Chapter 27 Broken Youth 17

"Lin Yue, don't even think about running away!" Lin Qian approached Lin Yue step by step.

Lin Yue trembled all over, tears streaming down her face. "Lin Qian, I really know I was wrong, please forgive me!"

Lin Qian showed no pity; she raised her hand and slapped Lin Yue across the face. "This is what you deserve!"

The atmosphere in the living room grew even more tense and oppressive, and Su Ran and Lin Yue were plunged into deep fear and despair. They knew that Lin Qian would not let them off easily, and they would pay a heavy price for their actions.

After Lin Qian left, a suffocating atmosphere filled the living room. Su Ran and Lin Yue, like deflated balloons, slumped back onto the sofa, their faces pale and their eyes filled with fear and unease.

Su Ran's body was still trembling slightly, his heart still pounding, as if Lin Qian's cold gaze and resolute words were still echoing in his mind. "What should we do? Lin Qian won't let this go, what should we do?" he murmured to himself, a hint of despair in his voice.

Tears welled in Lin Yue's eyes, her hands gripping the sofa armrests tightly, her knuckles turning white from the force. "I'm so scared, Su Ran, we can't call the police, Lin Qian will definitely retaliate against us." Her voice trembled, filled with fear.

“Call the police? That will only make things worse.” Su Ran gritted her teeth. “Lin Qian has so much dirt on us. If we call the police, we might find ourselves in an even more terrible situation.”

The living room felt unusually deserted at this moment, the dim lighting creating an eerie atmosphere. The wind howled outside the window, whipping the curtains, as if mocking their disheveled state.

Su Ran scratched his hair in frustration. "It's all my fault. I shouldn't have treated Lin Qian that way back then. Now I'm getting my comeuppance." His eyes were filled with remorse.

Lin Yue sobbed, "What's the use of saying all this now? We need to find a way to solve this problem."

"What can we do?" Su Ran sighed helplessly. "Lin Qian is no longer someone we can handle."

The two fell silent, the only sounds in the living room being their heavy breathing and the wind outside the window. They knew that their fate seemed to be firmly in Lin Qian's hands, and they were powerless to change it.
