Chapter 49 The Concubine's Daughter's Cultivation of Immortality 19

The ghost-faced spider clearly enjoyed watching its prey struggle in its death throes. Instead of attacking immediately, it slowly circled Lin Qian, its scarlet eyes filled with mockery and cruelty. Lin Qian knew it was searching for her weakness, preparing to deliver a fatal blow.

"A perfect opportunity!" Lin Qian's eyes lit up. The instant the Ghost-Faced Spider turned behind her, she hurled her longsword. The sword whistled through the air and pierced straight into one of the Ghost-Faced Spider's eyes.

"Hiss—" The Ghost-Faced Spider let out a shrill roar, the intense pain driving it into a frenzy. It wildly lashed out with its eight long legs, attacking everything around it. Taking advantage of the opportunity, Lin Qian scrambled to her feet and ran desperately toward the ancient tree.

"Host, what are you doing? Come back! That tree..." 003 shouted anxiously, "That tree..."

However, Lin Qian could no longer hear anything. She had only one thought: to survive! With all her might, she finally reached the foot of the ancient tree before the Ghost-Faced Spider could launch another attack.

Just then, something unexpected happened! A huge crack suddenly appeared in the trunk of the ancient tree, and a powerful suction force pulled Lin Qian into it...

The Ghost-Faced Spider, in pain, frantically shook its head, spurting out green blood that corroded the surrounding plants and trees. It roared angrily, its eight scarlet eyes fixed on the direction Lin Qian had fled, as if it wanted to tear her to shreds.

"Host, what are you doing?! Come back quickly! That tree..." 003's electronic voice was filled with anxiety and unease, but its warning was drowned out by the roar of the Ghost Spider and Lin Qian's rapid breathing.

Lin Qian knew, of course, that the ancient tree was strange, but she had no other choice. Rather than waiting to die, she might as well take a gamble and fight her way out. She gritted her teeth, endured the excruciating pain, and ran towards the ancient tree with all her might.

Just as the ghost-faced spider was about to catch up with her, Lin Qian felt herself being pulled by a tremendous suction force, her body uncontrollably flying towards the ancient tree. Her eyes widened in horror as she watched helplessly as she crashed into the thick trunk, and then everything went black…

When Lin Qian woke up again, she found herself lying in a warm and soft place. She groggily opened her eyes and found herself in a huge tree hollow. Soft vines and flowers that emitted a faint fragrance surrounded her, and twinkling lights above illuminated the small space.

"What kind of place is this..." Lin Qian struggled to sit up, only to find that her whole body ached and she couldn't even move a finger.

"Host, you're finally awake!" 003's voice was filled with the relief of surviving a disaster. "I thought you..."

"What did you think I was like?" Lin Qian rolled her eyes at it, annoyed. "Was I eaten by that stinky spider, or digested by this broken tree?"

“Uh…” 003 seemed to be choked by Lin Qian’s sharp tongue and couldn’t say anything for a long time.

Lin Qian ignored it and began to look around. The tree hollow was much larger than she had imagined, and it was unusually dry and warm, with a faint sweet fragrance in the air that made her drowsy.

"003, scan the surrounding environment and see if there is any danger," Lin Qianqiang instructed cautiously, trying to stay alert.

"Scan complete. No signs of life detected, nor any danger found." 003's voice sounded much more relaxed. "However, this tree hollow contains very rich spiritual energy, which will be very helpful for your recovery."
