Lin Qian's heart skipped a beat; that voice...
She looked up abruptly, and what came into view was an incomparably handsome face, with chiseled features, ink-black eyebrows, deep, star-like eyes, a high nose bridge, and thin lips slightly pursed, as if telling a thousand words.
He wore a long black robe, his hair was as black as a waterfall, his skin was as white as snow, and his temperament was aloof and noble, like a celestial being descended from the heavens, yet he also carried an indescribable charm.
Lin Qian stared blankly at the man in front of her, momentarily forgetting to react.
"Who are you……"
"Shh—" The man gently pressed his long fingers against her lips, a hint of a smile flashing in his deep eyes. "Don't speak, I'll heal your wounds."
After saying that, he lowered his head and gently pressed his thin lips to her injured left arm...
"hiss……"
The man's lips were burning hot, carrying a strange energy that spread from the wound to every part of her body. Lin Qian gasped in pain, her body instinctively trying to pull away, but the man forcefully held her in his arms.
"Don't move." The man's deep voice sounded in her ear, carrying an undeniable domineering air, yet strangely reassuring.
Lin Qian bit her lip and stopped struggling. She could feel a cool breath flowing between the man's lips and teeth, slowly entering her wound, as if soothing the raging demonic energy within her.
The burning sensation gradually subsided, replaced by a tingling, itchy feeling. Lin Qian couldn't help but let out a soft moan; this feeling... was damnably comfortable.
The man looked up at her flushed cheeks, a hint of a smile flashing in his deep eyes. He parted his thin lips slightly, his tone teasing: "What, is it so comfortable you can't stand it?"
Lin Qian snapped out of her daze, realizing her lapse in composure, and was immediately filled with shame and anger: "What nonsense are you talking about?!"
That man is so annoying!
She struggled to push him away, but he grabbed her wrist and pulled her closer.
"You..." Lin Qian exclaimed in surprise. Before she could react, she met a pair of deep, star-like eyes.
The man's gaze was intense, as if he wanted to draw her in, and Lin Qian's heart inexplicably quickened.
"Who exactly are you?" she couldn't help but ask, her voice trembling slightly.
The man looked at her, a wicked smile curving his thin lips: "Guess?"
Lin Qian: "..."
Is this person crazy?!
"Fine, don't tell me then!" Lin Qian glared at him angrily, forcefully shook off his hand, and turned to leave.
"Heh..." The man chuckled softly, following behind her at a leisurely pace. "Are you angry?"
Lin Qian ignored him and walked straight ahead.
"Don't worry, I mean you no harm," the man suddenly said, his tone serious. "My name is Ye Junli, what's yours?"
Lin Qian paused, but without turning around, she coldly uttered two words: "Lin Qian".
“Lin Qian…” Ye Junli repeated her name softly, his tone carrying a hint of ambiguous emotion, “It’s a very beautiful name.”
Lin Qian didn't say anything and continued walking forward.
After walking for an unknown amount of time, the footsteps behind her suddenly stopped. Lin Qian's heart skipped a beat, and she turned around sharply, only to find that there was no one behind her.
Ye Junli has disappeared.
"Where is 003?" Lin Qian asked in her mind.
"I don't know." 003's voice also carried a hint of doubt. "His aura has disappeared, and I can't track him down."
Lin Qian felt even more uneasy. Just who was this man? Why was he approaching her?
