Su Jinyan returned to her room, which had turned from white to a somber gray, as if she had stepped into an old gray photograph.
The NPC, modeled after Xia Linyin, stood motionless with its eyes closed, just like when he first entered the room.
The word "bedending" floated above her head, and a chibi version of Charlene sat on her shoulder.
The miniature version of Xia Linyin has an adorable little face, and she makes a crying gesture by clenching her little fists and placing them on either side of her eyes.
The baby's soft, whimpering voice was so sweet it almost melted your heart.
It is obvious that this is a sad ending.
Su Jinyan exited the game. He stared at the gray screen, rubbed his temples, realizing it was his oversight.
He could still feel the intense pain in his chest as he recalled Xia Linyin's last appearance in the game.
There was no hatred in her gentle eyes, her voice was as tender as if she were whispering sweet nothings to him, and her movements were intimate and lingering...
She watched him bleed to death, a smile on her face, doing the coldest, most ruthless thing with a gentle yet captivating demeanor.
Like a poisoned yet alluringly fragrant bone-eating flower, she makes people willingly die at her hands.
He couldn't reconcile this Xia Linyin with the Xia Linyin he remembered.
Will Xia Linyin really turn out like this?
For a fleeting moment, Su Jinyan even doubted the accuracy of the game's scenario simulation. However, the game wouldn't malfunction, meaning that if he destroyed the NPC and Xia Linyin found out about it, there was a 99% chance that Xia Linyin would do the same thing.
if……
Xia Linyin didn't know about this?
So what will the result be?
Su Jinyan entered the game again...
In the dim corner, a cluster of sparks appeared. Su Jinyan took a deep drag of the cigarette between her fingers and then slowly exhaled the smoke.
The swirling smoke blurred his handsome features and clouded his deep eyes.
Even now, as times have progressed, cigarettes haven't been eliminated; they've simply become harmless to the human body, and inhaling them even produces a faint herbal aroma.
Su Jinyan rarely smokes. He is a self-disciplined person and doesn't like to have too much of a smell on him.
Su Yu stood opposite him, his hands in the pockets of his white coat, a cigarette dangling from his lips. He stepped forward and leaned closer to Su Jinyan, "Can I borrow a light?"
Su Jinyan tilted her head uncomfortably. Su Yu lit a cigarette, took a step back, and clicked his tongue. "That matter, you did it?"
Su Jinyan paused in his smoking, looked at Su Yu, and asked, "What is it?"
Su Yu and Su Jinyan stared at each other. He leaned against the wall, his posture languid, and raised an eyebrow slightly. "Did you tamper with the thing I promised Xia Linyin?"
It is a question, but the meaning behind the sentence is more affirmative.
Su Jinyan narrowed his eyes. How did he answer in the last round of the game?
"Yes, that's right, I did it."
Su Jinyan lowered his head, gave a self-deprecating laugh, took a drag of his cigarette, exhaled the smoke, and replied in an unquestionable tone, "It wasn't me, it has nothing to do with me."
Su Yu's brows furrowed instantly. He stared at Su Jinyan suspiciously, his eyes flashing with an unfathomable light.
"Don't look at me like that. Your skills are not good enough, don't blame me. I've already taken the blame for you enough when you were a kid."
Su Jinyan spoke calmly, his handsome face composed, showing no signs of lying or what he was thinking.
Su Yu scoffed and said, "They don't want you, why are you still chasing after them?"
"They'll need it eventually," Su Jinyan said calmly, lowering her eyes and stubbing out her cigarette on the back of her hand.
An ugly mark suddenly appeared on her fair, jade-like skin. Although it was small, it was extremely noticeable on her flawless, beautiful hand.
Su Yu's eyelids twitched, and his tone became increasingly sarcastic, "You seem quite confident."
Su Jinyan didn't speak. He lowered his head slightly, and his tall figure looked somewhat lonely.
Su Yu stubbed out his cigarette, scratched his soft, light brown curly hair in frustration, and said, "Why bother?"
“I’ve been lonely for too long. I want to find someone to spend the rest of my life with. As for others…” Su Jinyan shook her head, “No way.”
“I think being alone is fine. We’ve been brothers for so many years, and we’ve all gotten by like this. If you’re willing, I’ll take care of you,” Su Yu said.
Su Jin smiled and said without holding back, "You can't even take care of yourself. You're an idiot when it comes to daily life. You even need a robot to help you with your clothes. I've been the one taking care of you since you were little."
"Fine, I can't argue with you." Su Yu raised his hands in a pleading gesture. After being both amused and annoyed for a while, he casually said, "Cook some dishes for me, I want to eat your cooking."
"Okay." Su Jinyan straightened up, took a step and left, his gaze subtly glancing in a certain direction before returning to his original position.
After the final battle, Xia Linyin was seriously injured in the fight with the insect beast, but she was not beyond saving. With her body's own healing ability and the medical team's superb treatment skills, she should be able to recover slowly soon.
However, Xia Linyin's health condition not only failed to recover but worsened; her face grew paler and her body became increasingly emaciated.
Her vitality is rapidly fading away, like a flower that is quickly withering away; no amount of water or fertilizer can save it from decay.
