Chapter 58 The Arrogant Princess VS The Hostage Prince of the Enemy Country (21)

Lin Han woke up in the early morning on Wei Yuchen's body.

She was completely stunned when she opened her eyes and saw Wei Yuchen's exquisite jawline.

"Help! Wasn't I quite far from him before I went to sleep? What's going on?" Lin Han was too scared to move and could only frantically poke at Xiao Meng in her spatial dimension.

"Would you like me to show you how you actually sleep at night?"

Looking at the screen showing Lin Han clinging to Wei Yuchen like an octopus, Xiao Meng thoughtfully offered to recount the events to Lin Han.

Before Lin Han could refuse, she saw herself tossing and turning in her sleep, gradually moving to Wei Yucheng's side.

She even woke him up, then Wei Yuchen pushed herself to the innermost part of the bed, covered herself with the blanket, and went back to sleep.

Then it was an endless repetition. Lin Han kept getting closer to Wei Yuchen, and eventually Wei Yuchen stopped pushing him away and just let Lin Han hug him.

"Help! Is there a crack in the ground? I want to crawl into it." After watching the whole process of her "migration", Lin Han felt very embarrassed.

Not knowing how to face Wei Yuchen, Lin Han decided to continue sleeping. As long as she fell asleep, she could forget what was happening.

Unfortunately, Wei Yucheng woke up before Lin Han and had already noticed it when Lin Han woke up, but he didn't say anything, just wanted to see how Lin Han would react.

Seeing that she closed her eyes again, he smiled and said softly, "My princess, are you throwing yourself into my arms?"

"Nonsense, I didn't!" Lin Han immediately sat up and said to Wei Yuchen as soon as she heard his voice.

Wei Yuchen didn't reply to her, but just looked at Lin Han's small hands resting on her chest with a teasing expression.

Lin Han then withdrew her hand as if she had been electrocuted, and quickly got off Wei Yucheng.

"Um, well..." Lin Han looked at Wei Yuchen's face, wanting to say something to ease the awkward atmosphere, but didn't know what to say.

"It's alright, I don't mind if Your Highness continues to throw yourself into my arms."

"Wei Yucheng! How come I never noticed how flamboyant you were before?"

Lin Han's face grew even hotter as Wei Yuchen's words made her feel like her face was burning up.

Seeing that he had teased her enough, Wei Yuchen stopped teasing Lin Han and said to her with a normal expression, "Alright, alright, I won't tease you anymore. You can go out now, I'll be there in a bit."

Lin Han quickly stepped off him and went outside to calm down. Inside, Wei Yuchen finally saw Lin Han's embarrassed state and his eyes were full of smiles.

Soon, after finishing their meal, Lin Han and the others left behind the few remaining silver ingots and took their leave.

As they walked into the town, Lin Han saw soldiers posting portraits of him everywhere. Only after confirming that he recognized some of the faces in the portraits did he dare to approach with Wei Yucheng.

Upon seeing Lin Han, the head guard was visibly excited and immediately dismounted to pay his respects.

"Princess, it's so good to see you're alright. His Majesty is very worried about you. Please come back with me," the head guard said respectfully to Lin Han.

Lin Han nodded indifferently, and then took Wei Yucheng into the carriage they had temporarily hired, heading towards the palace.

Just as Lin Han returned to her palace and told Wei Yuchen to go and rest, the emperor had already rushed over from the imperial study.

"Han'er! Where have you been! Do you know how worried I was about you?" The emperor said excitedly as he looked at Lin Han, who had finally returned safely.

"Father, I'm sorry, I made you worry." Lin Han quickly admitted his mistake.

"Fine, fine, it's not your fault anyway. You're not allowed to participate in these kinds of activities anymore, do you hear me?" the emperor said sternly to Lin Han.

Lin Han could only agree, feeling regretful but helpless, as she had encountered assassins on her very first autumn hunt.

The emperor spoke a few more words of concern to Lin Han before leaving.

After the emperor left, Lin Han looked at Wei Yuchen with a sorrowful expression.

Although Wei Yucheng felt sorry for Lin Han, he thought that if he were in her shoes, he would have done the same. It was just that Lin Han's identity was too conspicuous.

"Alright, alright, it's just an autumn hunt, right? I'll take you there sometime." Wei Yuchen said, looking at Lin Han, who had completely lost her spirit.

After hearing Wei Yuchen's words, Lin Han felt a surge of energy again. She urged him to go back and rest, and then went back to her room to catch up on sleep.
