Chapter 257 My name is Zhou Xian

After walking out of the mansion and getting on the carriage, he took a nap for a quarter of an hour, then he opened the curtain and saw the tall palace gate.

Today is a day off, so I don't need to go to the Purple Palace to pay my respects to the Emperor. I went directly to the Diligent Learning Pavilion. As I walked into the palace, I saw Feng Yi sitting upright behind the desk.

I want to take Taifu's class with him.

"Greetings, Your Highness." I bowed and heard him say, "Get up quickly. You're already half a quarter of an hour late today."

I sat behind the desk to his right and sighed, "I forgot I had to practice sword fighting for my father today, I'm almost late."

He was born only a few months earlier than me, but at this moment he sighed and shook his head like an older brother: "It's okay, you'll get used to it after suffering for a while."

I looked up at him. Today he was wearing a purple and gold brocade robe, a jade crown on his head, and had a pair of phoenix eyes, just like the emperor. At this moment, he shook his head and looked like an old scholar.

I was just about to laugh at him when I heard two low coughs and quickly sat up straight.

The Grand Tutor walked in slowly, and I stood up and saluted him immediately. "Greetings, Grand Tutor."

I opened the boring ancient book and continued to study until 2:15 pm (10:30 am) before I finished this long and boring class.

After saying goodbye to Feng Yi and riding in a carriage back home, I couldn't wait to run to Qiyun Pavilion.

"Mom!" I shouted first. Aunt Luzhu had already lifted the curtain of the palace door. I ran in and saw the woman sitting on the couch at a glance.

I smiled and threw myself into her arms, "Mom."

"My dear son, how did you do in school today?" My mother's smiling voice came from above my head.

I looked up at her. She was dressed the same as usual today. She was elegant and pretty, with a beautiful face. Her eyes were bright as if they were filled with stars. She was looking at me gently.

Every time I see my mother, I think she is the most beautiful and gentle mother in the world.

"It's okay. The tutor praised me for doing a good job in my studies." I acted half-coquettishly and opened my arms for her to hug me.

My mother smiled and praised me for being smart. Just as she was about to pick me up, she heard a voice from behind her: "You're already so old, why do you still need to hold me?"

My body stiffened and my face fell.

Without turning around, I climbed onto the couch and sat next to my mother, holding her arm.

"He's just a child, it's okay to hug him." My mother said in a gentle voice.

I glanced out of the corner of my eye and saw my father walk in. He looked at me and said to my mother, "He's six years old. He's heavy. You can't hold him."

I feel wronged. Why did my dad say I was fat in front of me?

"I'm not sinking," I whispered back.

My mother giggled at my amusement and kissed me twice on the cheek. "What do you want for lunch?"

I touched my face, feeling a little embarrassed.

"I want to eat fish."

"Okay." My mother called Aunt Zizhen in and asked the kitchen to cook fish for me.

We all eat lunch in our own yards, and only have dinner together as a family.

I pestered my mother, saying that her new clothes looked beautiful. I glanced at my father, who was feeding her cherries, and whispered to her, "I have to go to the martial arts training ground this afternoon. Mom, I'm so tired."

When my father heard what I said, he looked up and glared at me. I shrank my neck and hid behind my mother.

"Going to the martial arts training ground? Didn't you go there a while ago? Why are you going again?"

My father smiled gently, "I have nothing to do today, so I'll go see how he's doing with his martial arts."

He is really good at coaxing my mother, and I am stunned every time he listens to me.

"...Ling'er, it's a good opportunity for you to go and take a look. He's made some progress in his sword practice today. You should take a look too."

I sighed, and sure enough, I heard my mother nod, "Okay."

But I didn't think I could escape, I had another purpose this time.

I blinked and looked up at my mother. "Mom, sword training is hard. I want to take a nap with you. Is that okay?"

I ignored my father's cold and stern face, and just acted coquettishly and cutely, pouting at my mother's beautiful eyes.

"Of course." My mother gave a beautiful smile.

Having won, I happily swung my legs and ate the cherries my mother fed me. It was so delicious.

After lunch, I climbed onto the bed and lay down. While my mother was washing up, my father pinched my face and said angrily, "You are so old, but you still want to sleep next to your mother. You have no shame."

I snorted, "I want to sleep next to mom."

As soon as my mother came in, he stopped and went over to help her take off her coat, trying to sow discord between me and my mother in front of me.

"He's already six years old. When I was his age, I would have lived in a courtyard all by myself. Ling'er, you can't be partial to him. If he sleeps in the middle, I won't be able to hold you..."

I pouted, covered my ears and closed my eyes. I really didn't want to ruin the tall and mighty image of my father in my mind.

I didn't hear or see how my mother coaxed him. I only knew that my father turned around with a red face, which stunned me again.

Well, my mother is even better at coaxing my father.

I didn’t care about that and just took a nice nap next to my mother.

At 3:00 PM, we left the house to go to the martial arts training ground. I had originally planned to ride in a carriage with my mother, but as soon as I stood on the edge of the carriage, my father pulled me onto his horse and said, "Ride with me. Men shouldn't always ride in carriages."

I curled my lips and sat on the horse's back resignedly. I thought to myself, every time he and my mother go out, he always sticks to her and rides in the carriage. It's really like the officials are allowed to set fires but the people are not allowed to light lamps.

My mother lifted the curtain and told him, "Don't let him ride alone. Hold him."

My father seemed helpless. He responded and got on the horse and sat behind me, holding me in his arms.

He said he was old enough to run a horse at my age, but my mother wouldn't let him because she was afraid I would get hurt.

I turned around and smiled at my mother, and she blew me a kiss. This is what my mother taught me, and she said it's called a flying kiss.
