Three days passed quickly.
As expected, the Imperial Medical Academy posted a prescription for curing the plague outside the palace gates.
For a time, the area outside the palace gates was packed with people.
Everyone was eager to see what was written on the prescription.
The people in the front row hurriedly copied down the prescription with paper and pen.
Those behind them followed suit.
Everyone's face was beaming with excitement.
Joyful sounds kept coming from the crowd.
"There's hope! There's hope now!"
"Finally, I don't have to wear a mask to meet people anymore, and I can finally get rid of the terrible scars on my body!"
"After you write down the prescription, hurry to the pharmacy to get the medicine. There will be too many people and you'll have to wait a long time!"

Outside the palace gates, people kept coming forward and then leaving, then pushing forward and then leaving again.
People come and go in waves.
In contrast, the area outside the Xie residence was quite deserted.
Liu Kang and Wen An sat together, waiting for patients to come and ask for medicine, but a whole morning passed and not a single person came.
"Master, didn't Mother say that this medicine is something that everyone in the capital craves? But no one has come to get the prescription."

Wen An nodded, seemingly understanding but not quite.

Liu Kang smiled and agreed with Wen An, "Yes, Madam is a very capable woman."
He looked at Wen An beside him.
Wen An is exceptionally gifted, and he has probably inherited some of his wife's intelligence.
The two chatted casually, but Wen An noticed a man in the distance cautiously watching them.
He seemed to want to come over, but he also looked very hesitant.
The sores on the man's forehead were very noticeable, indicating that he was a patient afflicted by the plague.
Wen An looked at him and asked his master, "Master, there's a patient there who seems to want to come and see, but he hasn't come yet. What does that mean?"
Liu Kang also saw the man, and he said calmly:
"The fact that he hasn't come over yet proves that he's still struggling and conflicted inside. It's okay, he'll come over once he's figured things out."

The man stood at a distance for a while, then walked towards them.

Sitting next to Liu Kang, Wen An handed the man the prescription she had written down earlier, saying, "Here, take this."
The man's hands trembled as he looked at the ten medicinal herbs listed on the prescription. He recognized every single word, but he had never heard of any of the ingredients used to make the medicine.
Hesitantly, he didn't leave.
"What's wrong? Do you have any other illnesses you'd like to have checked? I can take a look at them for you too."
The man waved his hands repeatedly in refusal when he heard An's childish question.
"Oh no, no, I want to ask one more question: how much money do the medicines on this prescription cost?"
Wen An was now at a loss.
He turned his head toward his master.
Liu Kang understood, and then said:
"As far as I know, the medicine on this won't cost more than a tael of silver."
"One coin?" The man looked astonished. "Only one coin?!"
Wen An was somewhat puzzled. "Do you think one qian is a bit too little? How about I add a few more expensive herbs?"
"No, no, no..." the man said with great joy, "It's very good, one qian is very good, thank you Dr. Liu, thank you young master, I will go and get the medicine right away."
After saying that, he turned around and walked quickly to the back.
But he had only taken a few steps when Wen An called out to him from behind, "Wait!"
The man stopped and turned around.
"May I have your name?"

Da Niu nodded blankly.

Wen An quickly withdrew his hand.
