The next day, after hearing from Li Ergou that Su Yao had asked him for help and given him twenty yuan, Wang Qiang's displeasure grew stronger. Su Yao hadn't asked him for help this time, which filled him with a mix of doubt and anger.
"What on earth is Su Yao up to? Why doesn't she come to me when she needs something? Did she go to someone else?" Wang Qiang muttered to himself as he walked along the village path. His face was terribly gloomy, and the anger in his heart was like a volcano about to erupt, ready to explode at any moment. "I've done so much for her, and she just leaves me hanging this time. Does she really think I'm easy to bully!"
Lost in thought, Wang Qiang stormed towards Su Yao's residence. His steps were heavy and hurried, as if carrying boundless anger. His furrowed brows and clenched teeth betrayed his terrible mood. Seeing him like this, the surrounding villagers quickly gave him a wide berth, afraid of getting into trouble.
As Wang Qiang walked, he saw a little child playing by the roadside. His eyes lit up, and an idea struck him. Wang Qiang took a piece of candy from his pocket, walked up to the child, forced a smile, and said, "Little friend, can you do me a favor?" The child was a little scared by Wang Qiang's fierce appearance, but was also attracted by the candy, and hesitantly nodded. Wang Qiang handed the candy to the child, saying, "Go and call Sister Su Yao out. Tell her someone is looking for her. Go quickly and come back soon, and this candy is yours." The child took the candy and ran towards Su Yao's house.
Wang Qiang stood there, waiting impatiently. He kept stamping his feet and muttering, "That Su Yao, she'll be in for a beating soon!" After a while, the child ran back and said, "Sister Su Yao said she'll be out soon." Wang Qiang snorted, his anger growing even stronger.
A moment later, Su Yao came out of her residence. Seeing Wang Qiang's angry expression, her heart skipped a beat; she had a bad feeling. As soon as Wang Qiang saw Su Yao, he immediately stepped forward and said fiercely, "Su Yao, what do you mean? Why didn't you come to me this time? I've always treated you like a god of wealth, handling everything for you perfectly. And you, instead of coming to me when you need help, go to someone else. What do you take me for?"
Su Yao's heart skipped a beat when Wang Qiang suddenly appeared and questioned her. She knew that she hadn't asked Wang Qiang for help this time. She thought she could resolve the matter without anyone noticing, but she didn't expect that Wang Qiang would still find out.
"Wang Qiang, don't get agitated. I do have my own considerations for this matter." Su Yao tried to calm Wang Qiang down, but her voice still unconsciously revealed a hint of panic.
"You have your considerations? What about my benefits?" Wang Qiang ignored Su Yao's explanation. His eyes widened like saucers as he said fiercely, "I've done so much for you. Even if I haven't done anything great, I've still put in the effort! Now you're just abandoning me without a word. Are you trying to kick me while I'm down? Let me tell you, it's not that easy!" Wang Qiang was filled with anger and resentment. He felt that Su Yao had slighted him, which he couldn't tolerate.
Su Yao inwardly groaned. She knew Wang Qiang was a troublesome person, and if she couldn't meet his demands, she would definitely be in big trouble.
"Wang Qiang, I was wrong this time, please don't be angry." Su Yao quickly lowered her head to admit her mistake. "But I really thought this matter was quite simple, so I didn't bother you. I didn't expect to make you so unhappy; it was my oversight." Su Yao was filled with remorse. She regretted not discussing it with Wang Qiang beforehand, which led to her current predicament.
"Simple? You think it's simple and then you won't come to me?" Wang Qiang sneered, his eyes filled with disdain. "Su Yao, don't treat me like a fool. I've done so many dangerous things for you, every single one of them risked my life. And now you're just going to dismiss me with a 'simple'? Let me tell you, if you don't give me a satisfactory explanation, I will absolutely not let this go. Think about it carefully, what will happen to you if I expose all those shady things you made me do in the past?" Wang Qiang's words were full of threat, and he stared intently at Su Yao, like a hungry wolf eyeing its prey.
Su Yao's face instantly turned ashen. She knew, of course, that Wang Qiang wasn't joking. If the truth were revealed, she would never be able to hold her head up high in this village again.
"Wang Qiang, don't be impulsive, let's talk this out." Su Yao tried to remain calm, but her slightly trembling voice betrayed her inner fear. "How much money do you want? Name your price."
Upon hearing that Su Yao had relented, Wang Qiang was secretly pleased. His eyes darted around, and he made an outrageous demand: "Two hundred yuan, not a penny less!"
Upon hearing this, Su Yao was startled. Two hundred yuan was no small sum; it was a heavy burden for her. But she also understood that she had no other choice but to try her best to meet Wang Qiang's demands.
“Okay, Wang Qiang, I’ll try to raise the money for you, but you have to promise me that you won’t bother me anymore after you get the money, and you can’t tell anyone about it.” Su Yao said helplessly, her heart filled with helplessness and anger. She hated herself for asking Wang Qiang for help in the first place, and now she was completely controlled by him.
Wang Qiang nodded in satisfaction: "Okay, I'll be waiting for your good news. But you'd better hurry, I don't have that much patience." With that, he turned and left triumphantly.
Watching Wang Qiang's departing figure, Su Yao was filled with resentment and helplessness. She knew she had to find a way to raise the two hundred yuan as soon as possible, otherwise Wang Qiang would definitely not let her go.
