A rough-looking man appeared in the yard carrying a load of firewood. When he saw her coming out, he immediately put the firewood down.
"Why did you get out of bed?" The hunter walked forward and helped her up.
Bei Yutang limped along, refusing his support. "It's okay. I have to learn to walk on my own. It's not a good idea to always rely on you."
"It's okay. As long as I'm here, just lean on me." The hunter said cheerfully.
"There will come a time when you'll be gone, and I can't follow you around all the time," Bei Yutang said with a smile.
"It's all my fault that I'm poor. If I had money, I could hire a doctor for you." The hunter said with some self-blame.
"What are you talking about? You have already done me a great favor by saving me. If you hadn't taken care of me for so long, I would have turned into a pile of bones long ago." Bei Yutang said.
"My mother once said that saving a life is better than building a seven-story pagoda." The hunter smiled innocently.
If the original owner, Bei Yutang, had not recalled her memories a year later, she might have lived happily with this hunter. But a year later, she recalled the past.
The hunter continued, "I went to town and asked for the person you asked me to look for, but he didn't find him. Did you remember it wrongly?"
"Perhaps."
"I'll ask for you when I go to town again in a few days." The hunter added, not wanting to disappoint her.
"No need. I plan to keep it for a while. After a while, I will go find it myself."
"Well, alright then."
The meals at the hunter's house were simple, but there was no shortage of meat.
Bei Yutang looked at these dishes. They were basically boiled in plain water and had no taste at all.
When it was time for the second meal, Bei Yutang insisted on cooking, and after he finished eating, he no longer stopped her from entering the kitchen. Bei Yutang stayed in the mountains, not just to stay there, but to collect herbs.
She would follow the hunter into the mountains, he would hunt while she would collect herbs.
Sometimes, after he made the traps, he would help her pick herbs.
These medicines are used by her to take care of her body.
The hunter watched her taking his pulse, very curious, "You can treat illnesses?"
"Yeah." Bei Yutang replied softly.
The hunter's eyes suddenly lit up.
He found that she understood a lot since she remembered the past.
In the hunter's mind, he had already imagined her as a very remarkable person.
Bei Yutang chopped up several herbs and applied them on her legs.
The original owner's legs didn't need to be lame, but because she missed the time for the information, even the Great Luo Immortal couldn't heal them. What she was doing now was to recuperate as much as possible and make her legs as flexible as possible.
Bei Yutang was not in a hurry to treat the wound on her face.
Of course, the main reason is that there are no medicinal herbs. Some of the herbs used in the scar removal ointment are too expensive, and the family is not rich, so she does not plan to get them now.
Besides, she felt that this face would be more conducive to her revenge.
After recuperating in the mountains for a month, Bei Yutang prepared to go down the mountain.
"Are you really leaving?" Lei Tian looked at her eagerly.
"Yeah. I have to go back."
Lei Tian took out a worn purse from his sleeve and stuffed it into her arms, "Take this."
Bei Yutang looked at the silver and money in his hand. This money was all his belongings.
Before she could open her mouth to refuse, she heard Lei Tian say, "If you don't want to, I won't let you leave."
