Chapter 128 The Overbearing CEO's Pampered Love for a Fallen Rich Girl (13)

Feng An briefly recounted the process of Cen Lan testing her at the time.

Because she was just a little girl at the time, Cen Lan didn't ask her any harsh questions.

They simply asked her to sit down in the room, and then invited another middle-aged woman over. The two of them slowly asked her questions. At first, they asked about the information that had already been filled in on the registration form, such as who she was, where she came from, whether she had attended school, and where she attended school.

After verifying the basic information, the middle-aged woman suggested playing a simple game with her.

When a middle-aged woman says a word, Feng An immediately has to say another word that comes to mind when she hears it.

Feng An naturally accepted the game's invitation.

The woman spoke of the land, the wind spoke of the grass. The woman spoke of the grass, the wind spoke of concealment. The woman spoke of concealment, the wind spoke of attack.

The woman spoke to the man.

The case involves murder.

Then both adults smiled.

They all had cheerful smiles on their faces. They slipped Feng An two candies and moved on to the next stage of the test. But the later stages were nothing more than showing her photos of men with different styles and asking her what she thought.

Feng An said, "I want to kill them."

Feng An calmly described the words of the past in a modern tone, as if the voice of the little Feng An had merged with the voice of the grown-up Feng An.

The mugwort nodded.

She added the requirement of "having murderous intent towards men" to the screening—or rather, "interview" process.

After seeing that she had finished typing, Feng An continued, "Then I became Miss's bodyguard, and from then on I went to and from school with Miss."

Ai Cao asked, "Didn't Cen Lan suspect that you would lie to her?"

Feng An shook his head: "At that time, I was short of money and in debt. By becoming the young lady's bodyguard, I had the money to pay off my debts. I had no reason to lie to you, Madam."

"Debt?" Ai Cao asked.

“I said before that I abducted a man,” Feng said. “It wasn’t for free; I need to pay compensation.”

“I remember something similar happened recently,” Ai Cao quickly searched. “She lost 200.”

“I needed to pay for a box of eggs,” Feng said. “But I had no money and no way to buy eggs. So I took the money my wife gave me to apologize, and killed him while I was at it. I threw his body into the river to feed the fish.”

Ai Cao nodded and added the following to the document: "[Capable of killing alone]".

The system cried out in a terrified voice: "Are you a kidnapper?!"

Artemisia said, "Yes, it's not like you've only known me for a short time."

She calmly continued typing, writing things like "[Physical condition is normal in all aspects]" and "[I like to eat]".

The system couldn't stand it anymore, so it sent her a document that it had secretly drafted itself.

Even after Ai Cao finished reading the document, her hands continued typing the additions she wanted to make.

Feng An said, "Is there anything else you want to ask?"

Ai Cao shook her head. Her smartphone emitted a soft beep, reminding her that it was time to wake Cen Yu.

Feng An stood up on his own initiative, walked quickly to Cen Yu's side, and gently patted her shoulder twice.

Cen Yu sat up with a start from her dream.

She stared blankly at the desk, pulled the blanket around herself tighter, and asked, "How long have I been asleep?"

“Ten minutes,” Feng An said. She took two cups from a cabinet next to the room and shook the tea box inside. There wasn’t much tea left in the box—Cen Yu had been drinking strong tea to stay awake these past two days.

As for coffee, all that was left were a few packets of barely any homemade coffee powder.

Feng asked, "Would the young lady and the guest like something to drink?"

Cen Yu weakly reached out her hand: "I want an iced Americano."

Ai Cao thought for a moment and said, "I just need a cup of warm water."

Feng An nodded. She took the cup and went out to find a barista to make coffee.

Cen Yu's lingering drowsiness vanished completely after Feng An left the house. Wrapped in that light brown short-pile blanket, she looked like a silkworm wrapped in a pupa, yet as strong as a bear, and hopped and skipped to the side of the mugwort.

Ai Cao reached out and helped her sit down.

Cen Yu first observed what Ai Cao had added to the proposal during the ten minutes she had slept. Everything was fine until she saw the phrase "has murderous intent towards men," at which point she finally couldn't help but ask, "What is this?"

Ai Cao gestured for her to look down first.

Cen Yu looked down with a face full of suspicion.

There wasn't much information about the mugwort supplement, and Cen Yu automatically deleted anything in her mind that was obviously just something she added for fun, quickly piecing together the cause and effect of the matter in her mind.

Cen Yu asked, "Did Feng tell you about her past?"

The mugwort nodded.

Cen Yu thought for a moment and highlighted these conditions: "We need to think about these more. We can't just show them to Mom like this."

Ai Cao tilted her head. Although she didn't understand why she couldn't show it to Cen Lan directly, she always respected the female lead's choice.

“Let’s talk then,” said Ai Cao.

When Feng entered with a glass of warm water and a glass of iced Americano, the tension between the two had already escalated—from a verbal argument to a physical confrontation.

Taking advantage of her strength, Ai Cao used one hand to keep Cen Yu out of reach of the keyboard. Cen Yu, who was haphazardly draped in a blanket, tried to grab Ai Cao's hair, but Ai Cao's hair was short, so even if she could grab it, she couldn't exert much force.

Cen Yu only tried twice before turning her attention to Ai Cao's shoulders and neck.

But first, she had to break through the barriers imposed on her by Ai Cao based on her height and arm length.

Cen Yu was so angry that she lowered her head and bit the mugwort to stop her hand.
