Chapter 27 Broken Youth 17

The villa's front door was suddenly kicked open, the deafening crash jarring the quiet night like a thunderclap exploding in the living room. The sound struck Su Ran and Lin Yue like a hammer blow, causing their hearts to clench. The tranquility of the night was instantly shattered, and a tense atmosphere spread rapidly through the air like thick ink.

Su Ran and Lin Yue were startled, their bodies trembling uncontrollably. Their eyes were filled with panic, a fear that came from the depths of their hearts. They turned around abruptly and saw a tall figure standing in the doorway like a ghost. In the dim light, the figure appeared mysterious and terrifying, its powerful aura like an invisible mountain, pressing down on them as if they were suffocating.

"Who?!" Although Su Ran's voice trembled slightly, he tried his best to appear tough, attempting to conceal his inner fear. However, his slightly trembling voice mercilessly exposed his terror.

The person at the door slowly entered the living room. Her steps were light, yet they carried an immense weight. Each step felt like a heavy blow to Su Ran and Lin Yue's hearts, making them pound even faster, as if their hearts were about to leap out of their throats. In the dim light, Su Ran and Lin Yue finally recognized the person—it was Lin Qian! Their eyes widened instantly, their faces filled with disbelief, as if they had seen a ghost.

"Lin...Lin Qian?!" Su Ran's voice was shrill and piercing with terror, echoing in the empty living room, tinged with despair. He never expected that Lin Qian, the girl they had bullied at school, would appear here.

Lin Qian stared coldly at Su Ran and Lin Yue, her gaze seemingly piercing their souls and unearthing their deepest fears. Her eyes held no emotion, only endless coldness and hatred. She approached them step by step, each step filled with determination and resolve. Her posture was upright, radiating an undeniable aura of power, as if she were the ruler of this world, and Su Ran and Lin Yue were merely insignificant ants beneath her feet.

"Su Ran, Lin Yue, long time no see." Lin Qian's voice was icy cold, devoid of any warmth, as if it came from the deepest depths of hell. Her voice echoed in the living room, making Su Ran and Lin Yue feel as if they had fallen into an ice cellar, their bodies turning cold.

"You...how could you..." Su Ran stammered, his mind a complete mess, utterly unable to comprehend the situation before him. He had thought Lin Qian would be crushed by their violence and disappear from their lives forever, but now she appeared before him unharmed. This cruel reality was unbearable for him; his world collapsed completely at that moment.

"Hmph, do you think you can get away with all your evil deeds?" Lin Qian sneered, her eyes filled with mockery and disdain. She looked at Su Ran and Lin Yue as if they were two ridiculous clowns performing a clumsy drama. "From the moment you started bullying me, you should have known this day would come."

"What...what do you want to do? I'm warning you, we're not afraid of you!" Su Ran threatened, his voice trembling but betraying his inner fear. He tried to mask his unease with a tough attitude, but all of this seemed so pale and powerless in front of Lin Qian.

"Not afraid of me?" Lin Qian looked at them mockingly, a cold smile playing on her lips. "We'll see."

Lin Yue was now deathly pale with fright, her body trembling uncontrollably, her eyes filled with terror. "Lin Qian, that's all in the past, please let us go!" she pleaded, her voice trembling with sobs, trying to beg Lin Qian for forgiveness.

"The past?" Lin Qian glared at them, her eyes filled with anger and pain. "I will never forget the harm you caused me! Those days, I lived in fear and pain every single day, while you stood by, laughing triumphantly. Did you think time could erase everything? Impossible!"

Lin Qian's voice became somewhat hoarse with excitement, and every word she spoke was like a sharp sword, piercing straight into the hearts of Su Ran and Lin Yue.

"Lin Qian, this was all Su Ran's idea. I was forced into it!" Lin Yue tried to shift all the blame onto Su Ran in order to ensure her own safety.

"Lin Yue, do you think you can escape responsibility like this?" Lin Qian looked at her coldly. "You two are both culprits, and neither of you will get away with it!"

Su Ran felt a deep fear, but he still tried to maintain his last shred of dignity. "Lin Qian, don't think you can scare us like this. The Su family is not to be trifled with!"

"The Su family?" Lin Qian smiled disdainfully. "So what? Today, I will make you pay the price for your actions!"

As she spoke, Lin Qian suddenly took a step forward and grabbed Su Ran's collar. Su Ran was startled by her action and tried to struggle but found that she could not move at all.

"Let me go!" Su Ran cried out in terror.

Lin Qian ignored his struggles and slapped him hard across the face. "This is just the beginning!"

A clear handprint immediately appeared on Su Ran's face. He covered his face, his eyes filled with humiliation and anger.

"Lin Qian, I know I was wrong, please let me go!" Su Ran finally couldn't hold back and began to beg for mercy. His voice was filled with despair and fear; he had completely lost his former pride and confidence.

"You know you were wrong now? Too late!" Lin Qian said fiercely.

Lin Qian turned her gaze to Lin Yue, who was so frightened that she quickly retreated until she was backed into a corner with nowhere left to go.
