Chapter 26: I Took Off My Brother's Green Hat

Chapter 26: I Took Off My Brother's Green Hat

~

Ji Huaizhi was currently enduring a dull ache in his head in his own space. He was soaked in sweat, and the red runes on his forehead were shining brightly.

His eyes were bloodshot, and his heavy breathing echoed in the empty room.

He was trying his best to restrain himself.

Xuanfeng circled anxiously on Ji Huaizhi's head, chirping like a little chick.

"Ugh... Ah!"

Suddenly, a surge of spiritual energy sent the Xuanfeng flying. Ji Huaizhi roared, his body radiating golden light.

The system on the table kept scrolling through data, constantly reassuring the host: "Host, adjust your breathing and calm your mind."

The veins on Ji Huaizhi's hands bulged as other images flashed through his mind.

The spiritual energy in the space surged, and there seemed to be a sound of tearing the air apart. Strands of golden light flew in mid-air and flowed continuously. The black phoenix that had been shaken to the wall was brought down by the gale and kept spinning in the golden light.

The system was also stunned by the sight before it.

"Master, no..."

Ji Huaizhi suddenly opened his eyes, and the rune on his forehead flashed red light before disappearing.

The medical equipment beside me, which had been stationary, suddenly started beeping, and the electrocardiogram monitor suddenly showed a heartbeat.

His mind went blank.

Where is this? What place is this?

"Why did my brother suddenly stop showing signs of life? Didn't you say he was in a coma? How could he suddenly stop showing signs of life?"

"Mr. Ji, please calm down," the doctors and nurses reassured him.

They've experienced this many times before.

"How can I stay calm? My brother was perfectly fine. I only told you about transferring him to another hospital today, and now you're saying he's dead!"

How can I calm down?

Ji's mother's hair had turned much whiter, and the sudden bad news about her youngest son made her unsteady on her feet: "My son, he was so young, how could he suddenly be gone?"

"I don't believe you, you must be lying to me."

Doctors and nurses: "We understand how you feel. We tried to resuscitate him after we found he had no vital signs. His vital signs were getting weaker and weaker as he remained unconscious."

"Bullshit!" Ji Huaijin roared, "You guys said he was asleep before."

The nurse closest to the ward heard the sound from the electrocardiogram monitor.

There were other machines making noise.

She turned her body to look inside, stunned, and found that the machines next to Ji Huaizhi were responding.

"Doctor!" Because the voice was too soft and the argument was too loud, no one heard it.

"Doctor!" the nurse shouted, and everyone fell silent, except for the echoing sobs of Ji's mother.

"The person in the ward seems to have woken up."

Upon hearing this, everyone immediately took their positions. When the doctor went in, he was startled by the patient's intimidating gaze. He turned to the machine and shouted, "Give him a physical examination!"

"yes!"

Ji Huaijin was stunned; he wanted to go in but was pushed out.

"Is it my brother who woke up? He's not dead?" Ji Huaijin asked the nurse.

"You misdiagnosed me, didn't you?"

"Family members, please don't get agitated. Wait outside for a moment. The doctor is examining you right now," the nurse said.

Ji Huaijin pulled his mother up: "Mom, Huaizhi is not dead, they are lying."

"It's alright, it was just a misdiagnosis."

Mother Ji's mouth gaped slightly, and her lifeless eyes suddenly lit up: "Really?"

"real!"

Ji's mother: "Change hospitals, we'll change Huaizhi's hospitals."

Mr. Ji was pushed over in a wheelchair by the caregiver. His face was full of anxiety. He heard someone say that a very young boy had passed away. They didn't know what illness he had, but it seemed that he had died in his sleep.

They wouldn't tell him; he wanted to see for himself.

What is the patient's heart rate?

"Heart rate 70 beats per minute, regular rhythm, no abnormal waveforms."

"body temperature?"

"36.5," the assistant replied, looking at the number on the thermometer, while another assistant was taking notes.

What is the patient's electrocardiogram like?

"No abnormalities in any leads of the electrocardiogram, no ST segment deviation. Blood oxygen saturation 98%, breathing stable, rate 19 breaths/minute."

Ji Huaizhi stared at the ceiling, lost in thought.

It seems he can't remember anything.

who is he?

After completing all the tests, the doctor breathed a sigh of relief: "This is the first time I've encountered a situation like this in my professional career, so the lack of vital signs means he's asleep?"

Ji Huaizhi looked at him: "Who am I?"

The doctor, who had just breathed a sigh of relief, almost choked again and quickly held up two fingers to ask him:

How many is this?

What does 1 + 1 equal?

Ji Huaizhi looked at him as if he were mentally challenged, and the doctor breathed a sigh of relief; he hadn't become stupid.

He continued, "Do you know who Ji Huaijin is?"

Ji Huaizhi looked at him without saying anything.

The doctor stood up and exchanged glances with the others.

When Ji Huaijin heard the doctor's explanation, he learned that he was in good health and had no abnormalities.

He could even be discharged immediately. The fact that he had no vital signs before seemed like a dream, and everyone found it unbelievable. The only problem was that he seemed to have no memory of anything.

However, Ji Huaijin was still worried, so he contacted other hospitals for further examination, but the results were all the same.

They went to several hospitals, but none of them found anything wrong with him. They couldn't even believe that he had been in a coma for many days and had been dead for a while.

Later, Ji Huaizhi refused to continue the examination, but Ji Huaijin still forced him to be hospitalized.

He brought Shushu to see him.

I saw my younger brother standing by the window, looking out with a worried expression. He didn't seem like a child anymore.

Ji's mother, Ji's father, and Ji Huaijin all felt that Huaizhi had changed, as if the cheerful young man of the past had become a cold person.

They were very uncomfortable and felt very uneasy.

It's like the closest person suddenly not recognizing them.

"Uncle!" Ji Shu called out.

Ji Huaizhi turned to look at the little girl, seemingly trying to figure out who she was.

Ji Shu happily rushed over and hugged his leg: "Uncle, Shu Shu missed you so much! Are you better now? You slept for so long, it scared me to death."

Ji Shu's eyes were brimming with worry.

Ji Huaizhi felt a little awkward and uncomfortable.

But Ji Shu couldn't see anything different about her uncle.

She felt that her father and grandmother had misunderstood; her uncle was still the same uncle.

"Uncle?"

Ji Huaizhi frowned slightly.

Ji Huaijin thought he didn't like it and was about to pull Shushu away when he unexpectedly bent down and picked up his daughter.

"Too light?"
