Xia Moli opened the keypad door.
Inside is a straight, suspended passageway.
At its end was an open metal door, decorated with sparkling minerals like stars, but without any latches.
Below it lies a bottomless abyss.
Ai Cao tried to put the chip in her pocket, but when she touched her hospital gown, she couldn't find a single pocket.
“There are only two women left in the world,” Ai Cao said. “Making a deeper pocket in their clothes is like taking their lives.”
Xia Moli smiled.
Several men wearing metal abs suits walked out from the metal door.
Xia Moli waved her hands. Her mental power was so strong that she could control external objects, and those people fell down the passage one after another, like dumplings being dropped into a pot.
Holding the chip, Ai Cao followed Xia Moli into the metal hatch.
Upon entering the cabin, one is led into a spacious room resembling a living room. In the center of the room sits a wooden table, not made of metal, with a wilted little flower on it.
The system exclaimed, "Wow, they're really rich! They can still afford to spend money in this day and age."
The map of this area was transmitted into her mind.
"Have you finished scanning the map? Have you finished scanning the chips you just picked up?" Ai Cao urged.
"Are you treating me like a laborer?" The system got angry for a second, then backed down. "I just finished scanning the outer layer, but I can't get into the inner layer. This chip should be connected to the internal network—anyone with C-level mental strength can use it."
“Oh, Xia Moli can use it,” Ai Cao said.
Mental strength decreases in the order S, A, B, C, D, and she didn't even have the C-level mental strength of an ordinary person. When she was first bound to the system, the system was puzzled by her mere D-level mental strength.
But right now, the chip issue isn't urgent.
Ai Cao, along with Xia Moli, kicked open the cockpit of the warship.
There were four robots in the cockpit, and a person wearing a metal abs shell who was dozing off.
Ai Cao knocked the man unconscious with two blows while holding a gun, then looked at the robots.
These robots are almost entirely made of metal, and they have three heads and six arms. Three of the robots process information from three different sides, while the remaining one charges at the side.
They seemed completely oblivious to the two intruders.
Xia Moli closed her eyes. She opened her arms and murmured, "I need the highest level of access."
Her 5s—or perhaps upgraded—psychic power enveloped the entire cockpit. This powerful psychic power breached the robots' defenses; a faint light flashed in their eyes, and several similar sounds of a successful reboot echoed from the cockpit.
Xia Moli forcibly modified their underlying commands using her mental power.
"Highest privileges have been granted. Welcome back, Master." The robot, which was charging, left the charging station and bowed its head to Xia Moli.
"Open the map and show me the nearby jump points," Xia Moli commanded the robot. "Close and lock all entrances and exits into the warship."
A glint flashed in the robots' eyes. They swiftly carried out her commands. Hatch doors closed and locked, turning the entire warship into an impregnable fortress.
Ai Cao suddenly asked the system, "What are the prerequisites for that menstrual cycle skill?"
"No, whoever you see, you can make them menstruate," the system said proudly. "It doesn't matter if you don't see them, as long as you've touched them or there's a clear indication of who they are."
How many people can it be used for at once?
"...It's ten a day now." The system said guiltily, "When you get more powerful, you can do ten thousand at a time without any problem."
Ai Cao said "I understand," blocked the system from asking her any further questions, and went to help Xia Moli dispose of the body.
Xia Moli multitasked, looking at the map the robot had opened while throwing corpses into the crematorium.
The crematorium here is also very much in line with the interstellar setting, burning the corpse along with its outer shell, quickly and efficiently. Whether it's bones or metal, everything is burned to ash, which automatically gathers together to serve as fertilizer.
“I’ve memorized the map.” Xia Moli pointed to the dot on the map. “We can use this jump point to go to a star system that isn’t controlled by the Empire. Let’s escape first and then plan what to do next.”
Artemisia did not object to her decision.
She pulled the chip out, wiped it on her clothes, and handed it to Xia Moli: "Take a look at this."
Xia Moli and the robot determined the current target location and then took the chip.
Her expression hardened: "This is..."
"I'm not quite sure how to explain it," Ai Cao said honestly. "Take a look."
Xia Moli nodded and ran her hand over the chip. The chip embedded itself in her palm, emitting a faint blue light, like a new electronic pet that Xia Moli had adopted.
Xia Moli showed her her palm: "I just hacked its security system, and now I can connect to the network through this." She paused, her expression less excited and more annoyed.
"The star cluster leader is approaching."
The warship is still in the startup phase. Although it is only a small warship, it still requires multiple preparatory procedures to start up before ignition can begin.
Even if that star cluster commander is incredibly powerful, he couldn't possibly barge into the warship on his own. Xia Moli thought.
She had great confidence in her mental strength and the defensive capabilities of her warship.
Ai Cao looked out the window. She had originally intended to let the male lead go for now, but since he was in such a hurry, it wouldn't be good for her to refuse again.
Let's use him as the surgeon.
"I'll go take a look."
Xia Moli nodded: "I'll go with you."
They maintained a tacit understanding of mutual trust.
At the stern of the warship is a terrace enclosed by railings. However, perhaps so that the warship's owner can enjoy the starry sky at any time, it also has the warship's protective system.
Ai Cao leaned against the railing and looked down.
