"Honey, I was wrong. Please forgive me. Please don't divorce me." As she spoke, tears welled up in her eyes and streamed down her face.
She realized that she couldn't live without her husband. She loved him, perhaps she had loved him for a long time, but she had never been able to see her own heart clearly before. Now that she was about to lose him, she was finally afraid.
"You don't want me to come out?" Mr. Chu gently wiped away her tears with his fingertips. Wan Ge said that his wife had always loved him, but she couldn't see her own heart clearly. It seems that this is true. Now she sees it clearly.
"No, I was wrong. You can only belong to me." She doesn't want to come out of the closet, neither men nor women are allowed. You can only belong to her.
Madam Chu held her husband tightly, as if she would leave at any moment if she let go of him.
"So you don't care whether Enen likes boys or girls?" After all, Wan Ge had helped her out, so of course she had to ask about things that mattered to her.
“I don’t care anymore. I only care about you. It doesn’t matter who Enen is with,” Madam Chu said immediately.
"Don't cry." Mr. Chu picked up his wife and went straight back to the room. "Actually, I... never thought about divorcing you."
"Huh? You don't hate me anymore?"
"I have never disliked you." From the moment he saw his wife when he was twenty-one, he felt completely attracted to her, and it was like a dream that she agreed to marry him.
The moment he first held his wife in his arms felt like a new hope had finally appeared in his life. He loved her so much! Even though she had never shown him any intensely passionate love.
Even after discovering what his wife had done to the child, he felt mostly anger and regret. He regretted not taking care of the child and regretted never knowing what his wife was thinking. He moved to the study because he was at a loss and didn't know what to do. But no matter what, he never thought of separating from his wife.
That divorce agreement was just a prop. The original plan was for this scene to make the wife truly realize her importance, but he could sense her concern even before it was mentioned. However, he didn't expect the wife to discover the prop herself.
…
After a night, Madam Chu finally understood what had happened and discovered that there was no such thing as a childhood friend; it was all a lie to make her dislike her original views and agree to her son's idea of free love. It was also a test of her feelings.
Under his wife's flattery, Mr. Chu had no choice but to obediently confess everything, clearly betraying his daughter-in-law.
When she learned that it was her daughter-in-law's idea, Madam Chu almost gritted her teeth: "She really is my good daughter-in-law."
Because she wanted her to separate from her son, she encouraged her husband to divorce her and even brought her childhood friend along to deceive her.
Madam Chu wasn't really angry; in fact, she was grateful that this experience had made her see herself clearly. However, considering the whole situation she had envisioned, it seemed like doing nothing wouldn't be a good idea.
So the next afternoon, Madam Chu invited Wan Ge and her son to her home for dinner.
As the two men were discussing something and came downstairs, Wan Ge, who was sitting peacefully on the sofa, was suddenly pressed down and kissed on the cheek.
