Chapter 226 The Medicine Must Not Stop (Part 3)

"That's right, I'm looking for you. Don't you remember me at all?" Suppressing the stinging pain in her heart, Xia Linyin asked, "Can't you remember even the slightest thing?"

"Eyes, eyes are here, nose, nose is here, mouth, mouth is here, my little baby, come and kiss me, kiss my eyes, nose and mouth, oh! And my little ears~"

Xia Linyin pointed to her eyes, nose, and mouth while humming the song that Xiao Li loved to hear her sing. She walked up to Xiao Li and asked, "Do you still remember the name Xia Linyin? — Uhhhhh!"

The electric shock came so suddenly that Xia Linyin once again managed to roll her eyes in front of Xiao Li and twitch her limbs.

#My heart is so tired, I feel like I'll never love again.#

Damn it! The onset of her illness had arrived, and she thought she was a zombie again. Despite her inner resistance, Xia Linyin still growled and stretched out her arms towards Xiao Li.

With one hand raised, Xiao Li pressed down on the wire mesh covering Xia Linyin's mouth, using his height and long arms to block Xia Linyin's lunge and prevent her from getting close to him.

"Are you going to bite me?" Xiao Li tilted his head and asked, his pure and clear eyes looking so innocent. "Then how about I let you bite me?"

A faint smile appeared on his fair and handsome face. He raised his other hand, the sleeve of his hospital gown slipping down to reveal a section of his snow-white wrist, and brought it close to Xia Linyin's mouth, asking, "Want some?"

What's with this weird uncle trying to tempt kids with candy?!

Xiao Li, is it really okay for you to have such a perverse sense of humor?

With Xiao Li's palm pressed against the wire mesh covering her mouth, Xia Linyin had no choice but to pretend to want to bite but couldn't. She grabbed Xiao Li's outstretched arm, feeling the smooth and delicate touch of silk, but she didn't know if her touch reminded Xiao Li of anything. A trace of longing appeared in her clear black and white eyes.

After staring at Xia Linyin for a moment, perhaps misunderstanding the longing in Xia Linyin's eyes, Xiao Li parted her thin lips and uttered three words, "So pitiful."

His words were full of pity, but his gaze towards Xia Linyin held little emotion.

Suddenly, she reached behind Xia Linyin's head and untied the knot of the bandage. As the bandage loosened, Xiao Li removed the wire mesh cover from Xia Linyin's mouth.

Xia Linyin was stunned for a moment. Before she could react, Xiao Li had already brought his jade-like wrist to her lips and smiled, "Bite it."

This compassionate and fearless act is like the Buddha cutting off his own flesh to feed the eagle, if one ignores the chilling tenderness in his eyes.

That gentle gaze, tinged with a sinister glint, was like a pair of hands softly stroking the back of your neck, whispering, "Eat, eat, you can slaughter us once you're full."

Xia Linyin didn't want to bite, but the wire mesh covering her mouth had been removed, and she would be punished by the system if she didn't bite. She had no choice but to open her mouth and bite Xiao Li's arm before the electric shock came.

result--

"Ah—" The boy's high-pitched scream echoed down the corridor, as if he were in extreme pain.

Xia Linyin swore that she really didn't use much force; she just lightly bit Xiao Li's arm, probably without even leaving a faint tooth mark.

She only took a symbolic bite, gambling on the slightest possibility that she wouldn't be electrocuted if she managed to bite down. But she definitely couldn't bring herself to bite down hard like a zombie trying to tear off a piece of flesh.

Even when punished with repeated electric shocks, Xia Linyin would never actually bite down. She would feel bad if she bit too hard, let alone bite off a piece of flesh from Xiao Li.

Just as Xia Linyin sensed that punishment was about to befall her, she heard a furious roar behind her, "Let him go! Let him go right now!"

Several nurses rushed up from behind, roughly pulled Xia Linyin apart, pinned her to the ground, held down her limbs, and put the wire mesh back over her mouth.

Xia Linyin kept growling and struggling, opening her mouth as if to bite, until the wire mesh was put back over her mouth. Only then did she breathe a sigh of relief, after all, she didn't have the hobby of actually tearing a piece of flesh off a person.

After seeing that Xia Linyin's mouth had been covered with a wire mesh again, the dean, with a large belly and a receding hairline, slowly walked over with his hands behind his back.

He first glared sternly at Xia Linyin, whose hands and feet were being held down by the nurses, and let out a cold snort. Then he smiled kindly, his small eyes narrowing into slits as he looked at Xiao Li standing to the side and asked with great concern, "Are you alright?"

Standing timidly to the side, Xiao Li looked like a little white rabbit who had been cruelly harmed. Her innocent, frightened eyes, like those of a newborn fawn, held a hint of unease that tugged at the heartstrings, making her look pitiful. She was, in fact, the big bad wolf who had cruelly harmed the little white rabbit, both despicable and hateful.

What a big white lotus flower, the kind that's white on the outside but black on the inside. Seeing this, Xia Linyin understood perfectly. She felt both angry and amused. This guy was utterly wicked, incredibly cunning.

He probably did this to retaliate against her for disturbing his reading earlier by pouncing on him and biting him, or perhaps to get rid of this annoying "fly." He saw that she was looking for him and seemed to want to continue biting him, so he wanted to punish her and nip this threat in the bud.

But no matter how dark-skinned or dramatic this guy is, he's still my husband, so what can I do?

As if afraid that speaking too loudly would frighten the delicate, porcelain-doll-like boy, the dean licked his thick lips, extended his palm toward Xiao Li, and said in an extremely gentle yet coaxing tone, "Come, let me see your hand, is there any bite mark?"

Taking a step back, Xiao Li avoided the dean's outstretched hand.

His fingers grasped at empty air, and the dean's face turned ugly for a moment, but he quickly regained his composure, rubbed his hands together to ease the embarrassment, chuckled a few times, and his fat jiggled a few times.

Turning to look at Xia Linyin, the dean's eyes turned stern again. He glared at Xia Linyin with disgust, having no liking for this biting madwoman. He waved his hand impatiently, "Lock her up. If she bites anyone again, give her a sedative, and increase the dosage!"

"Yes, Dean!" Upon hearing the dean's words, the nurses dragged Xia Linyin away in a manner that was far from gentle.

With a loud bang, the faded door to the old things room slammed shut, and Xia Linyin pounded on the door, letting out a roar.

Hearing the nurse's footsteps fade into the distance, Xia Linyin stopped banging on the door.
