Lin Qian's cultivation was already close to reaching the late Foundation Establishment stage in the cave filled with abundant spiritual energy. She concealed her aura and carefully observed her surroundings. To her delight, she discovered several strange plants growing deep within the cave. Lin Qian held her breath and slowly reached out, her fingertips gently touching a leaf that emitted a faint glow. A deafening roar came from behind the door, accompanied by a terrifying pressure that sent chills down one's spine.
Lin Qian's expression changed drastically; this oppressive aura was far beyond what she could currently withstand!
"Damn it, could some ancient ferocious beast be sealed inside?!"
Without a second thought, Lin Qian turned and prepared to flee the cave.
Lin Qian moved swiftly through the mountains and forests, trying to shake off the unsettling aura behind her.
"Host, that ferocious beast has already caught up with us!" 003's voice trembled slightly.
"What?!" Upon hearing this, Lin Qian's heart skipped a beat, and she immediately circulated her spiritual power to its limit, increasing her speed even further.
"Roar—!" A deafening roar rang out behind him, causing Lin Qian's blood to surge and her body to churn.
Damn it, who is this beast? It's so terrifying!
"003, is there any way to get rid of it?" Lin Qian asked anxiously.
"Host, run east! There's a cliff there; perhaps we can use the terrain to escape!" 003 quickly analyzed.
Based on the current situation, suggestions were given.
Without hesitation, Lin Qian immediately changed direction and fled eastward for her life.
The vibrations behind her grew closer and closer; the ferocious beast had clearly locked onto her presence and was relentlessly pursuing her.
Lin Qian gritted her teeth and increased her speed to the maximum. The wind whistled in her ears, and the shadows of the trees rushed past.
Finally, she saw the cliff that 003 had mentioned.
The cliff edge is shrouded in mist, its bottom unseen, inspiring awe and fear.
"Host, jump!" 003's voice rang in his mind.
Without hesitation, Lin Qian leaped off the cliff.
"Roar—!" The roar of the beast behind them was deafening, seemingly furious at Lin Qian's escape.
Lin Qian only felt the wind whistling past her ears as her body plummeted downwards.
The biting wind lashed across Lin Qian's face like a knife, and she closed her eyes in despair. The fear of death washed over her like a tidal wave; she could even imagine herself being shattered to pieces.
"Host, don't be afraid, I have a way!" 003's voice rang in my mind, tinged with a hint of panic.
The next moment, Lin Qian felt a strange energy envelop her entire body, and her descent suddenly slowed. She opened her eyes and found herself enveloped in a pale blue light curtain, slowly descending.
"What is this?" Lin Qian asked in surprise.
"This is a protective shield I just activated; it can absorb some of the impact," 003 explained. "But this thing consumes a lot of energy, so host, take it easy; I'm almost at my limit!"
Lin Qian looked down and saw that the bottom of the cliff was pitch black and bottomless, like a gaping maw of an abyss ready to devour anyone.
"If I fall down like this, won't I turn into a meat pie?" Lin Qian cursed inwardly, but there was nothing she could do.
"Host, prepare for an emergency landing!" 003's voice suddenly rose a few octaves.
Before Lin Qian could react, the light screen suddenly sank downwards, and she felt dizzy, as if her internal organs were about to be shaken out.
With a loud bang, Lin Qian fell heavily to the ground, feeling as if all the bones in her body had been broken, and she gasped in pain.
"Oh my god, I'm so glad I survived!" 003's voice also carried a hint of lingering fear. "Host, are you alright?"
