Chapter 12 Life Swap 12
"Hey, hey, what's wrong with you two arguing?"
"My second sister is always targeting me and bullying me." Ji Yaoguang wiped away his tears, feeling wronged. "I know you like Ji Huaizhi as your younger brother. You say Mom and Dad are biased, but aren't you biased too?"
“Because Ji Huaizhi knows how to cherish his sister, but you don’t.” Ji Qian cried as she spoke.
Ji Jiao was somewhat exasperated: "You two, stop arguing."
"How could I not know how? I can help you with the work now." Ji Yaoguang was heartbroken.
"What do you mean by helping us with chores? Aren't you part of this family? And aren't those chores your responsibility? What do you mean by helping us?"
Ji Qian retorted, "Big sister! Listen to what he has to say!"
Ji Jiao pulled her back: "Grandpa will scold you again if he hears this. What's the point of talking to him?"
Ji Qian shut up after hearing that.
However, she still looked unhappy and asked Ji Yaoguang, "Are you going to complain again?"
"What do you take me for?" Ji Yaoguang left, heartbroken.
When I went to find Ji Huaizhi, I saw him playing with a slingshot at the door. I went up to him and sobbed as I spoke:
"Ji Huaizhi, why does everyone like you? Except for Grandpa, who likes me a little more, why does everyone like you?"
"Waaaaah, sometimes I don't even want to play with you anymore. You're so smart that it makes me look so stupid."
Ji Huaizhi tossed him the slingshot, which Ji Yaoguang caught quickly.
"You can't beat me in IQ, but if you listen to me, other people will like you a lot."
With tears still streaming down his face and a bewildered expression, Ji Yaoguang heard Ji Huaizhi continue:
“No matter what your parents and grandfather tell you to do, don’t listen to them. For example, if they tell you to go east, then go west. Do the opposite, understand?”
"Huh?" Ji Yaoguang looked incredulous.
"Trust me, stop crying, you look awful. I'll take you to raid bird nests."
Ji Yaoguang returned with about ten bird eggs, wanting his older sister to cook them for him.
"I'll cook it for you later, I need to use newspaper to wallpaper the walls."
Ji Yaoguang saw that his older sister had stirred up some sticky paste: "I want to eat it."
Seeing his expression, Ji Qian pouted and spread out all the newspapers.
"Yaoguang! Yaoguang! Let your sister do it, Grandpa bought a sponge cake!" Ji Xiong shouted from outside.
Ji Yaoguang ran out happily, and Ji Xiong handed it to him: "You eat it all by yourself. I'll put the rest in the cupboard. If you're hungry, go get it yourself, okay?"
Just as she was about to put it in her mouth, she suddenly remembered what Ji Huaizhi had said to her earlier that day.
Do it the other way around.
Ji Yaoguang snatched the remaining sponge cake and said, "Give it all to me, I'll let my sister try some."
Ji Xiong was stunned: "Huh?"
Then I saw him carrying his things into the house.
Ji Xiong frowned: "You heartless bastard, you didn't even think to leave one for Grandpa?"
"You... really!"
"Grandpa, you're so old, eat less." Ji Yaoguang's voice came, which made Ji Xiong even angrier.
Ji Qian was secretly telling Ji Jiao that Yao Guang was eating alone behind their backs, but she didn't expect him to suddenly come back.
"Eat chicken cake."
Both of them were surprised and glanced at Ji Xiong outside: "Are you really going to give us some?"
Didn't we always eat behind their backs before?
"Eat up! After you finish eating, help me boil some bird eggs." Ji Yaoguang then looked at the wall behind him: "I'll help you plaster the wall, and I'll share the bird eggs with you two later."
“Okay, you look nice today, I’ll cook these bird eggs for you later,” Ji Qian said awkwardly.
"Okay, second sister, I won't scold you anymore."
"You're still insulting me?"
The next morning, Ji Huaizhi was woken up by Sun Qiao at around 5 a.m. and found two cardboard boxes filled with a lot of fat rabbits and baby rabbits.
This rabbit is incredibly prolific.
Sun Qiao had brought back two from elsewhere, but they kept multiplying, and she had to cut a lot of grass every day.
"Sister Jiao, where is Ji Yaoguang?"
Before Ji Jiao could speak, Ji Qian pouted and said, "She's asleep. She said she wanted to go together, but she's not going to wake up at all."
Ji Huaizhi went into the house after hearing this. Ji Yaoguang was fast asleep with his buttocks exposed. Ji Huaizhi went over and flicked his buttocks.
"Ah!" Ji Yaoguang suddenly woke up, his eyes glazed over, and asked unhappily, "What are you doing?"
"Are you going to sell rabbits or not? If not, I'm leaving." Ji Huaizhi only called out once.
Ji Yaoguang fell down and got up again: "Go!"
Ji Qian and Ji Jiao exchanged a glance: "He listens to Ji Huaizhi so much? That's ridiculous!"
"The two mischievous monkeys get along well."
Ji Huaizhi had a small cart that could only hold his two boxes of rabbits and some vegetables.
Ji Jiao and the others carried their things by hand, and also brought two large roosters to sell. Ji Jiao also carried a lot of vegetables.
It's not far to the street, only about two kilometers away.
Upon arriving at the market entrance, Ji Huaizhi found a spot, opened the box, and placed a sign in front of it that read:
Rabbits are 16 each, two for 30.
The little rabbits cost 5 yuan each, or 8 yuan for two.
Ji Yaoguang asked in confusion, "Won't Grandma scold you for selling yourself like this?"
“Grandma said she’d give me all the money from the sales.” Ji Huaizhi said smugly.
Ji Jiao was a little surprised to hear this; her second uncle and aunt really doted on Ji Huaizhi.
"Oh? I'm so envious of you." After saying that, he looked at his older sister, who turned her head away as if she knew what he was thinking. It wasn't her place to decide.
"Are there rabbits for sale? Want to buy one, kill it, and eat it?"
"Two of them are thirty? How much does this one weigh?"
Ji Huaizhi: "Five catties, you can lift it. Our rabbits are very well-fed."
Ji Jiao and Ji Qian felt that this place wouldn't work. Ji Huaizhi was too good at talking, and the things he sold were all the same except for the roosters, so they simply took Ji Qian to the other end of the market.
However, they also adopted Ji Huaizhi's selling method.
"I think it's not five jin, so I'll make it two yuan cheaper."
Ji Huaizhi shook his head: "No, 30 for two is already cheap."
The man's eyes darted around: "Weren't there rabbits for sale right next to you? If you won't sell to me, I'll just buy one from those two girls."
"Then you go ahead, that's my sister buying from my family." Ji Yaoguang was trying to steal the customer.
But the man still wanted to buy Ji Huaizhi's rabbit, because it was visibly much fatter.
Seeing that Ji Huaizhi wouldn't budge, he reached into his socks for money and said that Ji Huaizhi was very shrewd.
