze, everyone's clothes would have been soaked with sweat.
The group chose an empty house; the owner of the house must not have returned for a long time.
Everyone cautiously looked around, and Feng Qiao asked, "Is there anyone else around here?"
"Yes," Song Shu replied.
Everyone looked at her, and Song Shu continued, "I feel like someone is watching us; there should still be people around."
Ji Huaizhi suddenly stopped and his ears twitched.
Suddenly, a mutated wolfhound darted out from the shadows, its face blue and its fangs terrifying.
He lunged straight at the crowd, trying to bite Chen Peng, who was walking at the back, and drag him away. He was so fast that no one had time to react.
Seeing this, Song Shu teleported behind and kicked the big wolfhound away.
Chen Peng felt a chill on his neck.
The large wolfhound barked, and unexpectedly, Ji Huaizhi also teleported behind the large wolfhound.
The roar pierced the sky.
Everyone saw the ice blade in Ji Huaizhi's hand pierce directly through the body of the large wolfhound.
The heavy corpse fell to the ground with a thud, and Chen Peng collapsed onto Tang Bao: "My god, I almost got disconnected."
"There's more than just this one big wolfhound here, let's go inside," Song Shu called out.
Even after everyone went inside, still shaken, they dared not relax.
Xie Jiaqiang turned around: "You're all here. Let's check if there's anything else in the villa first."
Several people nodded.
Song Shu looked up and around the villa; there was nothing there, it was empty.
