Chapter 49 The Concubine's Daughter's Cultivation of Immortality 19

Lin Qian frowned and said to 003, "003, help me figure out the direction to the center of the secret realm."

“Yes, host. According to my senses, the center of the secret realm is in the southeast direction,” 003 responded quickly.

Lin Qian nodded and headed southeast without hesitation. She remained highly vigilant throughout, to avoid encountering danger again.

"003, how far are we from the center of the secret realm?" Lin Qian asked.

“Host, at our current speed, it will probably take us about three more days to arrive,” 003 replied.

“Three days…” Lin Qian repeated softly, her brows furrowing even more tightly. This secret realm was larger than she had imagined, and there were even more troubles to come.

Lin Qian frowned slightly and quickened her pace.

Lin Qian tightened her grip on the longsword and quickened her pace. The trees to the southeast grew increasingly tall, their branches intertwined, blocking out the sun, with only dappled sunlight filtering through, adding a touch of gloom to the dense forest.

"003, how come there isn't a single living creature in this godforsaken place? It's eerily quiet." Lin Qian lowered her voice, a hint of unease in her tone.

“Host, secret realms are usually fraught with danger. The quieter the place, the greater the danger may be. We must be even more careful.” 003’s voice was as calm as ever, but it made Lin Qian even more nervous.

After walking for about the time it takes for an incense stick to burn, the view suddenly opened up before us. The dense forest disappeared, replaced by a wide open meadow, lush with green grass and blooming flowers, like a paradise on earth. In the center of the meadow grew a huge ancient tree, its branches and leaves so thick that they blocked out the sun, like a giant green umbrella.

"Wow! How beautiful!" Even Lin Qian, who was used to seeing all kinds of rare treasures, was shocked by the scene before her and couldn't help but exclaim in amazement.

"Host, be careful!" 003 suddenly issued a warning, "Danger!"

Before Lin Qian could react, she felt a powerful force rushing towards her. Instinctively, she raised her sword to block, and with a loud clang, sparks flew everywhere. She was thrown back several steps, her hands went numb, and she almost lost her grip on the sword.

"What is that?!" Lin Qian steadied herself, took a closer look, and immediately gasped.

A gigantic spider was staring intently at her, its eight scarlet eyes gleaming with a ferocious light. A viscous liquid clung to its sharp fangs, making it repulsive. Its eight long legs were deeply embedded in the earth, and its entire body exuded a suffocating aura of power.

"003, what the hell is this?!" Lin Qian's voice even changed slightly.

"Giant Ghost-Faced Spider, highly venomous, and extremely aggressive." 003's voice unusually carried a hint of seriousness. "Host, be careful, this Ghost-Faced Spider's strength has already reached the level of a level seven demonic beast!"

A level seven demonic beast! Lin Qian cursed inwardly. How did this damn system teleport her to such a godforsaken place? She had just dodged a guy of unknown origin, and now a giant spider had appeared. This was a hellish start!

The giant ghost-faced spider didn't give her much time to complain. Its eight long, hairy legs suddenly kicked out, bringing a gust of foul wind as it pounced towards Lin Qian. Lin Qian barely dodged, feeling a burning pain as the foul wind brushed against her cheek. She swung her sword back at the spider's legs, but with a crisp "clang," the sword bounced off, failing to even shave a single spider hair.

"Damn! What is this thing? Is it made of iron?" Lin Qian couldn't help but curse. The Ghost-Faced Spider's defense was just too strong.

“Host, the Ghost Spider’s exoskeleton is extremely hard; ordinary weapons can hardly damage it in the slightest,” 003 calmly analyzed. “You need to attack its weak points, such as its eyes and abdomen.”

"Easy for you to say!" Lin Qian retorted irritably while dodging the attacks of the ghost-faced spider. "Then tell me, how am I supposed to attack its belly, which is harder than a wall of copper and iron?!"

"Host, calm down. You can try using your agility to find an opening in its attack..."

Before 003 could finish speaking, Lin Qian was swept away by the Ghost-Faced Spider's leg and crashed heavily to the ground, spitting out a mouthful of blood.

"Cough cough..." Lin Qian clutched her chest, feeling as if her internal organs had shifted, the pain making her vision blur. She struggled to stand up, only to find the Ghost-Faced Spider already close in, its eight scarlet eyes flashing with cruel excitement.

A stench assaulted her senses, and the giant ghost-faced spider's mandibles opened and closed with a chilling sound. Lin Qian endured the excruciating pain, rolling away to avoid the deadly attack. She struggled to get up, but found her vision blurred, stars flashing before her eyes, and her body felt like it was falling apart.

"Damn it, this thing really thinks highly of me!" Lin Qian cursed under her breath, spitting out a mouthful of bloody saliva. "003, do you have any quick-acting heart medicine or something? If this keeps up, I'll be done for myself before that thing even has to lift a finger!"

"Host, please don't say such discouraging things!" 003's voice rarely carried a hint of panic. "Your current situation is indeed not optimistic, but this Ghost-Faced Spider's weakness is also obvious. As long as..."

"Shut up! What I need now is concrete action, not some bullshit analysis!" Lin Qian rudely interrupted 003. She had no time to listen to its long-winded explanations. If she didn't come up with a solution soon, she would really become fertilizer for this godforsaken place!

Lin Qian gritted her teeth, forcing herself to calm down. She knew that panicking would only hasten her death. She took a deep breath, trying to concentrate on observing the enormous spider before her.
