Chapter 29: I Took Off My Brother's Green Hat
"Chen Xiuli, that's enough!" Feng Chuan shouted.
"You've been taking care of the child all along, don't blame me for the mistakes!"
“Now that the child has become like this, I also want to ask you, how did you raise him?” Feng Chuan pointed at her.
Who wouldn't be afraid of a daughter suffering from an infectious disease?
Chen Xiuli laughed and cried at the same time, looking much older than before: "Hahahaha, how could I have ever fallen for you before?"
"How did I manage it? Hahahahahaha."
"Then I don't care anymore! What have I gotten in return for all these years of caring for her?" Chen Xiuli slapped Feng Chuan and Zhou's mother once each, then shouted:
"You bunch of rotten people should live like rats in a sewer, rotting and stinking underground!"
Chen Xiuli's erratic behavior shocked them all.
They only realized what had happened after she left.
Ji Huaizhi glanced at his elder brother: "It's a good thing you left early."
"I just feel a sense of loss; I never imagined it would end like this." Ji Huaijin gestured to his younger brother that he could leave.
Unexpectedly, Fengchuan stopped the two brothers:
"Although you and Wanyi are divorced, you still have a daughter who is a connection between you."
His self-righteous manner was laughable.
"She will always be Ji Shu's biological mother, and she will be responsible for her when she comes of age!"
Ji Huaizhi: "She also slept with your stepson. Let your stepson take care of her. They are both sick now, so they can keep each other company and take care of each other."
"I'm not sick!" Zhou Xiang suddenly shouted.
Ji Huaijin, with a cold expression, grabbed Feng Chuan by the collar.
He was terrified, not expecting his former son-in-law to make a move.
Zhou's mother is comforting her distraught son.
"Shut up! My daughter has nothing to do with you filthy people." Ji Huaijin's temper was worse than before; he was now sharp and aggressive.
“You are not even qualified to mention her.”
Do you understand?
"You...you are outrageous!" Feng Chuan never expected his gentle and refined former son-in-law to have such a side.
"I'm divorced from your daughter, so what relationship do we have?"
After issuing his warning, Ji Huaijin released his grip: "If you dare to do anything, I really will kill you."
After saying that, he turned around and left with his younger brother.
Behind him, he could still hear Zhou Xiang's voice breaking down.
Ji Huaizhi praised his elder brother: "That's good, you know how to fight violence with violence."
Ji Huaijin led him to the parking lot: "This has indeed reduced a lot of trouble. Now that I'm in a bad mood, the people around me are in a better mood."
Ji Huai's smile shows that he has grasped the true essence.
When the two arrived at the parking lot, Ji's mother and the others were still waiting for them.
Have you had enough of the show?
"I've had a great show, sorry to have kept you waiting." Ji Huaizhi said with a grin, "Let's go back."
Ji Shu pouted unhappily: "Dad, Uncle, you're not taking me with you!"
"Kids shouldn't watch everything," Ji Huaijin patted her head. "Get in the car quickly."
When the group arrived home, the neighbors were all waiting at the door.
Seeing them get out of the car, he went up to them and greeted them: "Oh, Huaizhi is really better now, how are you feeling?"
Ji Huaizhi smiled faintly: "Aunt Fen, I'm much better."
Sister Fen patted him on the shoulder: "It's good that you're all better. Your mom and your brother were worried sick."
Then he looked at Ji's father in the wheelchair: "How are you, Lao Ji? You won't be in a wheelchair forever, will you? Are you feeling any better?"
The caregiver stopped when they saw they were about to speak.
Mother Ji replied, "Much better, but you'll need to take good care of yourself from now on."
"That's good, as long as the family is safe and sound."
"Yes, it's good that you're all alright."
Some people asked Huaizhi what illness he had been diagnosed with, so Ji's mother simply invited the neighbors in for a chat.
There had been a lot going on at home, so we hadn't had time to clean. We all helped each other clean while chatting.
This left Ji Huaizhi and the others completely clueless about what they were planning to do.
As Ji's father's health gradually recovered, the Ji family returned to its former peaceful and harmonious days.
Only Ji Huaizhi had something on his mind.
He often wondered why he came here, how he got here, and what his purpose was in coming here.
I can't figure it out.
There are no clues.
However, he knew he didn't belong here, and this body wasn't even his.
Occasionally, unfamiliar scenes will appear in my dreams.
There is a phoenix, many people who cannot see clearly, and one person standing at the highest point.
I couldn't see the person's face clearly, but I felt a strong sense of oppression.
"Whatever the outcome, it's fate."
"It's his fate to die by my hand."
The man's voice was deep and resonant, with an aggressive quality that inspired awe.
Ji Huaizhi slowly opened his eyes; he was dreaming again.
I wonder if I dreamed before I lost my memory.
He arrived at the classroom with his schoolbag slung over one shoulder, and the boy with the side-swept bangs immediately asked to copy his homework.
"Bro, homework, hehe." He smiled ingratiatingly.
Ji Huaizhi tossed it to him and then lay down on the table to catch up on sleep.
The man with the side-swept bangs exclaimed, "I never imagined I'd be copying Brother Ji's homework one day. It's such a dream come true."
"Who isn't? We were all the same before, but now he's Teacher Tang's darling."
The man with the side-swept bangs looked at the back of Ji Huaizhi's head and said, "Maybe we should also go and have our heads banged?"
Everyone shook their heads in unison.
"What if you get hit and killed? It would be ridiculous if someone not only lacked intelligence but also lost their life."
Everyone felt that Ji Huaizhi's mind had actually improved after surviving this ordeal, which surprised even his mother.
Ji's father and Ji looked at the perfect answer sheet and exchanged a glance, their eyes filled with disbelief.
"Old Ji, is it possible that the person in front of us isn't our son?"
Father Ji's lips twitched, and he slurred, "Could it be that he's possessed by a ghost? Or did that fright make him think straight?"
Ji's mother handed the test paper to her husband, keeping a close eye on her youngest son who was eating snacks.
Uncle Ji looked at the paper over and over again.
They even checked the score against the light to see if it had been altered.
Ji Huaizhi raised his eyes: "Ms. Ji, there seems to be a murderous glint in your eyes."
Mother Ji raised her hand and shouted, "Monster, get out of my son's body!"
Hearing this, Ji Shu thought they were playing some kind of game, so she jumped over and shouted, "Monster, give me back my uncle!"
Ji Huaizhi put down the snacks, his expression gloomy: "Want him back? Then leave your life behind!"
Ji Shu screamed: "Ah!"
"Hahahaha, Grandma, my uncle is bullying me! Quickly find a shaman to exorcise him."
"Hahahaha, no, Uncle, don't tickle me, hahahaha."
As soon as Ji Huaijin entered, he heard laughter and cheerful voices from the house.
When Ji's mother saw her eldest son return, she exclaimed, "Come and see! Your younger brother is like the sun rising in the west! He actually got a perfect score!"
Ji Huaijin took the test paper, looked at it, and raised an eyebrow: "Not bad."
“Your teacher called me recently and said that you are very obedient and know how to study. I thought it was fake.”
Ji Huaizhi raised an eyebrow, amusement in his eyes: "You've been contacting our old teacher quite frequently lately, haven't you?"
Ji Huaijin: "It's all because of you. You not only cause your family to worry, but you, as a teacher, also age several years because you are a student in your class."
"Did Teacher Tang tell you that?"
Ji Huaizhi's smug expression made Ji Huaijin unable to resist hitting him with the test paper: "Don't talk nonsense, keep it up, I'll send you a red envelope later."
Ji Huaizhi curled his lip: "You always try to corrupt me with money."
