Chapter 50 The Arrogant Princess VS The Hostage Prince of the Enemy Country (13)

"Father, I believe that it is my elder brother who should be in charge of meeting the prince of the Western Regions. I will not go and join in the fun." Lin Han hurriedly went to find the emperor after getting rid of Simon.

Upon hearing this, the emperor asked in confusion, "Doesn't Han'er usually love going out to play? Why doesn't she want to go now?"

"Father, this is different. Traveling with the prince of the Western Regions is different from traveling alone. I still want my elder brother to go," Lin Han said to the emperor in a coquettish tone.

"Alright, then you can come up with a convincing reason yourself, and your brother will go this afternoon." Seeing that Lin Han really didn't want to go, the emperor didn't force her and just let her think of a reason herself.

Upon hearing this, Lin Han beamed with joy, quickly thanked the emperor, and ran outside.

Then, around noon, the news spread throughout the palace that the Third Princess had fallen into the water, caught a cold after being rescued, and was bedridden.

"Heng'er, did you hear that? Your imperial sister is bedridden. You will lead the tour this afternoon," the emperor said to Lin Heng below.

"Yes, Your Majesty, I understand," Lin Heng replied.

After Lin Heng left the Imperial Study, he listened to the detailed and seemingly plausible news relayed by the servants, smiled, and then walked outside.

However, Lin Han was not faking illness as Lin Heng had thought; she was genuinely ill.

"Cough cough cough!"

"Princess, it's time for your medicine." Hearing Lin Han's heart-wrenching cough, the maid brought the freshly brewed medicine to Lin Han.

Lin Han looked at the dark, bitter-smelling medicine in the bowl with a face full of resistance.

"Take it away, take it away, I don't want to drink it."

"Take it away, I don't want to drink it!"

Seeing that the maid was not moving, Lin Han urged her to leave again.

Despite Lin Han's repeated urging, the maidservant still took the medicine and left.

She ran into Wei Yuchen as soon as she went out.

"Does the princess refuse to drink her medicine?" Wei Yucheng knew Lin Han was unwilling to drink it just by looking at the medicine bowl in the maid's hand.

"Yes, sir," the maid replied respectfully.

"Give it to me, I'll go see it myself," Wei Yuchen said, extending his hand to the maid.

The maid quickly handed the medicine bowl to Wei Yuchen and then took her leave.

Wei Yucheng then carried the bowl of medicine into Lin Han's room.

"Why are you here again? I told you I won't drink! Don't you understand? Get out of here! Cough cough cough!" Lin Han was resting with her eyes closed when she suddenly smelled the familiar medicinal scent again and immediately said.

"Drink the medicine," Wei Yucheng said, looking at Lin Han, who was sitting on the bed with a pale face.

Upon hearing the familiar voice, Lin Han opened her eyes and looked outside the door. Sure enough, it was Wei Yuchen carrying the medicine.

"I don't want to drink it," Lin Han said, looking quite pitiful.

“Then you shouldn’t have jumped into the pool.” Wei Yuchen retorted to Lin Han without any politeness.

Lin Han felt awkward when this was mentioned.

Her original intention was that since she could swim anyway and it wasn't cold, it would be perfect to accidentally fall into the water and then pretend to be sick.

Then she jumped down and slowly swam to the shore before shouting for help to her maid.

Then they rescued him.

The problem was, she hadn't expected this body to be so weak. She had only fallen into the water and was fine when she came out, but after taking a shower back in her room, she started coughing.

Later on, I started to have a low-grade fever.

"I didn't expect to get sick, and I didn't want to," Lin Han said in a very unnatural tone.

Wei Yucheng didn't care whether she really wanted to be sick or not, and walked towards her with the medicine bowl in his hand.
