After seeing Su Yao leave the educated youth settlement, Zhao Yu felt a strange impulse surge within him, and he followed her secretly, almost as if possessed. He walked very quietly, afraid of being discovered by Su Yao.
Throughout the journey, Zhao Yu's feelings were extremely complicated. He had always harbored special feelings for Su Yao, and had once thought of her as a kind and innocent girl. However, the scene he witnessed now filled him with doubt and disappointment.
When he witnessed Su Yao being blackmailed by Wang Qiang, he was deeply shocked. He had initially hoped there might be some misunderstanding, but the scene before him forced him to face reality. His eyes were filled with pain and despair; he couldn't accept that the beautiful image he held in his heart had crumbled like this.
"So Su Yao really is that kind of person," Zhao Yu murmured to himself, his voice trembling slightly. He felt as if a sharp sword had pierced his heart, the pain making it hard to breathe.
Zhao Yu stood there, watching Su Yao and Wang Qiang argue, his heart filled with conflict. He didn't know how to face this reality, nor did he know if his feelings for Su Yao should still exist.
After a while, Wang Qiang left triumphantly, leaving Su Yao alone. Zhao Yu looked at Su Yao's helpless figure, a pang of pity flashing through his heart, but it was quickly replaced by anger.
He turned and left this heartbreaking place. All the way home, the scene kept replaying in his mind, and the pain in his heart grew stronger. He didn't know what to do, or what his future held.
Back at the educated youth settlement, Zhao Yu lay on his bed, staring blankly at the ceiling. He couldn't calm down for a long time, and he began to reflect on whether his understanding of Su Yao had been too superficial. Perhaps, he had never truly understood Su Yao.
In the days that followed, Zhao Yu deliberately avoided Su Yao. He tried to forget this painful experience and rebuild his life. However, whenever he saw Su Yao, a complex mix of emotions would well up inside him.
Su Yao, however, was unaware that Zhao Yu had witnessed this scene. She was still troubled by how to get rid of Wang Qiang's harassment.
