The next morning, Lin Han was woken up by her maid.
"Princess, His Majesty has sent someone to inform you that there will be a banquet tonight to welcome the Western Regions royal family, and you are invited to attend," the maid said respectfully.
Lin Han gave a casual reply and then went back to sleep.
She didn't get out of bed until Wei Yucheng arrived.
"You've arrived exceptionally early today," Lin Han said to Wei Yuchen, her face devoid of makeup, her entire being radiating resentment.
"Alright, stop joking. I was just ordered by the Emperor to supervise your activities for the day," Wei Yuchen said, toying with the book in his hand.
"Okay, then let me go back to sleep for a while, okay?" Lin Han said, forcing herself to stay awake.
"That won't do. You have to get up now. I'll give you half an hour. I'll wait for you in the courtyard." Wei Yuchen said firmly as he watched Lin Han refuse without even thinking.
"Waaaaah, why waste precious rest time outside of bed?" Lin Han wailed.
But Wei Yucheng left without turning his head.
Lin Han didn't dare to continue sleeping, because Wei Yuchen might come up with some new tricks to mess with her, so she obediently went back to change her clothes.
She came out again exactly half an hour later, right at the last minute.
"Alright, let's go." Lin Han said, looking at Wei Yuchen outside.

"Why did the Emperor send me here? Isn't this Lin Heng's mission?" Lin Han asked Xiao Meng, trying to suppress her discomfort, after noticing that Simon's view was blocked.
"It was originally Lin Heng who was chosen, but he said you like to have fun, and this is a good opportunity to go out and have fun openly, so it would be better if you were chosen."
