Chapter 5 The Last Girl in the Entire Universe (5)

Ai Cao opened her eyes and felt as if someone had given her a good beating on the head.

She propped herself up, and felt as if she had been beaten all over.

Artemisia sighed and let herself fall back onto the table.

She drank too much last night and apparently even threw the robot that came to deliver hangover medicine out of the room—no, I can't think anymore, my head hurts so much.

Xia Moli peeked out from outside the restaurant with a smile: "You're awake? We'll be there in ten minutes."

Ai Cao opened her mouth, as if to reply, "I know." But the moment she opened her mouth, something that had been dormant in her stomach all night began to churn.

I feel like throwing up.

The system thoughtfully replied, "It's alright, it's already quite impressive that you're still conscious after a hangover."

Artemisia: "...You don't have the function of preventing drunkenness?"

System: "I'm just a small system, of course I don't have that kind of function."

Ai Cao really wanted to give it the middle finger, but she didn't have the strength or the ability to give the finger to a system that had no physical form.

I'm so annoyed.

Xia Moli walked over briskly: "Do you need a basin?"

The mugwort struggled to move its head up and down.

Xia Moli laughed: "You smashed the robot's leg, so no robot will bring you a basin anymore. You'll have to go to the bathroom yourself."

The mugwort chose to continue playing dead.

"Just kidding, come on, open your mouth." Xia Moli laughed again. She smiled and put a hangover pill near Ai Cao's mouth, "It's okay if you don't have the strength to swallow, you can absorb it by holding it in your mouth."

Ai Cao obediently took the hangover medicine.

The gentle, warm liquid melted in her mouth. Every cell that had previously smelled of alcohol was washed away and soothed by the liquid.

In just a few breaths, Ai Cao was completely sober. She sat up and saw the restaurant robot behind Xia Moli, with only half of its eye peeking out.

The restaurant robot no longer has a tray in its hands, but it doesn't appear to be missing any body parts.

Xia Moli laughed: "You were too rough with it yesterday. It wrote 'stay at least three meters away from you' into the rules. Do you want to change that?"

Ai Cao shook her head: "Three meters is fine too."

She reached for the towel in the robot's hand. As she reached out, the robot moved backward.

“…Let’s change it.” Ai Cao sighed. “Thank you for your hard work.”

Xia Moli laughed: "Compared to being 'Eve' and having your stomach cut open live across the entire galaxy, modifying a robot's programming is not hard at all."

"Live-streaming a dissection?" Ai Cao asked.

Xia Moli placed her hand on the robot's head, closed her eyes, and replied, "I heard that the Star Cluster Commander—the former Star Cluster Commander—is about to have his abdomen cut open. The surgery is being performed by his former adjutant, now the new Star Cluster Commander."

Ai Cao nodded: "Hopefully they can get a clear answer from the dissection."

But it's impossible to dissect it thoroughly. Ai Cao thought.

Her "menstrual" skill involves creating a uterus inside a man's body that can accommodate a baby. Of course, the uterus at this stage is not yet capable of conception—

Although conception can be achieved later, the embryo will still develop uncontrollably inside the man's body due to some complex factors.

Ai Cao only heard a couple of sentences from the system; she would only know the details once she activated that skill.

A flat, mechanical voice rang out from inside the warship: "Arrived at the designated coordinates. Please proceed to the control room to issue the next command."

"I'll use Nana's voice system first."

"Xia Moli said. She opened her eyes and released her hand from the robot."

The restaurant robot's eyes flickered a few times, then it bowed respectfully to her before approaching Ai Cao: "Would you like breakfast?"

Ai Cao immediately closed the pop-up menu: "We'll eat when we get back." She eagerly twirled her wrist, "Shall we go rob... no, fight?"

Xia Moli laughed: "Let's go get our own AI."

This was originally a small warship used by the male protagonist daily. In the original world, the male protagonist used this warship to travel around the star system with the female protagonist, enjoying their romance.

Now that they're using their warships for fighting, they're making the best use of them.

Xia Moli and Ai Cao entered the control room.

Xia Moli adjusted the transparency of all the windows in the control room to be transparent.

From the control room, they could see a small planet covered in metal, but from a distance, it looked like a group of ordinary meteorites.

Xia Moli zoomed in on the picture on the screen: "It's hidden inside these meteorites."

Ai Cao ruffled the gun she had just pulled from the armory: "There are quite a few meteorites. At this distance—it seems like the guns can't possibly destroy them, right?"

“This warship can perform basic inspections.” Xia Moli controlled the robot. “Since it’s going to house the core AI base station, it definitely can’t be penetrated by external electromagnetic interference… I’ll turn on a visualization, take a look.”

As Xia Moli operated the controls, the image on the control room window changed slightly. It was as if a layer of translucent red had been applied to it—most of the meteorites showed no reaction, only a few meteorites did not have the red color.

It's as if these meteorites have been highlighted and displayed.

Xia Moli smiled and touched her chin: "I already tested it before you woke up." She held up her index finger, "It takes ten minutes to fully test a meteorite this size."

"So fast."

"It's alright." Xia Moli proudly raised her chin. "If my mental strength were a bit stronger, I could probably shorten the time even more."

The mugwort clapped in agreement.

“I also need your help.” Xia Moli put away her proud expression and said seriously, “I can only determine which meteorite the base station is in and control the warship to destroy the rest of the meteorites—but this warship cannot remove the base station.”

"So, I hope you can help me attach this—the consciousness transmission data chip—to the base station."

Xia Moli took out a device that looked like a USB flash drive. She broke it open to show Ai Cao the electrostatic adhesive sticker inside, then closed it and handed it to her.

Ai Cao touched the gun: "Don't we need to fight?"

“There might be defense robots, then there will be fighting,” Xia Moli said. “Besides, you need to get inside that meteorite to stick this on.”

Ai Cao nodded: "Understood."

Xia Moli gave her a few more instructions and then put an in-ear monitor in her ear.

She watched as Ai Cao left the control room.

Ai Cao went to the hatch alone. With the help of the robot, she put on an oxygen mask and then felt the warship shake.

The warship trembled slightly.

She looked out the window.

Dark, gaping cannon muzzles emerged from the warship's hull. Brilliant bursts of light erupted from the cannons.

The meteorite cluster was shattered by the artillery shell. Now, only one meteorite remained in her field of vision.

Xia Moli's voice came through the in-ear monitor: "Please, be careful."

Ai Cao glanced at her [Menstrual Period] skill, which still had plenty of slots left, and then patted her strong biceps: "Leave it to me."

She fastened her jetpack and left the warship.

She entered the starry sky.
