The weather in July is terribly hot.
Due to the weather, Liu Miaomiao's snack stall sold out its sour plum drinks faster than its fried tofu.
After she no longer had to recommend this drink, she closed her stall earlier, and almost all of it was sold out before 10 o'clock, while her daily net profit remained at around 1,500.
Over the past month, the money she earned from setting up her stall plus her previous salary savings has brought her savings to more than 60,000 yuan.
Liu Miaomiao has been becoming more and more impatient these past two days.
This is because college students are about to start their two-month summer vacation at the end of July, and the flow of people in the university town will drop to the lowest point once the vacation starts, which means she has to find another place to set up her stall.
These days, Liu Miaomiao has been busy looking for a suitable place nearby.
Such a place was not easy to find, and she grew more and more impatient as the days went by.
"Hey! They're gone, all gone." Liu Miaomiao turned her head following the voice and saw the lady selling wolf tooth potatoes at the entrance of the alley sitting on a small stool muttering to herself.
There weren't many people in front of the snack stand today, so she asked, "Auntie, what did you say you left?"
The old lady glanced at her, wiped her hands and said, "The students in this school have all left, pulling their suitcases back home."
Hearing this, Liu Miaomiao frowned and looked towards the road.
Sure enough, from time to time, there were a few young people pulling suitcases passing by on the street, walking away or getting into taxis directly. I guess they were all college students on vacation.
Over the next two days, the number of customers at Liu Miaomiao's snack stall decreased visibly. At around 11 o'clock in the evening, there were still some unsold items left. She thought that the college students had left school one after another. Seeing this, she sighed and had to pack up her stall and go back.
On the third day, she didn't continue to set up a stall near the university town. There was no need for that!
Liu Miaomiao knew that what she had to do now was to find a suitable stall in the next two days instead of wasting time going to the university town.
Time was urgent, so she took out the good luck charm she had placed in the storage compartment and hung it on her body to increase her luck.
Then I went out and checked the conditions of several nearby residential areas, commercial areas, and office buildings one by one. I ruled out the areas near the residential areas first because they did not have enough people flow. Then I ruled out the areas near the commercial areas because the flow of people there was only on weekends and was not suitable either.
Finally, there was only one office building left. After looking at it, she found that the flow of people here was enough to barely serve as a place to set up a stall, but the situation here was different from that near the university town.
The main flow of people here are white-collar workers who work from nine to six like she did before. If she wants to sell snacks like fried tofu here, there won't be many people buying them, and it won't be very suitable.
She observed for a day and found that the roadside stalls here had the most customers at noon, when people in office buildings would come out to buy lunch. If she wanted to sell something, she still needed something that could resist hunger.
After deciding to set up a stall in the office building, Liu Miaomiao began to think about what to sell. She held the home-cooked recipe in her arms and read it over and over again, hoping to find some inspiration from it.
It wasn't until before going to bed that she came across a stewed meat dish and an idea suddenly came to her mind.
She knew that the biggest advantage of her stall now was the delicious recipes in this cookbook, and if she wanted to sell something that could help her stay hungry, there were only two options: rice and noodles. There was no other option.
Noodles were too troublesome, so the only option left for her was rice. The stewed meat dish she had just found gave her an idea, so she might as well just sell braised pork rice.
Braise the meat in advance, serve it with rice and side dishes, and then you can sell it directly.
The more Liu Miaomiao thought about this plan, the more feasible it seemed. The next day, she started purchasing raw materials and tried the braised meat and eggs according to the ingredients on the menu.
The braising time was very long, and by the afternoon a strong aroma wafted out from the pot. As time passed, it became stronger and stronger, and Liu Miaomiao couldn't help swallowing her saliva.
She used an electric rice cooker to cook the food. When the "ding~" sound indicated that the time was up, she slowly opened the rice cooker, picked up a piece of meat and put it into her bowl. Looking at the piece of meat that broke apart at the touch and had an attractive color, she took a small bite.
I can only say that the recipe is worthy of the recipe. The taste of the meat is a pleasure to eat. Liu Miaomiao ate a bowl of rice with the meat.
The aroma of meat filled the air. Dong Xiaojie, a tenant living nearby, could not help but swallow his saliva when he smelled it. "Whose family is stewing meat? This smell is so tempting."
The game interface he was originally playing in his hand no longer attracted his attention.
After a while, Dong Xiaojie couldn't help but take out his mobile phone and ordered a takeout of braised pork rice. He smelled the aroma of meat in the air and his stomach kept rumbling.
Unfortunately, the braised pork rice arrived a moment later. He opened it and looked at the few small pieces of meat in the takeaway. Compared with the strong meat aroma in the air, he felt a huge gap. He used chopsticks to pick up a few bites and reluctantly ate the takeaway. He covered himself with the quilt and forced himself to sleep.
The next day, as the alarm clock rang, Dong Xiaojie hurriedly washed up and went to work. He worked in a nearby office building. He had been busy for several hours in the morning and was already hungry.
When lunch break came, he and several of his good colleagues would go downstairs to have lunch together.
"What are we going to eat? I'm starving."
"There are only a few restaurants. Just eat from the restaurant that has less food!"
Several people stood in the elevator and chatted casually about lunch arrangements.
“Ding~”
At this time, the elevator door opened to the first floor. Several people walked out of the building and headed towards the street next door where several fast food restaurants were located. They saw small restaurants with various signature brands crowded together.
