"Yeah." Anyway, she can't see, which means she doesn't know anyone, so why does she care who sees her.
Lorsis smiled and picked her up, walking to the dining room, "When I went to the palace, I took one of the chefs with me. I asked him to learn new dishes with the palace chef. I'll let you try the new dishes tomorrow."
"good."
After dinner, Lorsis sent her back to the bedroom to take a bath, and took her to the musical as usual, but this time he held her in his arms.
As a mermaid, Ahephia didn't like anything that was hotter than her, but she kept adapting to his temperature.
From him holding her hand, to his arms.
Under the dark stage, the musical had not yet begun. Lorsis let her sit astride his arms, took her hand and stroked his cheek, "Ahefuya, can you kiss me?"
Ahefuya cupped his cheek, determined the position, and kissed him on the face.
The kiss was slightly cool, but it made his heart soft.
He hugged her tightly, "I love Ahefuya so much."
Ahefuya rested her face on his shoulder, the corners of her lips slightly raised.
"Ahefuya, I want to hear you say you like me."
"I like Lorsis."
Lorsis was satisfied and gently stroked her back.
He was never good at speaking soft words or coaxing people. Scolding and commanding were his usual tone, but when it came to her, he inexplicably did that.
The musical began, she nestled in his arms, feeling his body warmth, and listening to the lyrics and the sounds of instruments coming from behind.
After the musical, Lorsis carried her back, walked her to the door and put her down, "Good night, Ahefuya, have a good night."
He leaned over and kissed her on the forehead.
Ahefuya held his face, returned his kiss, and whispered, "Good night."
Lorsis smiled and hugged her again, "Come in."
I really don't want to let go.
Lorsis returned to the bedroom and sat on the desk in the outer hall. He said to the guard standing outside, "Ask Atemo to bring the scroll over."
He saw him when he came back.
"Understood, Your Excellency the Duke."
Atemo was pulled out of bed and woke up. He came over with the document in his arms, looking sleepy. "My Lord Duke, why did you call me over so late at night?"
Lorsis took a scroll and opened it. "I'm not free during the day."
“Why aren’t you free during the day?”
"I want to be with my future wife."
Atemo looked surprised, then painful, "You are really unconventional, working so late at night."
Lorsis had a blank expression on his face.
"Which noble family is Miss Akhfuya's daughter from?"
"She comes from far away, and is not the daughter of any gentry."
"I heard she can't see. Can her eyes be cured?"
"No, the healer has checked her out, Artem. Whether she can see or not, she will be the future duchess. You must respect her as you respect me."
"I understand. You always mean what you say. I am just expressing my concern."
"Tell me about the situation in each territory. Are there any lords who squeeze too much tax from the common people?"
Atemo reported all the information he had obtained from his secret investigations, and did not stop until late at night.
"I'll give you a day off. You don't have to come tomorrow." Seeing how sleepy he looked, Lorsis said with a rare sense of conscience.
