Chapter 21 Life Swap 21

Chapter 21 Life Swap 21

Ji Huaizhi didn't expect them to be so restless as soon as they got back. There was no one around, and he wasn't going to listen to her nonsense.

That night, Ji Gangqiang was thinking about repairing the house in bed when Feng Li, after getting into bed, snatched the blanket and said, "I can't take it anymore! I'm going to tell everyone the truth: Ji Huaizhi is my son!"

Feng Li's voice was quite loud, which startled Ji Gangqiang.

"Can you keep it down? You scared me." Ji Gangqiang's face was not good.

"Why make such a fuss? It would be best if everyone could hear it!" Feng Li's voice grew louder.

Ji Gangqiang was speechless: "You're crazy."

"Get up, I want to talk to you." Feng Li stirred him. "Did you see how Yaoguang talked to me? He didn't talk to his mother like that at all!"

"He's just resenting us!" Feng Li had also gotten tired of pretending these past few days.

“Ji Huaizhi is clearly our son, and he’s much more capable than Yaoguang. I want to bring my son back!” Feng Li said, looking at Ji Gangqiang.

When I noticed he didn't react at all, I knew he had the same idea.

"Say something!" Feng Li nudged him again.

"After the children finish the college entrance examination?" Ji Gangqiang said.

"We'll invite Gangzheng and the others over for dinner then, we'll talk about it then."

Feng Li blinked: "But what if Ji Huaizhi gave the money from selling the rabbit farm to Ji Gangzheng and Sun Qiao?"

Ji Gangqiang: "You're worried about that? I don't think so. Ji Huaizhi is a very ambitious person. Besides, Yaoguang also wants a share of the money."

He glanced at Feng Li before saying the last sentence.

Feng Li: "Then it's settled. We'll talk about this after the college entrance exam."

After lying down, Feng Li was still thinking about the rabbit: "What a pity, I thought we could become bosses back in our hometown."

Ji Gangqiang: "Actually, I don't feel too sorry. I think neither of us is destined to be in business."

Feng Li gave a soft "hmm" and after a while spoke: "We don't have any, but our son does. I'll arrange for Ji Jiao to meet some potential partners in the meantime."

"She's not young anymore, let's talk about other things later."

Ji Gangqiang: "Yes, when you're looking for a partner, you should ask around about the man's family's financial situation."

Feng Li turned over, ready to sleep: "Do you need to tell me?"

The next day, Ji Gangqiang finally saw his younger brother and sister-in-law whom he hadn't seen for many years. The two of them seemed to have not changed much from before, and were even more energetic.

Moreover, he noticed that Ji Gangzheng and his group arrived not on electric scooters, but in pickup trucks.

"Now you have a car and a house, and I've been back for so long, yet you don't even come back to visit. You look down on your poor relative like me." Ji Gangqiang couldn't help but make sarcastic remarks.

"After all these years, your words have only gotten uglier." Ji Gangzheng didn't react to his words.

He's heard enough of this over the years because of his son.

Feng Li's gaze also fell on Sun Qiao's outfit: "Is your gold necklace fake? The color is wrong."

Sun Qiao hadn't seen Feng Li for so many years that she had almost forgotten what she used to look like, but as soon as Feng Li opened her mouth, her former sharp and sarcastic manner came back to mind.

"Huaizhi bought it for me with his first pot of gold, from the Lao Feng Xiang store." Sun Qiao's words were sharper than before: "You think the color is wrong, did your older brother buy you a fake one?"

Feng Li's expression twisted slightly; she wasn't even lying.

"Really? Your older brother bought me one before, but it's probably an older model with a different manufacturing process, so the color is different. It's too heavy and inconvenient to carry around." Feng Li said these words without blinking.

"And what if someone steals it? I've heard stories of people having their ears cut off for wearing gold earrings, and their fingers chopped off for wearing gold rings."

His words were also laced with sarcasm.

Ji Xiong felt a headache coming on: "Where are Huai Zhi and Yao Guang?"

Sun Qiao: "They were talking outside."

"Go and sign the contract. Also, have Gangzheng sign the land lease contract for me. Come back for dinner when you're done," Ji Xiong instructed.

“Okay.” Sun Qiao thought of something and added, “Dad, I just brought you some things. Have your older brother pick them up from the back of the car.”

Ji Gangqiang couldn't quite describe the feeling he had upon hearing this.

I haven't bought anything for my family since I came back.

Ji Gangzheng delivered things twice, once yesterday and once today.

"Understood, good." Ji Xiong smiled. The difference was obvious; he had indeed favored his eldest brother more in the past.

But what the boss did was really not a good look.

Just as Sun Qiao was about to leave, she turned to look at Feng Li, whose murderous gaze hadn't yet been withdrawn.

He glanced at Yaoguang not far away and said, "By the way, wasn't this necklace bought for me by Huaizhi with his first pot of gold? When Yaoguang made his first pot of gold, he bought me a dress and Gangzheng leather shoes."

"That's why you say both children are filial," Sun Qiao said with a smile as she left.

Feng Li was left standing there, furious.

Ji Gangzheng said helplessly, "Why are you saying all this? If we start arguing, Yaoguang will be the one who gets embarrassed."

"I just can't stand the way she talks. If your dad hadn't stopped me, I would have definitely shown her how powerful I, Sun Qiao, am!" Sun Qiao, now venting her anger, was like a proud peacock.

"Yes, you're amazing!" Ji Gang smiled.

Sun Qiao looked at the two brothers in front of her and said, "I've always looked down on your brother and his wife. I used to think they were unreliable, but I never expected them to be so cruel to their three children."

“I just said that Yaoguang bought us clothes and shoes, that was for them to hear. They know perfectly well whether you treat the children well or not.”

“The child has grown up and knows how to breastfeed, and knows how to water the fields when it rains,” Sun Qiao sneered.

Ji Gang held her shoulders: "Alright, stop thinking about it."

"I don't think Yaoguang will be too upset, after all, he has money to soothe his heart."

Hearing this, Sun Qiao smiled and said, "To be honest, the thought of us becoming beneficiaries of the demolition compensation makes me quite happy. Our son is really lucky."

"He is the kind of child who was born with good fortune and wealth, and came to repay a debt of gratitude."

Ji Gang laughed: "Have you forgotten the suffering you endured when you were pregnant?"

“He’s my child!” Sun Qiao’s voice rose a little. “What’s so bad about that? Even if he’s not that smart, I still love him.”

"Time flies so fast, they've all grown up so much." Sun Qiao couldn't help but sigh as she watched them walk away.

“Yeah, he used to be so small.” Ji Gangzheng also looked ahead, and Ji Yaoguang put his arm around Ji Huaizhi’s shoulder. The two good buddies walked forward.

"It feels like they were just yesterday slacking off and hunting birds."

"Second Uncle and Second Aunt, hurry up, they're waiting for us at the door," Ji Yaoguang called out.

"They're here!"

Feng Li was furious when she heard Sun Qiao's words: "Did you hear that? Both sons are now hers! She said it on purpose for me to hear!"
